"The sound of one saber rattling. . ." (Open)

OOC: Last cycle of Immanis/ Beginning of Ponutis (If you want to join but need the timestamp adjusted, PM me and let me know.) This is for all military people, players and NPCs, and those who are interested in such matters, such as Duncan.

IC:
Roland took Duncan's advice and decided he needed to meet with all the military people still extant in Paxia. Falcon Legion, Crimson Tigers, Sapphire Guard, West Wardens, it didn't matter: all were requested to come and attend. Guards, soldiers, mercenarys and soldiers-of-fortune: all were invited if they were in or near Paxia this season. Militia representatives from Vortex, Nexus Prime, Evile and Mileswick were sent invitations. Provincial Commanders were asked to come or send representatives. Everyone down to Jasper the gate-guard was sent a gold-colored invitation requesting their appearance.

Roland chose the Falcon Legion fortress as the site of the meeting, and before he sent out word to anyone else, spent the better part of a cycle making the necessary arrangements, and agreeing to any changes of venue that security might require.

He waited for Jasper's day off, and asked him to accompany him to Nexus Prime, where they went to Toruko's shoppe and got the man a fresh outfit.

Roland also posted local flyers:

[quote]
"In the first cycle of Ponitus, a meeting will be held at the Falcon Legion headquarters. This meeting is of the most paramount importance, as it concerns the security of Paxia itself. Any former or current military personnel are welcome to attend. Space will also be provided for those interested in enlisting, impressment and commissions."

Word was gotten out-- and it can be presumed that if anyone can get the word out about something, it is Roland Moonstar-- that this was not going to be a town-hall sort of round-robin meeting. What Roland wanted was a head-count, He wanted able bodies, those ready to get going, those willing to get along should a merger of some forces be necessary.

Those who wished to meet with the Lord Protector privately before the meeting to voice any questions or concerns were given leave and liberty to do so, for at the meeting there was to be no arguing over fiefdoms, no blame over who did what in the past, no petty squabbles or person feuds, no arguing over anything. Those who loved Paxia were asked to look upwards and outwards, towards the common good. Those who cared only for their own self-interests would find everyone from Duncan Sythe to a crazed Lutran sicced on them, and loyal underlings would be swifly promoted to their spots.

The complete and mysterious absence from the scene by the provost-- a man who often voiced his displeasure of the Lord Protector-- was sent as a warning to all and sundry to play nice, play fair, or play in some other province. This was about rebuilding and security, and it was a matter of life and death. Gorgon and Atlus were told to do whatever was necessary to bullies in the area so that all understood that Roland meant this literally: no one else was getting a warning. A Justicar Emeritus knew the exact extent of what he could do as Lord Protector, and he was ready to do it.

Too many lives were lost, and too much was as stake.

* * * * *

Still, Roland understood he needed loyalty without resentment, cooperation without hidden anger. He was ready to give away awards, medals, ceremonies, promotions, budgetary increases-- he made it clear to all that he would put guns over butter, would budget for swords while leaving people to fish 3 times a day-- and whatever it took. Parades, celebrations, his own time spent listening to discussions of why so-and-so deserved a statue, or why this fellow was unappreciated and would have been a full-bird colonel if not for some petty fool in Alleria Prime: he was ready to pay the price and do whatever was necessary to get attention and cooperation. A few pork barrel contracts from the City of Paxia, a few philanthropic donations from House Moonstar there: this was how Roland spent the remaining days of Immanis.

He set up an office in the Falcon Legion (if they had the room for Alexis, they had the room for him) and instructed anyone who had personal concerns, questions or comments, to do so before the meeting. He wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to speak one-on-one, and he wanted to resolve any issues amicably before it ever came down to looking for Gorgon.

OOC: If any PCs or nPCs wish to visit Roland before the meeting, go ahead and do so here. If no one posts by Labor Day weekend, we'll move this along. But this way the thread is set up, to allow people to adjust their FT and allow time for it, to post at the gates of Paxia if necessary.

“Mister Moonstar.”

Came the words, in the gravelly, cultured tones of Kyle Linvail. For two had come in place of the one who had visited Roland's offices and had most interesting discussions. Now the cloaked and coat clad Linvail who looked like a smarter, older Duncan Sythe with proper gloves, opened the door with a far better hat and entered ahead of his employer.

