[Limelight Tavern] Don't even think about it. (Private)
Second Cycle of Aperitus, Season of Summer.
Finding an tavern in the ruined city was not easy and almost exhausting, more grating on the nerves because Nymira was enjoying whining about the heat and the fact that they didn't even need to be there. A proper city would have a tavern a proper city would have an Inn...blah blah, couldn't this animal be silent even for a moment. She thanked whatever Gods had chosen to end her suffering and put a tavern in front of them, at least inside it should be a bit cooler and if anything, Jade can dump water over her bondmates head. She enjoyed the rather mysterious appearance her cloak gave her and so she kept the hood up, a bit of brunette hair poking out, her hard emerald eyes practically glowing as she entered the establishment.
She groaned and rolled her eyes as the catcalls and stares came, but such was expected, not because of her looks but because she was a woman. If there was one thing Jade couldn't stand, it was a drunk man believing he had a chance with her, the end of her staff had thumped many men over the head for their arrogance and put most in her place, a second strike to a different head was sometimes needed to get her point across. She tightened her grip on her staff as she moved into the large building, it was crude and a bit shabby compared to some of the other taverns she had been in, the floor was crude at best and had many patches that made it look so...shabby.
Nymira snuffed but said nothing as to the appearance, it was a tad cooler inside then it had been outside and at least in here they could rest themselves. Men would approach her bondmate and Jade would turn them away, it went on in every tavern they went into, it was amusing though to see Jade's reaction to any that chose to approach her, some she was sarcastic and at times cruel, others she ignored outright. A few had gotten their drinks thrown back in their face and others....well others hadn't been so lucky.
Taking a table near the corner as she usually did, she waited for a waitress to come over and ordered an ale. While getting drunk in Natura had been quite an experience, she figured it would never happen anywhere else, anywhere else didn't have the spring protecting her from murder and such, she chose not to take her chances. She kept her staff close and eyed those staring with hard eyes, most staring turned their aways from her, fear showing in them. Jade didn't care if she scared others, in fact she liked it. She let back the hood of her cloak and let her long brown hair fall out, it felt a lot cooler on her neck.
Nymira took her place beside the chair, the bartender obviously didn't have anything against Nymira's presence, either that or he was too afraid to ask her to leave. Either way, Nymira was happy, she rested her head on her front paws and relaxed, glad to be out of the hot sun and just resting.

The key difrence between the wannabe and the profesional had always been one simple thing. The wannabe's slunk into a tavern taking their shadowy corners visibly trying to remain unoticed. The profesional, simply walked in, took a practical seat and hid in plain site. The young woman who entered the tavern was obviously of the latter. her steps were soft, creating as lil noise as possible and moved with a smooth grace of one who did it without thinking. Her movements in general held a certain feminine grace and precision that belied one who knew how to move. Though this could translate into many things, Dimnersti had seen performers who moved with an unearlthly grace, their bodies carefully toned tools they used to entertain. The cold indiferance with wich she treated the drunken locals who tried to grab her attention though removed that possability. A mercinary or the like most likley.
The large furry form that followed so close was another hint, it wasn't a pet, it didn't follow obediantly at her heals, it traveled with her, a companion, wich led again toward someone of a combative nature. he'd never understood why, but those who lived a life always near death seemed far more apt to that sort of thing.
If she was indeed a mercinary as he suspected she was an aquantance worth making, it was always good to know potential allies, and potential enemies even better. That she was an atractive suprisingly young female, well that was admitedly a motivation as well. But dim was a male, and no matter the species that was always a motivation within men. The question then though, was what was his in? he couldn't simply purchase her a drink, she'd likely keep the drink and reject him off hand, The usual silly tactics wouldn't particularly work either as shewed rather little intrest in those around her.
A small nod to thebartender and a few silvers across the bar and he had a small bowl of water, animals had always taken a liking to him, so why not try to use that now. Taking his cloak, wich he'd folded and set next to him, wich he'd not even wear if it wern't for his need of the shadows of the hood to travel during the day, and the small bowl of water in the other he aproached the young woman and the wolf? leaning slightly to set the bowl of water near nymiria. he wasn't foolish enough to set it right at her mouth, that was inviting a bite.
"It cant be pleasent having so much fur on such a warm day" he said softly as he waited for nymiria's response to the offered water. he was sitting at a slight squat, expecting her as most dogs would, to sniff at his hands and register the scent.

