Abstract

The most common race in Aelyria, Humans are the dominant people in the east of the Continent. Three words best exemplify the strength of Humans: diversity, ingenuity and adaptability. No other race has as many beliefs practiced or as many professions worked, few races match their ability to think creatively, and no race has proven to accept change as well as Humanity. The energetic will and potent drive of Humans has compelled them to be capable of doing anything to which they set their minds and hearts, and because they are neither blessed nor cursed in any specific trait or attribute they set the standards by which all other races are measured.

In addition to the adaptability and resourcefulness of the Human race, humans are also fairly capable of being charismatic, capable warriors, skilled negotiators, shrewd politicians, and revel in facing challenges and trying to adapt to overcoming them. There is little wonder, therefore, as to why the human race has literally dominated Aelyria for ages now. Through their adaptability, humans can individually specialize and focus on particular professions or callings. This creates a general balance between all humans, in that finding one human that is an expert at a certain craft, one will surely find another human is equally inept at it, but proportionally skilled elsewhere. This central principle of balance is reflected in Humanity's racial makeup, and it is believed to be why Humans are the only people capable of successfully interbreeding? with most other races.
