Aegis Labyrinthine is unknown and forgotten
Looking for trouble! [hand to hand advancement thread||closed Aegis Labyrinthine]

*~The Month of Cryxatum, in the Season of Summer, Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIV Post Fractum, the Second Era of the Regency of Milo L'Evienne~*

The summer suns shone down on the jet black minotaur was he marched in his new dwarven steel armour and gauntlets. The golden-bronze steel reflected the beams of light like a jewel. It was comfortable for the beast to wear and on a normal humanoid it would have weighed him down like a paper weight... but he was far from being a normal humanoid. The strength of a minotaur could handle this type of armour as if it were leather!

As he walked, the 15 inch spike on each shoulder armour swayed forth and back with each step, but stuck out at a 45 degree angle as to not hit his horns. The griffin wings, he tore off of the creatures whom had attacked him, draped behind him like a grand feathered cloak. It was an impressive type of armour that Aegis decided it was time to test!

Only the Prime Countryside could pull off the randomness of a possible attack from a wild beast or possibly bandits. It was safe to say that Aegis was out looking for trouble.

The dwarven steel gauntlets that he wore came equipped with 20 inch blades attached to the sides of them with a notched edge used to trapping blades and with a flick of the wrist he could break them... not to mention they also were sharpened along the edge for a powerful slice as well as a tapered tip for piercing. This was what he wanted to test the most! This was more a weapon than it was armour and with his incredible strength, Aegis could really do some damage!

The ground gave a deep thump as his hooves crushed the blades of grass with each step as he headed towards a wooded area. Whether he was going to test his gear on trees or a live animal, the woods would probably be his best bet.

As Aegis came closer to the woods he started hearing the sound of drums. When he reached the first line of trees he was able to distinguish something moving ahead of him. The sound of drum again. Roars and shouts. The sound of heavy steps. The smell of something burning. The Minotaur was getting closer to the source of all those noises and smells. Suddenly the scream of a woman pierced through his ears almost silencing all.
Something with a deep voice laughing and another even deeper voice talking to the first in some unknown language. Another scream from the woman.

"Let him be!"

Aegis heard the woman saying.

"Ang loge dah fun?!"

The deep voice asked and laughed and enchased. The Minotaur could hear whoever had laughed trying to recover the breath, then with a mighty roar and spit it managed to breath again.

"Argh! Naw mee is eading im!"

"NOOO!!!"

The sound of fight was heard the a moment of silence followed by the sound of metal piercing through flesh and blood beind spilt. Aegis could listen to the woman crying and to the sound of meat being burnt in a bonfire. After a moment he would listen to the sound of a feast as the two individuals who were helding the woman captive ate something.

Aegis was reaching the clearing where all this was happening, what would he do?

Aegis leaned against a tree as he listened in on what was going on deeper in the woods. The terrified scream of the woman rattled his horned head and filled him with anger. He could tell there were at least two of these pigs picking on a weak woman, so he doubted they would be much of a problem if that was their speed.

Slowly he moved, hoof by hoof along the ground between the trees, trying to keep as quiet as he could until he could get a clearer visual of what he would be up against. Aegis' dwarven steel sword breaking blades, that were attached to the outside of his gauntlets, were raised in a defensive position, should he need to dismember something that approached. For now, though, he just wanted to see how many of the bastards were visible, and where the woman was so he would not endanger her by his presence. This was a difficult situation because time was of the essence. Aegis could not take his time, but he could not rush into this fight unprepared for what laid ahead either, because it sounded as though something was had already been killed...

When Aegis spied through the foliage all he could see was something huge, something enormous sitting in front of him with its back turned to the Minotaur. The immense back were covered with black and dirty hair and the head of what looked to be a monster was bald except for a strange ponytail pointing up. On both side of the head Aegis could see two long pointy ears following the skull's curve and then falling over the creatures shoulders. The Minotaur had heard tales of Ogres and their bloody habits but he had never seen one, and see wasn't all he could do when spying, the creatures stench came to his nose.

The stench of the monster's body was so intense and the look of it with piece of rotten skin, not to mention the amount of infect wounds that Aegis started feeling something on his nose. It started like a tickle, then the tickle increase until it seemed he had a squirrel playing inside it. The Minotaur sneezed. If he'd look up again he'd see the monster in front of him hadn't move, but its ears had became tense and were now pointing back, instead of falling over its back.

The mourn and crying of the woman in the other side of the clearing stopped, the sound of meat being cooked over the fire stopped. The clearing fell in silence. Silence remained for a long time and then the sound of something being moved over the dead foliage on the ground started beinh heard. Then the sound of something standing. Over the Ogre's head Aegis could see another Ogre standing up, an enormous club over its shoulder. The creature smelled the air with its ugly nose and when it opened its mouth to speak to the Ogre sitting near Aegis no sound came from it.

The Ogre was seeing him as cleary as Aegis was seeing it. The rotten teeth on the Ogres mouth colored in brown, yellow and red rubbing on each other, then a tongue weated the creature's lips. It was hungry and it had seen food.

OOC:How tall and fat would these ogres be, roughly?

IC: So much for sneaking up on the foul creatures... Aegis cursed himself mentally for sneezing and giving away his position. Oh well, it was too late to worry about that now. The ugly green face of the wretched ogre was looking right at Aegis, but his friends back was still facing the minotaur. Now was the time had for action.

Aegis quickly raised his gauntlets with the sharp, tapered tips ready to be plunged into the rotting flesh of the sitting ogre. The heavily armoured minotaur was going to attempt to jump as high as he could and slam his sharp notched 20 inch blades in the spine either to stab him with the ends by his fists or to slam the sharp edge and let them drag, cutting his skin open, hopefully severing a rib or two as gravity pulled Aegis down.