Jade never chose to gaze at any one admirer in the crowds, she didn't care about race or blood, it was foolish to care about blood when the person was the one you needed to judge. Jade's friends consisted of humans, mendonian elves and a half Vyssie elf, which showed she cared nothing for race unless it was an orc, though she didn't even think of those heartless creatures as alive, they were things that needed to be exterminated in the cruelest way possible. Such came from her past and what had occurred then, she would never forgive the orc race, whether they had a hand in the massacre or not.
Ignoring those around her was an art, Nymira doing well though she would growl at the occasional drunk who got too close to her or Jade, she was Jade's protector, even though Jade could take care of herself. Movement nearby caught her eye even though Jade didn't notice it, her dark eyes following the path the Vyssie took towards the two women, a bowl in his hands. Did he expect to give it to Jade or her? "Incoming." Nymira warned, Jade looked up thinking it was the waitress, though her hand immediately moved towards her staff, the feel of it in her hands gave her comfort and hopefully would show the newcomer that she didn't play games.
Usually a man chose to try and buy her a drink and when they chose to do that, they normally got it through back in their faces with a few rude words or rude gesture. She didn't like that sort of thing and currently had a certain man on her mind anyway, nevermind he most likely would forget about her soon enough, it was understandable if he chose to do so anyway. Her hard emerald eyes followed the Vysstichi's movements, not distrusting him because what he was but because where they were. He took the bowl in his hands and placed it near Nymira, that had better have been water or he would get bitten pretty fethin hard, feth he most likely would get bit anyway.
He noted Nymira's hot condition and commented on how hot she must have been, of course she was hot. Jade said nothing at the moment, waiting to see what Nymira would do, it was her the Vyssi was obviously interested in, not Jade. "Oh look Nymira, you have an admirer." Nymira growled softly. "Shut it!"
Nymira got to her feet, this man thought of her as a dog, holding out his hand expecting her to fethin sniff it! She took a drink of the water, allowing the cooless to soothe her before walking forward as though she was going to sniff his hand, then she lunged forward, moving to knock him over from his squat, her large paws on his chest and her teeth bared.
Jade looked down at Dimnersti with a disinterested look on her face. "Next time you hit on her, I would spend more crowns on her." She couldn't hide the faint smile, the only show of amusement at his current situation. "Let him up." Nymira growled and then pushed off his chest, expecting him to scamper off and return to his corner and let the two of them alone.

His moving to rub his chest lightly where nym's claws had dug into his chest a lil as she nocked him over "Well I didn't imagine she'd enjoy a fine wine, though if thats what she'd prefer I'd be happy to offer one in apology" he said a small hint of a smile on his lips. It wasn't quite what he'd expected, and it struck him as odd. Animals were usualy rather taken of him, almost unaturaly so. though with the small looks between the two the subtle body langauge that offered nym her commands sugested the creature was fairly inteligent.
Standing slowly he pulled the gloves from his fingers and rubbed at his hips and chest a lil. "You know sometimes I wish this extended to more than just my fingers." he said as he clicked the white marble of the apendages togethor lightly.
Stooping lightly he scooped up his cloak wich he'd dropped when the dog had leapt at him, His fingers moving back to gently rub at his chest, it wasn't as if he actualy fealt anything with his fingers but the sensation was a bit of a reflex and just the action itself was soothing, a long trained response that the removal of ones senses didn't really interupt.

Nymira went back to drinking the water that he had given to her, looking as though she was completely ignoring him now, though her atttention was still on him if he got angry for her attack. Jade's comment caused her to inwardly laugh and see how the man would recover now, he had been foolish in approaching them yet he didn't do what she had expected and that caused her to wonder if he was insane or drunk. She hadn't hurt him much anyway, her nails dug into his chest a bit but he would live, well not if he chose to continue talking to them of course.
"You'd be surprised what sort of drink Nymira enjoys, though I highly doubt you want to get her tipsy." Her voice remained nuetral and uninterested, though the faint smile remained on her face. Nymira finished off the water and knocked the bowl over purposely, sitting up and staring at him with her dark eyes, intelligence shining there along with annoyance.
Jade sat back in her chair and watched him get to his feet, she wondered why he would wear gloves in the summer, though she was wearing a cloak and long sleeved dress in the summer, so maybe he had something to hide as well. She rolled her eyes, Nymira hadn't hurt him that bad, he should know better then to approach a huge animal that didn't look like the sweetest animal in the world.
She soon realized why he wore gloves, he had stone fingers?!
How could one have stone fingers, it didn't seem possible yet here it was, suddenly she wanted him to put the gloves back, but really was it all that weird. She chose to ignore the face and make no mention, she wouldn't ask questions because really she didn't want to know.
She arched her brow as he scooped his cloak up, his stone fingers moving over to rub the place where Nymira's claws had dug into. "Having fun there?" She asked curiously, if he was going to act odd like this, he could do it somewhere else, she was trying to relax and she didn't need some odd Vyssi ruining her time. "Either sit down and drink or go away."