Graying hair and blue eyes were standard for the bearded and mustached Linvail as he removed his hat, holding it by the top and held it against his side, stepping away to let Duncan Sythe arrive in what amounted to his 'military' dress for sake of proving a point. Whilst Linvail wore waistcoat and tunic Duncan Sythe was wearing a former Imperial Guard gray coat with a high collar devoid of rank beneath a metal breastplate that was definitely not made of any kind of 'normal' metal. The Mithril alloy of the thing was a result of some time spent with a load of very mad monks – in Duncan's estimation anyway – and acquired under force of surviving several assassination attempts, an insane Mystic and an idiotic but highly proficient swordsman who Duncan had to admit had been far better than him.

With Elven steel greaves and bracers topping the armoured image off though the man walking in behind Linvail looked very unlike the Duncan Sythe that had walked into Roland's office, a sword belted to his left hip in an unusual scaled sheath and a dagger on his opposite hip.

“Appearances are all as I'm sure you are aware.”

Linvail added as Duncan made his way in and nodded his acknowledgment, shifting a brown homespun cloak back over his shoulder.

“My employer thus decided he'd cut more ice dressed the part than waving credentials. You may feel free to introduce him as a former Imperial Officer rather than the Imperial Mage...might help avoid a big shout of 'what the Aeternia does he know about swords'.”

Kyle regarded with a look back at Duncan, who simply shrugged and waved the illusionary Linvail off with a half-gloved hand. Kyle smiled and fell silent.

“Is there anything we should know before this begins?”

Duncan meanwhile asked, turning his darker blue eyes on the Lord Protector, right hand at his side as his left nursed the sword hilt beneath the cloak.

Ring Weighing Anchor.

They had been here since the 21st of Cryxatum, just across the bay, really, having sailed there from the harbors of Archadoon, the sights and sounds of the fair, isolated Eunesias, still trailing in their wake.

They had been here, assisting elements of the Dragonhead Navy in securing the seafront and ensuring no hostile vessel left Paxian waters.

They had been here, assisting the people of Paxia in rebuilding the city, providing perimeter security, and acting as the nonexistent constabulary as they were, the sole armed, uniformed, and disciplined unit in the city, and now, as they watched, they waited, waiting for orders that would make matters certain.

Yet as the cycles passed, only one certainty was made clear: time was a very ethereal being, one that stretched, and stretched, and stretched, and could go on forever, and ever.

For the meantime, the Marines could stand watch, while sailors dragged rocks. Those who were otherwise inclined would often stand watch in place of the marines, or join one of the five in the harbor to do short patrols to keep off the odd pirate--not that there were any in the meantime, what with the Imperial Shipyards just across the bay. Life in the city of peace was just that. Peaceful, but the rankling of many lay just beneath the surface.

This much was proven recently when a man stood up, and damn near got himself arrested for his trouble. A familiar face, his was, with oratory so convincing, language so heartfelt, words so inflammatory that it was almost impossible to ignore the fellow.

This man Roland seemed to be laying it on a bit thick. Quite the orator, he knew how to grab the crowd's attention, simply by giving it what it wanted; so good was he, he could sell an Arakmatian sand by the Imperial measure. Still, by the crowd's reactions, everyone did hate the heavyhanded Elsdragon. Perhaps reassigning the Provost to Terramarique or Narim would be best for now. Or something creative, like making him a ratcatcher somewhere.

Thus as the Admiral afloat had ordered, he was not to be touched...

...and the ominous piece of parchment that had the seal of the Ministry and the two most dangerous pair of words for any civilian was quite literally shelved, for the meantime.

And this was why a marine and an officer of the classis found themselves accompanying two each of their number, making a quaint party of six, making headway from their temporary offices in a corner of the ruined citadel to the rooms where the meet was to take place. On their arrival, the pair of sailors and marines took station outside, just to ensure order and to secure the area.

The seventh arrived a few minutes later, cap under his arm, face, straight, eyes stern. Used to command, he most certainly was, and the rank insignia on his collar showed him to be a Zeton Navarch.

"Zeton Navarch Darymple Hewitt, Senior Naval Officer Commanding Imperial Classis forces, Paxia. With me are Trieririus Heyward, and Cencoris Beams."

Striker is an upstanding Citizen
Word had spread of Lord Protector’s aspirations to rebuild the Falcon Legion into a semblance of its former self -and oftentimes by word of mouth of Roland himself. Regardless of his methods, many had rallied to the quasi-thane’s summoning at the makeshift Falcon Legion Headquarters.

