[Feedback] Map of Aelyria Prime
Hello, Everyone!
For the past week, I have been exhaustively reading pretty much every major location post, and using the Game Master parent documents for Aelyria Prime, comparing them with the historical uses of Aelyria Prime, and coming up with a single, comprehensive "sketch" of Aelyria Prime. The resultant map is a simple outline of Aelyria Prime's districts and wards (parishes).
I will be making use of this map in preparing a series of Aelyria Prime wiki entries that will serve as supporting documentation materials for our new plans for Aelyria Prime. A few of the districts herein are referred to by their ancient names (e.g., "Ostward" instead of "Eastward"), or by their historic names (e.g., "Zephyr" instead of "Windibreeze"). Several new parishes and wards have been added to reflect "neighborhoods" that were referenced (specifically, Unicorn and Dragon are new parishes that complement Lion ("Black Lion")), and the outlying townships of Highport, Prateia, and Qurstat had been integrated into the city limits (though whether they will be represented as a part of Aelyria Prime, and are just listed here for reference purposes, will depend upon role playing).
Feel free to provide feedback and responses on what you think about the positioning of these parishes and wards. Thanks!
Best regards,
Juan

I think this thread may help a bit. It is about my PC showing Aelyria Prime to a newcomer in town. I hope it helps

Didn't there used to be a big tourney fields/coliseum/fairgrounds (depending on the mod! ) to the north-ish of Prime? Or is that incorporated into one of the parishes now? I admit I didn't really keep up with the parishes

Thanks, Eyvind!
And, yes, Aesha. Tourney Fields are now a part of the Unicorn parish. Technically, they were outside of Aelyria Prime, beyond the Lion Parish (in Old Prime), on the road to Highport.

I love the map Juan.. .just one quick comment. I made a small parish (about where that little ear is on the IF to the south of it) on the river called Goldcrown Parish. It was designed to be an IF river gate, house the imperial yachts, and provide secure water entry to the IF so that the high profile folks didn't have to go all the way through the city to get to the IF and could come and go as they please.
Did you eliminate this? If so, thats cool, but it was interwoven into a lot of threads.

Thanks, Gossamer!
Aucore is the Aelyrian name for Goldcrown, so the Parish is definitely represented there. Did I get it in roughly the right location?

Oh! Looks good to me! We need an Aelyrian to English Dictonary! *looks right, then looks left, then blushes*

Great, and yes, I was a bit arbitrary with some of the renaming choices (and they may or may not stick); I'm trying to consider whether I should merge some historical places, create new places, or stylistically integrate them somehow. As long as I get the general position of everything, I can start low-level mapping.
Thanks again!

Thanks! Just updated the map (rename of Solum parish, added shallow coast, the Coat of Arms of Ioannes, and nicer font for city name).

Yes. The official name of the Military District is "the Castle", due to the presence of Castle Aelyria which essentially encloses its wards in urban and defensive battlements. More details can be found in the ward listing of the new Aelyria Prime wiki article I'm working on today.