Taking the seat wich she had inadvertantly offered he gave the waiter a small wave ordering another drink, the wine was swill, but you couldn't really expect anything all that good in paxia, anything of quality had been found by looters long ago, and rather depresingly, probly drank by some peasent with no sense of texture or taste or even worse simply dumped into a stew pot..
"Yes, I dont imagine I would." he said as he slid his gloves back on, the way she'd looked at without actualy looking at his fingers meant one of two things really, either she was disturbed a lil by them, or she found herself particularly cuirous, but she didn't seem the sort to simply ask, so it was likely they'd just serve as a distration. Well and admitedly, he tended to feal a lil self concious when they were out. With the gloves on he could forget they were stone, the lack of sensation blamed on the the gloves, not to mention the practical aspect, stone didn't function so well with glass after all.
"Hmm, I guess its best to be direct, Your a mercinary or something of the sorts yes? Your demeanor suggests you'v some skill at least." he said rather plainly. Blunt yes, but she didn't exactly seem the sort to enjoy small talk and he figured it was likely the best way to open any conversation. Not that he wouldn't be pleased to simply sit and share a drink with the young woman, if you were going to drink swill, you might as well have a decent view while doing so.

She wasn't sure if he actually would take her "offer" of sitting down, especially with how Nymira was behaving, but surely he had come over for a reason and trying to placate Nymira first met he was trying to keep from getting bit so he could talk to Jade most likely. The waitor looked at her for a moment, setting her chosen drink in front of her and then heading off to fill Dim's order. "Why did you invite him to join us?" Jade shrugged, and took a drink of her ale, this man had braved being bitten by a huge wolf, minds well give him a few minutes before she crushed any other chance he had and sent him off.
She winced at the taste, the stuff wasn't fit to suit anyone, it was absolutely disgusting. She pushed her drink aside and looked over to Dim, studying him carefully, the way he spoke and his body language. She was normally a good judge in character but she had to be careful not to get caught or he might think she was actually interested in him. She was glad he chose to put his gloves back on, looking at stone fingers was just weird and only tempted her further to ask how it had happened, out of sight, out of mind.
Best to be direct? She almost laughed at his suggestion that she was a mercenary, it was laughable at best. She was a Sanguine, not some petty mercenary that took any job they could for any amount of money, she felt she was higher then that, she actually had a purpose. Of course it was an ego boost for him to notice that she was no fragile woman, perhaps he had come over thinking that and wanted a job done. Some skill? Was she supposed to be flattered or insulted by that comment? "Very perceptive aren't you, yes, I am in that sort of work." She smiled and leaned back in her chair, Aelyria was filled with those of bounty hunters and she was one of them. "If you believed me to be as such, wouldn't you be afraid of me?" She was teasing but in a rather cold way, she was confident, that much was clear. "And I assure you, I have more then just "some" skills." A sick mind would most likely twist that, though she had no way of knowing if Dim had a sick mind or not.
"You got a name?"

Some skills.. was that a hint? A mild sugestion of personal intrest? Or was it mearly a slip of the tongue and acidental innuendo. Probly best to assume the latter, his extremeties may be made of smooth porcelain marble, but that didn't keep nymiria from causing rather painfull injury were he to offend.
"Dimnersti D'rinishad" He offered with a polite nod. Taking a breif sip of his drink he offered a breif grimace as he stomached it down "Absolute swill, but its cleaner than the water." he said as he set it back to the table.
His hand moving in a small iritated gesture he brushed the pale strands of white from his eyes "Heh, afraid, I'm far more used to inspiring the fear than fealing it I'm afraid." he said with a wolfish grin. [b]"And I wouldn't particularly call myself perceptive, its just the sort of thing you learn to recognize, I'm sure you can easily recognize another of the same trade. You just develop a way of carying yourself."[b] The calluses that any who worked with a blade or any other weapon formed between the thumb and forefinger helped as well.