The remnants of the once-prominent Falcon Legion, roughly a hundred in number, filed into the fortress in neatly formed queues. Their black and violet capes streamed elegantly behind them as they strode in formation, and the renowned hilts of their wickedly curved elfin-styled swords could be seen on each of their hips as they continued to fill the courtyard of the defensive facility. Unlike previous times, though, there were many amongst the organized crowd, battle-weary and laden, who assembled in preparation of the mass meeting.

All of them had seen their share of warfare in these hard times, and not one of them was without blemish or nick upon their blades. The soldiers of the Falcon Legion had stepped up to the trials faced by the orcish incursion and as a result they had sacrificed more than they had ever expected. In the end, though, Paxia had nevertheless been saved.

Lieutenant Jagan, the ‘Lion of Paxia’, as the populace had called him, assumed a position at the forefront of his disciplined men. His tousled white hair contrasted greatly against the tanned hue of his rugged face, but the sharpness of his dark eyes dispelled any suspicions that the old warrior had lost his wits and awareness through the tests of time. He was an inch or so above six feet, and his broad shoulders seemed to carry the weight and confidence of the entire Legion. And there could be no mistaking the gapes of respect and reverence that each of his soldiers imparted to him as he strode past their greatly diminished ranks.

The crowd, numbering no more than a hundred, parted to allow passage of the city’s prominent defenders. After the Falcons had taken their positions along the walls of the area, the interested gatherers closed the hole and rejoined together as they awaited the arrival of the Lord Protector. The group was comprised of a number of eager civilians ranging from halflings to even a few dracons. For the most part the congregation consisted of middle-aged humans, but there were notable sightings of elfish faces in the crowd as well.

It seemed that the people were quite eager and interested this brightening.

Gena’ra, the senior-aedile of Paxia, arrived a short time later. Weaving through the crowd, the noble lionoid’s robe swirled haphazardly around him as he joined Roland inside the compound. Offering a warm smile to the Lord Protector and a curious nod to the other human, Gena’ra sighed deeply and glanced to the assembly outside. “They are waiting for you, Mister Moonstar.” Baring a smile, Gena’ra’s paws appeared from beneath his cloak as he continued to assess the group. “Cutthroats…mercenaries…and the young disillusioned. I pray that you are right in believing that we can make a formidable army of them…

Grishin is an upstanding Citizen
Being the Senior Assistant Prefect of Paxia, and presumably the future Prefect, Grishin had believed it important to be involved in some way in any military action that was to take place within his legal jurisdiction. It was, after all, his responsibility to make sure that the law was upheld in Paxia once again. Beyond that, he had at one point been a rather willing mercenary, and in some respects still was. Roland had wanted all the mercenaries he could find to come. Grishin supposed, however, that being an agent of law enforcement in Paxia he didn't really have the right to seek hire for special missions in the devastated city, it was simply his duty to do whatever was necessary for the safety of the citizens within the bounds of the city limits.

He moved to the front of the group of Dracons that had assembled, not to presume leadership, but simply to be with his own kind. It was a rare treat for him.

Grishin leaned on his battle axe as he waited for the Lord Protector to give his speech. He'd come wearing his studded leather armour and his shortsword and parrying dagger around his waist and his longbow on his back with a quiver full of arrows. He supposed that if life had have been a bit different for him a few eras ago he might be apart of the Falcon Legion even now. He could have been, couldn't he? One of his kind had once been a great hero in Paxia, a blue Dracon who had saved a Thane.

He needed to be a hero for his people just like she had. But more importantly than that, just like all those who had joined together that brightening, he needed to be a hero for the people of Paxia first and foremost.

Josephine Wis is unknown and forgotten
Josephine stood at the entrance to what was the Falcon Legion's Headquarters. It looked better in the past, like everything in this city. She shock her head and wandered if Paxia will ever be the same as it was before. The people who survived will always bear the marks of what had happened, that much she knew well. The lost of everything that a man had was a hard blow, especially when it really meant everything. Not just gold and jeweleries, but a house, a family, friends... All was lost to the poor people.

The worse was that nothing will bring it back...

Josephine glanced around her as she walked to the building. If there was a guard, she showed him her visa "Josephine Wis, " and added, stating the obvious "from the West Wardens...". It was obvious who she was by her clothes. The woolen brown trousers and shirt were the basic simple clothes every West Wardens wore, but the green and white Cloak of the force really singled them apart.

