beginning of Immanis, rainy day.
Delerius Donthol was walking around looking for a dry spot. His green and brown clothes was soon wett all the way trough. "Cursess, this Weather!" he muttered.

[Aradin Lastra]

A green cloaked figure with with hood over his face stepped out of the shadows of a ruined building. A scimitar was sheathed on the mans right hip and on his left was sheathed an ornate dagger. The handle of the dagger was in the form of a black dragon with two small rubies for it's eyes. His body was outlined by the glow of a small fire deep within the ruined building.

This Katta was one of the kinds of people he was targetting. Alone, in need of help. He expected that people like this creature would flock to what the GU had to offer. "Serale. It is a bit wet. You can't like that, it'll ruin your fur. Come inside, enjoy the fire with me, have some food, and tell me about yourself." The Katta might not be able to see it but inside of his hood Aradin was giving one of his charming smiles.

He raised his right arm up to motion for the Katta to go into the building first. He would have to pass through a dark room first to get back to the temporary residence that Aradin had set up for himself. There he would find a fire and a bit of meat and water that he could have.

[Delerius]

Delerius, bowed gently "I accsept that offer, Mr...?" Then he looked at the man with curriosity. His copper mask glazing in the rain.

[Aradin Lastra]

For a moment he considered whether or not to give his real name. Everything he did with this organization had to be quiet. He couldn't have people tracing things back to him. Aradin Lastra had to be a persona that was able to travel freely and interact with the people he needed to be able to talk to while he was doing official business. A fake name it would have to be.

"Mr. Smith, my name is Mr.Smith. Now, in we go and we'll have a little chat." He led the Katta into the building and through the dark room to the fire.

Once they'd sat Aradin gestured to the food and water, "Please, have some. He kept his hood on, his face couldn't be seen on this man, not yet. He would have to prove himself first.

"Tell me, where are you from? Do you have a job, a family? Any friends?" Aradin had no ill intent toward the Katta, he just needed to know how desperate the creature might be.

[Delerius]

"Well thank you mr. smith. I am Delerius Donthol" Delerius entered the place and sat down and got his bowl out, and tasted a bit of water that he pured into his bowl... To do this he had to remove his copper mask, so his strong face would show now. "Strange to find shutch hospitality from a rich man, Mr smith. But then again perhaps youre not?" Deleriel pointed towards "Mr.smiths" dager.

"I am humble folk, an orpahn you migth say. And the road is my friend. Forgive me if im a litle skittisch, life is cruel sometimes. And you Smith?" Deleriels whois was gentle and deep.

[Aradin Lastra]

Aradin smiled and looked down at his dagger, "A gift...a reward for a task well performed." He couldn't hide all the hate from his voice. He had been given it by a Vyssitichi House in Abestat for 'entertaining' them to their satisfaction, or more appropriately to their Matron's satisfaction. As much as he hated them for the humiliation they had put him through he did at least gain some valuable allies. He shrugged, "My wealth, well, it's moderate. More than most and quite a bit less than others."

An orphan, a traveller. Perfect. "Sounds like you might just need a home and a place to go. Something to do. How do you feel about a job? I'm part of an organization interested in the betterment of the world and the selfrelisation of others. We are a secret. Our aims our achieved through espionage and the various other arts of subterfuge." Under his cloak his right hand moved to his dagger. He had already given the man information on the GU, and though it wasn't the name itself, it waas still information. Once you knew you either had to join or die. It was the rule.

[Delerius]

Deleriel was eating by now, Gredily but still mannered. As he carefuly heard what the man had to say. There was no taste of poison, Nothing seemed wrong with the food so the offer had to be genuine.

"I hawe a home in Primus Gaudeo, but im not home mutch."

Deleriel thougth ower the mans offer, and the words "smith" chose. It was clewer choosing, and now he knew the motive of the free meal too. A recruiter he was, perhaps a individual with good contacts. Exiting it was indeed. He smiled.

"I can see you are a serius man Mr,Smith. Not to be taken ligthly indeed, So neither should your offer be. I accsept this offer, I hawe nothing better to do. Hwo knows, it migth be the path i been looking for."

Delerius slowly rised his bowl, "A toast for this." His hidden dagger in the sleeve of his arm migth be clear as day to those hwom were watchfull.