Nymira growled at Dimnersti as he took a seat, she didn't much like the man and couldn't imagine why Jade would invite him to drink with her unless she was really bored and thought this man could amuse her in some way. Nymira saw the stone appendages as well and wondered if this man was a mage of some sort, he was not Rhasic, she knew that much and so she wasn't too worried about him and also surely a mage wouldn't have been foolish enough to approach a black beast and expect her to be kind.
While others may have acknowledged his name as something of importance, Jade didn't, she cared nothing for names or family ties, perhaps because she herself has no family ties. She nodded as he gave his name and for a moment, considered letting it go at that, after all, he hadn't asked for her name. "Name's Jade." No surname given nor any title of any given, she could have lied and given a fake name, but what fun was that? "Your name is quite the mouthful, I will call you either "you" or Dim, whichever I prefer."
She couldn't believe that he was able to ingest the contents the tavern called ale, he called it swill but Jade doubted it could attain such status, it was muddy swamp water from what she could tell and she couldn't believe they actually served it to the people there. Didn't this ruined city have the funds to provide actual ale to the people? Hopefully she wouldn't be in this city long. She watched Dim for any signs of hostility or perhaps that he lusted for her, neither would be a shocker to her, you met many different sorts of people in a tavern and she had dealt with many violent or lustful men.
He brushed his white hair from his eyes and seemed to take well to her comment of his fear. It was foolishness that had brought him over to speak to her and while normally she would have ignored it rather then encourage it, she found it to be an entertaining distraction for the moment. He was a mere distraction, that was it. Inspiring fear, was he trying to impress her or perhaps stir some fear up in her as well, he wasn't an idiot and he wasn't a drunk as far as she could tell, she didn't know what he was, not that she would believe anything he told her. "Your sort of fear must only work on certain people Dim." She said with a cold smile on her face. Nymira snickered within Jade's mind and Jade couldn't help but laugh a little as well.
She arched an eyebrow at the elf, was he telling her that he too was a mercenary of sorts? While the man in front of her was no pushover by any stretch of the imagination from what she could tell, he didn't seem like the sort that was in her line of business so to speak. Perhaps he was an amatuer, a man that only went into the killing business because he was bored or maybe he was so good, he was able to trick Jade into thinking he was a fool. "Funny that you recognized me as such and yet I was unable to recognize you as "another of my trade" as you put it, perhaps it was your entrance that kept me from seeing this."
"What sort of mercenary walks up to a large wolf and offers water, did you believe her to be less dangerous then approaching me?" She kept a smile the whole time, though it was anything but kind, she was enjoying herself, though she might stop if she found her remarks to really be hitting buttons with the man. "What brings a man such as yourself to a ruined city like Paxia?" She was simply trying to make little talk for the moment until she grew bored and sent Dim away.

"heh, my sort of fear. To be honest I cant imagine people legitametly being afraid of me. Most though, save you curiousily enough, have trouble seeing beyond the charcoal skin, pale hair and violet eyes." he said with a playfull smile. "And I didn't say it was my trade, mearly that I was able to recognize those within it same as you would." he added with a grin, curious how she'd take the slight dodge in his answer.
"And you assume I put much thought into my actions, nymiria looked warm so I mearly offered water. She cant very well order it herself after all, though I imagine she could make you do it if she realy wanted." he added giving the wolf a thaughtfull gaize, it seemed a fairly inteligent creature, and the lightborn seemed to have a nack with comuning with primitive creatures, perhaps because theyd spent so long trying to become more like them.
"As for what would bring me, it begs the same question of you. The fighting is over so your notlikely to be here for work, and lovely as you may be I cant imagine your here out of some charitble desire to help. Jilted by a lover perhaps? here to seperate him from his pride so to say? Though I guess either way its of little concern to me. heh, for me, its simple, a city reborn is a city of many potentials. I mearly wish to take advantage of a few." he said somewhat teasingly. It pehraps wasn't the best idea to tease her to such a degree, but wisdom and humor were often at odds and humor always won,

