The two storied building was located across a green grass and flower-filled plot near the Rak Temple. A white sign hung from brass rings indicated: Aedile.
Oaken doors opened into a foyer with polished slat floors. An assistant stood behind the counter. Various display cases of maritime artifacts were positioned around the room. There were ships in bottles, ship’s wheels, a rolled ship's scroll, ship’s nets, and portraits of ships.
The assistant politely waited for a sign that help was needed. The artifact case had a sturdy lock built into the cherry wood.