Josephine was a woman who got many stares when she walked in a room. It was a fact of life for her and it didn't bother her in the least. Her lean lithe body moved energetically as she entered the room, her dark eyes scanning the place.

Roland nodded at Josephine. "Good. I am glad the West Wardens have arrived. We have representatives from the Crimson Tigers, and I hope the Sapphire Guard is just running late."

He turned to Duncan and Kyle. "Thank you for coming, Councilman Sythe. I don't believe there's anything preliminary to discuss before we begin. I have been very busy on Paxia's behalf, here and in various other cities, setting up not just the trade route but ensuring we have the men, crowns, and resources to revitalize and rebuild the Falcon Legion.

I was hoping to have more completed before today, but we have enough to start. Unlike the meeting of the Legion of Justice you once witnessed in Diana, things will be conducted much differently today. Prefect Lotholt and Constable Gorgon will see to that."
The otter was known, but Roland spent a moment introducing the giant to anyone who did not know him. He did not introduce the quartet of muscular Dorin wearing the colors of Paxia that ringed that stage: their existence needed no explanation.

Roland spent a moment introducing Grishin, Josephine, Adelyn and everyone else who was there, allowing those who desired to do so to stand up and introduce themselves.
He glanced over at Beams and his friends. "Thank you for coming on such short notice. I very much appreciate it. I invited you here in the spirit of keeping you abreast as to what the city of Paxia is up to, so far as local defenses. I hope that you see I intend coordination and cooperation between the Falcon Legion and the Imperials."

He spoke a few words to Grishin and Josephine and Looie and Gorgon, then went over to confer with Lt. Jagan. "Most importantly of all, thank you for coming. I hope Jasper, Digne and the other veterans know how much Paxia appreciates them."

He shrugged, and gave an affable smile. "If they don't, they will be pleasantly surprised today."

* * * *

As usual with this sort of 'hurry up and wait' affair, the bantering and organizing took the better chunk of a candlemark. So far, this was not so different from the Legion meeting at all.

But now things diverged.

After observing the various military and civilian protocls necessary to make sure everyone felt accomodated and respected, and that no feathers were ruffled, Roland instructed everyone to take their seats.

Then he went to the podium. He did not giva an introductory speech, full of self-deprecating jokes and some of the recent accomplishments of House Moonstar and Paxia. He did not list his titles, or bore anyone with anecdotes from the past. Beyond the Crimson Sigil, he wore no jewelry or had anything ostentatious on him: just his usual tailored suit. "Okay, now we begin. Thank you all for coming. Today we have only one point of order: the Falcon Legion. Some of you have served. Some of you wish to serve. But you are all here because you desire to see what happened to Paxia in the past never happen again."

The air around Roland crackled in a way that had nothing to do with the Arcane. "It won't. I assure you all of that." He looked from face to face. "Paxia fell because it lacked faith. A momentary lapse, could have happened anywhere. I don't judge. But I bring faith. So long as Captain Jagan and I are here, the Falcon Legion will endure. Will grow. And Paxia will become impregnable."

Borrowing the gavel from Looie, Roland banged it down on the podium stand. "This concludes the lecture portion of today meeting.

Now down to business."

Roland appointed Duncan honorary figurehead of the Falcon Legion Mage Corps. The world needed a Sythe with his own private army, after all. He appointed Grishin head of the Falcon Legion Air Corps. Beams was given an honorary title in the Falcon Legion Marines. Josephine was put in charge of coordinating between the Falcon Legion Army and the West Wardens. Hewitt was given an honorary commission in the Dragonheads. As hinted above, he appointed Jagan as Captain.

Roland then spent a few minutes respectfully leading off a list of names, asking everyone for a moment of silence. Then he read another list of names, beginning with Jasper, and sending them up one by one to where the dimunitive Prefect sat, behind what was clearly a recruiting desk.

Z'kron is an upstanding Citizen
Standing by quietly with his aide, Z'kron watched the proceedings with interest. Of late he had rather taken the rebuilding of Paxia to be a pet project; something to invest his personal funds and his time in even above what his duties entailed.
One hand tapped softly at his belt as he watched the positions being distributed out. He knew surprisingly little about the Falcon Legion as it stood nowadays, despite his brief term of service in it many years ago. He doubted he would be remembered though- he had worn a different face back then.
Councilman Sythe? The druid wondered, noting the man also wore a new face. Not a dracon then. Curiouser and curiouser. Stroking his chin, the druid dropped deeper into thought, his plant-mind feeling the warmth of the sun spreading through his body while his humanoid side concentrated on more immediately relevant things.