Jade watched as Dim made a sort of contradictive statement on fear, when he first spoke, he had spoke of instill fear in others and now he said that he couldn't imagine anyone being afraid of him, which was it? She was going to ask in a rather sarcastic way, but he chose to mention rascism with her, not saying she was guilty of it of course, quite the opposite really. "I see no reason to dislike Vysstichi or Esh, well for their blood anyway, their personality is what I make my judgement on." She looked him over a bit and laughed. "If they are lucky enough to have one that is."
He was dodging her question and she wasn't sure she liked that, either he was of her trade or he wasn't, he seemed odd to her, he was confusing most likely on purpose and hard to read even for her. "So are you a mercenary or did they not accept you into our trade." A rather thinly veiled taunt that was meant to see if she was able to get a rise out of the man. "I would think a Vysstichi would be perfect for such a task, most people fear them by reputation, they see one and either spite it or run screaming."
Nymira heard her name and looked upwards, but said nothing, she merely watched and waited for Jade to knock him off his chair or something amusing. "He's right about that, I could have done so." Jade scoffed at the thought. "No one makes me do anything, not even Nymira." She was firm with that because she believed it was true, while Nymira would ask for something to be done, she couldn't make Jade do what she didn't wish to do.
"Haven't you ever heard of visiting a city simply for pleasure of being in a new city? I didn't come for work or giving any poor devils charity of any sort." Jilted by a lover, now that was laughable, why did he think that just because she was beautiful and not traveling with a man meant she was jilted? "You're right, my reasons for being here are not your concern, I merely asked you that question as a way of making small talk, since I don't know what else to do."
She arched a brow at him when he spoke of taking advantage of some of the potentials in this city, was he teasing her or hinting at something? If he thought he could get anything out of her rather then bruises, he was sorely mistaken. "So why did you really approach us and don't give me that "watering my wolf" excuse, it's doesn't work with me." He would most likely lie, he was a man after all and really she didn't care why he came over, she just enjoyed seeing if she could fluster him. Her face remained stoic as she waited for his response. "You're meaner then I am today." Nymira said softly in her head, clearly impressed and entertained. "Forms of entertainment perhaps, though what form you are looking for is what I can't help but wonder." She couldn't help but be distrustful, it kept her alive longer being so.

Dimnersti smiled, for so stoic a woman she certain enjoyed talking or perhaps he was mearly getting under her skin. He prefered the second "What sort of enterainment you ask? heh, the sort being provided clearly." He said with a grin towards her and nymiria, who judging by the slight wag of her tail and the relaxed position at the very least was reflecting the young elven womans mood of amusment.
"Heh, and its the clever man who hires another to do the work, I like to think of myself as clever. Heh then again people love to think of themselves as many things, doesn't always make it true does it." he said with an playfully mocking smile. She clearly thought herself as the cool anti social type, not needing the social interaction and disdaining others, but at the same time she was rather obviously enjoying the slow parlay of wits. It was hard to feal chalenged by oneself, and even in a conversation as generaly shallow as this, the simple back and forth was delightfull.
"Hmm, and as unlikely as it is that I mearly came over to 'water your wolf' as you put it, its even more unlikely that you visited our lovely lil pile of rubble simply for the sake of doing so. Then again, nymiria is a lovely creature, and I'v always rather apreciated animals, so perhaps its not all that unlkely that I did come over with that simple intention. But while a follower of carm may show apreciation for one of her creatures, one such as you would not do anything on simple whim. Continue to entertain this conversation for example." he said, his tone thoughtfull, though the words clearly mocking in their way. the chance of his taking a slight thud from the staff was rather high, though that he could live with. Could probly play off it and continue the cheerful direction of the conversation in fact, providing she didn't hit to hard.. And nymiria, didn't seem all that likely to act, was no reason to, and he couldn't help but think she had a sense of amusement about her. And he had to admit, he was rather enjoying himself, the young woman demonstrated some wit. He couldn't help but wonder idly what other skills she hadn't relized she had.