[Aradin Lastra]

Aradin nodded his head. This was good news. Now as to whether or not the Katta could actually complete the necessary task. Aradin put his dagger away, there was no need for it anymore. As for Delerius' dagger, he wasn't concerned in the least. There was a fire between himself and the Katta and if things need be Lorre would save Aradin.

"Good, good. As for the task I want you to complete...I need you to go to Nexus Prime and try to find out whatever you can about a group called the House of Whispers. Find out their numbers, their operations, who's at the head of the organization and where they usually are. Infiltrate the ranks of the group if you can. You need not discover all of this information but at least find out something about them. When you get a satisfactory amount of information you will find me here for the rest of this month, for Ponutis I'll be in Vortex and after that you can find me in Abestat. Don't worry about where I'll be, I'll find you.

Aradin took five hundred crowns out from inside of his cloak and handed it over to Delerius. "That is for any expenses you might incur during your mission. When you complete it and report back to me, with documents if possible, you'll get another five hundred crowns for your troubles. If you get quite a bit more information than I expected or you get something very valuable then I might give you a little bonus."

There was one more thing that Delerius should know, and it was very important to the organization. "While you will be paid for any special missions like this and while you will be provided with free training if you wish it, which for now is limited to the scimitar, stealth, and longbow, and while we will protect you and help you get into the positions that you want to there is still something that you must give back. Our funds don't create themselves. Any money you earn, outside of our coffers, you must give ten percent of it to the organization. If you contribute at least ten thousand crowns an era you will be exempt from this for that era. Can you accept that? It is not an extravagent requirement in our opinion."

If Delerius found that acceptable 'Mr.Smith' would offer his hand to be shook and say, "Welcome to the Guild Underground. Your code name is..." Aradin looked at the Katta's mask, "Copper. Do not tell anyone about the GU. If you do they either join or die. That is one of the cardinal laws of our organization. We must remain a secret. You are an opperative in this orgranization now and are to report only to myself or a provincial controller if I say you can. Understood?"

[Delerius]

Delerius finished his bowl of water, durig doing that he thougth ower the offer and the comitment.

He put his bowl down "This i can accept. I am your humle servant."
When Mr.Smith offerd his hand Delerius tok it firmly.

Unsertain he asked "Im not eccsesivly trained in either of your offering talents, what talents do you forsee that i need for this... quest?"

Delerius put his mask back on. Its seemed to hawe gotten a new meaning.

[Aradin Lastra]

Aradin shrugged. "You don't necessarily need any of those skills to complete the task I've set before you. All anyone ever needs to achieve anything is determination and some smarts. If you feel it is absolutely necessary then we can train you in stealth, but that is up to you. Your race is naturally stealthy, and who knows, maybe as a result of this mission you'll pick up the basics of stealth."

Aradin himself had gotten marginally more stealthy from his experience with th Vysstichi who had once kidnapped him in Abestat. This man could save time if he gained his stealth abilities through experience and not training.

OOC: If you want basic stealth I can ask Striker to set that up for you, but you can always go to Nexus and whoever mods you doing the quest you can request that it be considered a level up thread in which you pick up the basics of stealth. Your choice. Of course the other two skills are always available too.

Delerius felt this strange urge to start the jobb, still thinking. Was he ready? He ashured himself that if he needed help of kind he would Be able to call for it.
"Then I will go to it tomorrow, i need to gather my strength. Annything you forsee would be a problem or a threat? At least annything else i need to be mindfull of?"
His eyes gleamed in the ligth of the fire, and he wanted to squeese this employer for annything he knew on the House of Whispers and teh dangers that migth be. even a heads up might be helpfull.

[Aradin Lastra]

"Yes, it is very, very important that you not let anyone know that you're a member of the GU. The House of Whispers is our archnemesis. They are our greatest enemies. They are also the most dangerous, they are a renegade faction of former Imperial Intelligence. They don't do good work, and they don't operate in the best interests of anybody but themselves."

It was all that he could offer Delerius. The total lack of information was precisely why 'Copper' was being sent on the mission. He left the Katta alone for the most part, eating some of the meat that he had and drinking a bit of water. Once the Katta went to sleep Aradin would slip off to another building.

As the sound of the tapping Rain dozed Deleriel into sleep, he thougth of his "father", and how they met their end. Their teachings and how much they gave him. His tail had some twichess, as if warning to those hwoo would wake the ligth sleeper. Tomorow the road to destiny awated.
