Race Name
Esh'lahier, Pale Elves, Shadow Elves.
Anatomy
Although the Esh'lahier have a generally elven physique, their characteristics are far from typical. Their long, incredibly thin arms and legs look almost arachnid in appearance, setting off their slender torsos. The muscles of their bodies are more akin to those of a cat than a Human, making them quicker than the average biped while decreasing the strength of their limbs. The set of their features is usually quite angular, with high, sharp cheekbones and a slightly slanted look to their almond eyes. Their long ears, more sharply pointed than those of the light elves, also have a secondary point halfway down the length. Eyes are usually colored in shades of brown, gray, or gold, though florescent colors can be expressed on very rare occasions.
These uncommon colors can vary from green to violet, and usually stand out as a stark contrast to their pale visage. The skin of an Esh'lahier is colored on the lightest end of the spectrum, ranging from a pure, milky hue to the lightest of tans. Hair comes in similar, if more varying, tones. A pale elf may have either white or silver hair, even the lightest shades of blonde, but usually it comes in a combination of the different hues. It is rare for an Esh'lahier to have stark alabaster hair, or completely colored like their prized metal adamantine. In general, their height can vary as much as that of any Human, though they hardly ever top six and a half feet.
To some, they are considered a beautiful race, while to others, their difference is unappealingly severe. One who has lived with the Esh'lahier for a long while may think of the light-born races as too soft and curved, while the opposite may be true for a being dwelling in a place like Silrosia.