The Ogre with the club stood some eight feet in height and rushed forward in the moment Aegis jumped over the sitting Ogre, the fatest one of the two. The Minotaur's blades pierced through the creature's hide and hit the bones underneath, unfortunately he could reach the spine and as he fell on the ground again he opened two long and deep wounds on the monster's back. The Ogre could only scream in pain and surprise and was silented by his own companion's club that had tried to hit Aegis head when he jumped. The fatest Ogre fell to his right unconscious and the taller one raised its club again to try and hit Aegis who had been completely covered in black blood and fat from the fatest Ogre.

The Minatos exile had fell on the ground heavily and managed to roll and stand just to see the raised Ogre's club over his head. The woman screamed and the taller Ogre turned to her and roared. It was enraged and would kill everything nearby. But some things came first and the Minotaur was a threat to it. The fatest Ogre would have ran to the woman and eat her raw before turning to face Aegis, but this one wouldn't. He was a tribal warrior and he had seen the Dwarven armor and its greed called for it. Bringing the club down it tried to smash the Minotaur with a powerful attack.

It was a disgusting feeling to be covered in the sludge that poured from the fat ogres veins, but Aegis could not help but hide a faint smile as the larger of the two dropped to the right after being smashed by his own kind.

The tattooed minotaur planted his hooves firmly in the ground as the tall ogre slammed his weapon towards him like a comet. The blood covered blades attached to his gauntlet raised above Aegis' head, ready to intercept the club and hopefully break it in half or have his stuck in the sharp edge.

If Aegis was successful in blocking the club, he would then bring his other bladed gauntlet and attempt to cut the hand or fingers off that held the wooden club. If for some reason things did not go according to plan, his best bet was to strife to the opposite side the club was coming from and counter attack from the side by slamming his blade into the kidney area of the ogre.

The Ogre's club met the Minotaur's blades making wooden shards fly in all directions, one even cutting Aegis' upper lip and making a tiny red line of blood appear, painting his mouth red. The strength of the attack made Labyrinthine's hooves inter the soft earth underneath them and made his arms tremble and his shoulders hurt. The Ogre's strength surpassed his and that of everything he had met, except maybe a Giant Knight he had met months before.

A moment of great tension passed until Aegis charged in trying to reach the Ogre's hand. The shaft of the club was long as he only managed to severed the head of the monster's thumb before the beast kicked him with a roar. The Minotaur went flying against a tree and then fell to the ground with great noise due to his armor. Thankfully it was well built and had taken most of the hit, but still he was slightly hurted on his back and neck.

In the meanwhile the Ogre screamed in anger at the sight of the wound Aegis had made on it. With a huge roar, and while Aegis was still trying to stand, he charged in again with its club raised high in the air.

Aegis' arms felt like they were vibrating from the impact the club made against his gauntlets. Had the beast been wearing anything but dwarven steel, he figured his bones would have shattered. These ogres were stronger than he given them credit for, but alas, he felt a deep satisfaction from severing the tip of his thumb. With any luck it would distort his club handling.

After being kicked against the tree, Aegis began to raise to his hooves, spitting the blood from his lip onto the ground. He was enraged and wanting this ogre to die, but when he looked over at his foe, he could see the ogre was thinking the same thing about him. With only a moment to react, the beast figured that since he wasn't quite on his hooves yet, he would dive out of the way just before the ogre made contact from charging. If his dive was successful, he would get onto his feet as fast as he could and charge the ogre with his gauntlet blades ready to slam into his flesh.

The Minotaur thought well in diving away from the incoming club for the strength of this attack was far greater than the previous and had crushed Aegis like it crushed the trunk of the tree in which the horned warrior had hit. Pieces of wood flew in the air and the Ogre lost the grip on the weapon due to the inhuman strength with which he used it. The monster roared in anger and turned to find try and find his adversary. The creature's face was distorted with pain, its eyes widening and its tongue fell from the smelly and wide opened mouth full of half rotten teeth. As the Ogre's eyes peered down they saw one of Aegis' blades inside its gut.

The Minotaur had dived away from the attack and managed to attack the monster from behind although never thinking it would turn so quickly. So instead of stabing the Ogre on the back the Minotaur stabbed him in the gut. Unfortunately for Labyrinthine this was no simple Ogre but a quite old and hardened one with an immense gut with a thick skin. The blade attached to the gauntlet had penetrated deep but hadn't made much damage beneath the skin. For Aegis' luck the Ogre wasn't used to pain due to his higher status among other Ogres and got surprised what allowed him to pierce through the hide with the other blade.

The monster's roar echoed through the woods and made the woman silence her crying. Enraged the old creature brought his long arms down and held Aegis' both raising him in the air and removing the blades from its body. The Minotaur saw himself being raised in the air and soon he started feeling some tension in his shoulders, then in his whole body. The Ogre was pushing him from both sides, trying to break the nut of his armor to get to the soft inner content.

Aegis was damn lucky to have equipped his armor before this fight because had he not, he would have been ground beef long ago. The bullman clenched his teeth as pressure came from both sides of him as the ogre displayed his massive strength. It felt as though his armor could snap at any moment. If only his arms were free...

Feeling trapped, the beast struggled in the iron grip of the green bastard, grunting and cursing. It was no use... He was moments away from being crushed like an insect. "You can never beat the great Aegis Labyrinthine!" He roared as he mustered all the strength he could to use his rock hard hooves to kick at the ogre's face or neck. The ogre had tough skin but surely his windpipe was a weak spot as it was with most beings... He had to try. Time was running out!