Grishin is an upstanding Citizen
Air corps? What in the name of Diana was that? He would have to ask Roland all about it later. At the moment he wasn't sure just what to think of it. Did he choose Grishin because he wanted him to recruit Dracons that could fly? Did he even know that Grishin couldn't personally fly, that Dracons in general could only shapeshift or fly? If there was something else behind it then Grishin, being the head of the Falcon Legion Air Corps would certainly like to know about it. That and he wouldn't mind a uniform.

Beyond that Grishin had to tell Roland that his ultimate decsion had been to advance his career in the Prefecture. Besides it made an odd environment with Grishin only being the Senior Assistant Prefect and Looie being the Prefect but Grishin having authority over Looie as per Roland's stipulations when they had met to in Roland's office.

Everything aside, the hulking Dracon was beyond pleased to see that Paxia would be guided by such a strong hand and would develop into a force to be reckoned with. When Roland Moonstar was done Paxia would be safe forever. The man was a hero. Were this a crowd on the street and not a meeting Grishin would have started a chant of the mans name. He was what Paxia had always needed.

He considered trying to recruit the Dracons behind him but decided to do that later. He wanted to talk to Roland now, and figure out just what in Diana's name he commanded as the head of the Air Corps.

Grishin made his way toward Roland, showing his Senior Assistant Prefects badge to any who tried to stop him on the way. When he got close to Roland he leaned in a bit and said, "If at some point you wouldn't mind telling me what you've just made me the commander of that'd be great. Also, I thought I'd let you know that I've decided that I can serve best as the Prefect and not the Constable." If asked to wait until another time to discuss the issues Grishin had no problem and would do as asked by the Lord Protector.

Roland nodded. "All right. Though we do need a constable. Or at least someone to coordinate the guards, gatehouse and so forth. Is there anyone you'd recommend for that?"

As to the Air Corps, he raised an eyebrow. "Ah. That's right. You've been out of the province. Go find Halfpint, and meet me at the tower in Mileswick in a few days. The title is just honorary at this point, of course, but we have all these rusting airships sitting around everywhere. We just need to figure out a new propulsion system.
Perhaps we can't. But we must at least try. It's worth looking into."

Keldon had entered the meeting previously alone at that aswel. His presence here for a formal if not official as he was invited. Sitting near Z'kron and his staff he wanted for a question to catch his attention. One already had but for now he held his tounge.

It was a fools errand to think the city had fallen because the people had no faith, the Provost was well aware many had faith in there gods. It was a simple factor of mathematics why the city fell, overwhelming force, the fact the city was laid out openly, only the Fortress stood in there way after a very short time and that fell after awhile aswel. Gods had little to do with the equation, it was simply poor planning. Planning that would be soon corrected.

However Keldon scanned the room for the Senior Adile the one who truly had the real authority in the city even over Roland. Legally Roland had no power to appoint anyone to any senior position, essentially it was illegal for him to do so unless the acting thane, approved of such things. It reminded him of time in Primus Gaudeo how he could do so little without the approval of the Governor. However the man would likely allow Roland to do so, although Keldon was becoming rather curious about Rolands ability to violate the law and think he could get away with it.

Airships? By Diana, he'd never heard of such a thing before. Rest assured though, he was interested in commanding them. It was a huge step forward for his people. He didn't know of a single instance outside of the armies of his own race that one of his kind had held a military command. Besides that, Grishin had never been shy of battle. He revelled in it. Between law, war, and business there wasn't much else that his mind was devoted to.

As for who would be the Constable, Grishin was far from knowing any good candidates. He had thus far concerned himself sorting out the documentation and legal matters for the Prefecture. He hadn't even had to actually arrest anybody yet. He jerked a clawed thumb over in Gorgon's direction, "What's wrong with the Giant? He can haul somebody in sure as anyone else can. I'm afraid most of the people I'd suggest for the job are dead now. If I run into anyone who I think will be better suited for the position than Gorgon I'll let you know."

Normally he'd have left this next bit be but since he had been reading up on the Articles of Imperium he felt that he ought to let Roland know, "By the way, as things technically go the Falcon Legion constitutes a city militia under Imperial Law. Since they're not a mercenary force and they're not Imperial Legion or provincial militia they legally fall under the command of whoever is Constable of Paxia. So you might just want to think about that before you assign Gorgon over here officially as permanent Constable." Grishin paused for a moment, "This might seem a bit far fetched to you, but why not make Captain Jagan the Constable? That way the man you want heading the Falcon Legion is still legally doing just that? Whatever you decide, I'll meet you and Halfpint at the tower in Mileswick in a few brightenings."

