Towards the End of Immanis, an invitation came from the Lord Protector to the Imperial Forces, as per the regulations of Article 107, that a senior representative and/or his senior staff come to the meeting that was going to be held the first cycle of Ponutis.
The meeting itself would be held in the Falcon Legion headquarters, so obviously logistics would not be an issue as far as figuring out where to go. Roland had attempted not to forget anyone, so there were invitations going up the line all the way to Alexis. Riconus, Teig, Keldon, Sheng, Alexis, Arkahn... invitations were written, and given to the local commander here, to forward up the chain of command at his discretion. Roland under chain-of-command, and did not want to step on the toes of anyone locally, but he still had to abide by Article 107 and make sure that it was logged in the Aedile's office that anyone who was required to have an invitation would get one. Should a certain lieutenant be mad at a certain ensign, or a petty officer be having a squabble with a lance corporal... well, that was for them to sort out and decide who was coming and who wasn't.
Roland also asked for a list of names of those who deserved posthumous recognition in defending Paxia, and for those wounded in battle. Perhaps the effort had not gone as planned, perhaps the city was a bit more full of rubble and ruin than Roland would have liked, but effort had been made. Lives had been lost. And so, regardless of how else he ended getting along with the Imperials, he wanted to make sure they understood that appreciation would be given, gallantry would have recognition rewarded.