To say Jade knew what to expect from Dim would be false for while he seemed the sort that was harmless, he was mostly unpredicatable as well and Jade had to be on her guard, it wasn't like she was in Natura anymore where she couldn't be attacked and couldn't attack others. Getting drunk wasn't possible in Paxia though because the ale wasn't even ale, it was disgusting swill that wasn't even worthy of the title ale. She arched a brow though she showed no sort of emotion as she considered his words and what they may have meant, she was providing entertainment? "I was not aware I was providing you with any sort of entertainment."
A clever man aye, sounded intruiging enough though Jade wasn't sure if she could really say that about him since she knew nothing about the man other then he liked to hear himself talk, he thought himself to be an interesting person and he enjoyed dodging questions in different sorts of ways. "You claim to be clever yet I have seen none of this cleverness in the moments that we have spoken." It was quite enjoyable to send barbs his way because unlike most she encountered that would have flown into a hissy fit of sorts, he took them and even sent some her way.
Ok, so perhaps watering her wolf wasn't the correct way to put it, but she was too lazy to think something else up. She had asked a perfectly reasonable question and what she got in return surprised her, most would have let her comment on coming to Paxia for pleasure drop, but not Dim. He was right and yet she wasn't about to tell him the real reason she had come to this place, it was none of his business anyway. He claimed first that perhaps he had only come over to admire Nymira though surely he could have done such a thing from a distance, Jade nodded in agreement about Nymira's beauty for it was an obvious thing. A follower of Carmeyla, did that mean he was a druid or that he was a devout follower of the Goddess, she knew others that were very devout followers as well, though Jade herself chose no god above another to worship and follow.
She couldn't hide the frown on her face as Dim continued to speak, yet now he spoke as though he knew her in which he did not, she turned to glare at him, the first real emotion she had shown him since first speaking to him. "Don't speak as though you know me, anything you think about me is most likely wrong anyway, so don't waste your breath or thoughts." Her hand tightened on her staff yet she did not strike it towards him, she was simply trying to relax and here Dim was trying to upset or annoy her, she wasn't sure. Nymira noticed her bondmate's annoyance and offered a slight growl but did nothing else, the heat made her particularly lazy to begin with and Jade could handle herself.
"It was not my choice for you to come over here and make a fool of yourself nor was it I that even started the conversation, I merely am bored and thought you might be entertaining to speak to, not sure yet if I was wrong." She loosed her grip on her staff again and looked back to Dim again, a calm mask of nuetrality was back in place. "You dodged my question, don't think I didn't notice it, but being that it matters little why you chose to come over, I won't repeat it."
"But seeing as how I have kept up the conversation, perhaps it's your turn to find something to speak of, so long as it isn't personal of course." She was tired of thinking of things to ask, let him work his mind a bit.

"All of that presented to us in this life is entertainment miss jade. Its just a matter of recognzing it. For you to say I may be dim, because I very well may not be clever, that is entertainment indeed." he said grinning widely. The unintentional joke of hers amused him quite a bit indeed. To be clever is to not be dim, and he was dim so could he not be clever?
Once again taking a small drag from the drink he'd ordered, even its swill contents eased and seemingly the better for the amuseemnt of the conversation, and that was saying much indeed. This elven lass jade, she was just the perfect 'straight man' humor given in a droll uninterested tone, barely reacting to the amusement of their audiance.
"Heh and you say I dont know you, and ask why I come over in the same breath, does not one answer the other? And of what is there to speak that is not personal? If i know of it it affects my person, if it affects my person is it not then personal?" he continued his widely displayed with the mirth of it. But mock to long and anger was likely to replace amusment so with a slow breath he calmed himself a lil. "But anticks of one who sometimes wished he had taken the jesters trade aside, of what topic would you prefer, religion is a common topic among the peasentry, though perhaps not for one as you. The politics of teh empire is another, but politics are mearly the antics of another sort of jester and I did say we'd set that aside did I not. I'd perhaps regale you with adventures of my youth, tell you of the creature that gave me my hands perhaps. or any of the other aparent scars for that, but if scars were my reward, its probly not a most flattering tale. I could speak of my daughters, though perhaps you'd not wish me to drone on endlessly with a fathers pride. and of course there is always nymiria there, she's likely many interesting things to say." he said with a small nod towards the animal. he didn't mean it literaly of course, as she clearly wasn't a druid, but they two were clearly close and it was like she could read personality and response in the smallest of movements of the creature.
"but it seems in the pondering I'v perhaps shared much. heh, if the drink there serving here loosens my tongue this much, I worry what worries its wagging would bring me if they served a real drink." he said with another small grin. She didn't initialy seem the sort to catch the inuendo at the end, but with the way it slide back and forth in their conversation so far, he had to wonder.