With that Grishin moved off back into the crowd, content to listen to any other speaches that Roland might give.

Keldon wondered why in the name of the gods Roland was going to start having the city put funds into research and development of an air military. when the city desperately needed to have ground forces and defenses before going onto large extravagant projects. However if the city officials decided to go along with it that was there funds they were spending, and the people they were to answer to.

Smiling softly to himself he opened his mouth to speak, "Close good sir, the Constabulary and the Falcon Legion where, separate entity's under there own command. The Constables where the local guard, charged with gate duty and the investigation of crime within the city. The Falcon Legion was the cities defense, those who patrolled the lands around the city." He said looking to Roland and those who where in the room. "However given the current status of the city it would make little sense to have two organizations doing the same task, the Falcon Legion should intern serve as the guard. If Colonel Eisenhowl may the gods guide him, trusted Captain Jagan as an officer within his forces, or trusted those before him to make her such an officer then she is likely capable of leading the defense of the cities local protection." he said with a brief nod, in his mind he was thinking there would be little point draining the coffers of the city on two people with separate pay and separate pay for all those in different groups that vary from rank to rank and have it all under a single organization it would save the city money that they could use elsewhere. Although weather others saw it that way would be different.

Josephine Wis is unknown and forgotten
Josephine really hoped that she wasn't the only one from the West Wardens at the meeting. After all, she was still a new recruit and haven't started her training yet, thou rumors had been around the barracks that it will start soon.

She nodded her head toward Roland as he welcomed her "It is a pleasure and an honor to be here, Thane Moonstar..." she answered respectfully, wandering if anyone except Roland know her family relationship to him. After all, she usually introduced herself as Wis and not Moonstar, taking her dead husband last name as a fateful and loving widow should do. No need to raise suspicions as to actually nature and circumstances of her marriage and his death. No one will ever know how much she hated Armond...

Big dark eyes scanned the people Roland mentioned Councilman Sythe... Looks old with his grey hair but has smart eyes. I wander if he is a former Soldier... thought Josephine as she looked at the Imperial Guard gray coat that Duncan Sythe was wearing, noticing the luck of rank.

She moved her eyes to Prefect Lotholt and Constable Gorgon, then to Grishin (A Senior Assistant Prefect, ha? Looks more like a rogue worrier with this battle axe and shortsword...) and Adelyn, who she, of course knew very well. Nodding her head in acknowledgment as Roland introduced her, she wandered why she felt so nervous in the company of those people. It wasn't like her to feel that way...

Then Roland started his speech. He was always good with words and this time was no different. Josephine kept her face calm, but when he said "because you desire to see what happened to Paxia in the past never happen again" she put on her face a grave expression, like it was expected from a someone who been living in Paxia during the attack.

Roland then started appointing people all around her: that old smart man who was probably an ex-soldier, was appointed an honorary figurehead of the Falcon Legion Mage Corps. Then he is a mage and not a worrier... thought the woman as she narrowed her eyes. Josephine didn't trust Mages and was a little scared of them. Especially she was afraid of Mysticans and of their unnatural ability to read minds. Josephine had secrets which she was determent to protect, at all costs... I really hope that this Sythe fellow isn't a mystican. she thought.

The Senior Assistant Prefect was appointed the head of the Falcon Legion Air Corps. Josephine frown as she tried to remember if the Falcon Legion had an air force, but couldn't. Well, if the Falcon Legion hasn't got one now, it will have it soon... she thought dryly and then was shocked to here her name mentioned. She was going to be put in charge of the coordinating between the Falcon Legion Army and the West Wardens. It was a surprise. Not that Josephine minded, but she hoped that her superiors wouldn't have a problem with that. Of course, it also meant that, after she'll finish her training, she'll probably be moved with a few other West Wardens to Paxia, to be close to the Falcon Legion.

The Senior Assistant Prefect, what was his name? Oh, yes, Grishin. He went to Roland and they started to talk quietly between themselves.

Josephine lost interest and started to look around her again, when a tall elf she'd not seen before, started to speak. When Keldon started to explain the difference militia forces in Paxia, Josephine listed with interest.
