Observing the Business
Second Cycle of Spring in Era XIV
Theying was somewhat shell shocked by the thing around him. He wasn't comfortable with all the destruction that remained, but there had clearly been a closing of wounds of sorts. It wasn't much, but it was a start, and it was something that Theying could work with.
Theying was striding through the various starts and fits of commerce, looking for another herbalist plying their wares. Even the simple stuff would be an excellent salve for he city. There was still a big need, and it'd create jobs. If he could get cheap land then he could create a lot of jobs. If only there was a good permanent market, from such opportunities empires are born. Now, if only he could find a way in.

Fourteenth Brightening of the Second Cycle in the Month of Immanis in the Season Spring; Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIII
Post Fractum. The First Era of the Regency of Milo L'Evienne
Keldon was walking through part of the city with some solders taking notes. He was standing outside the ruined walls of the Rainbow Citadel at the time instructing what he wanted built in specific locations. He had perhaps a small handful of engineers walking around with him looking around the somewhat now organized piles of rubble he sighs. There was alot of work ahead of him, he raised his head to see Theying and just gave a small nod of the head as if he was just saying good brightening, "Serale," he said to Theying then turned his gaze towards one of the engineers.

"Good Brightening to you as well," Theying replied reflexively. A clot of men with a martial air about them were loitering about, obviously planning something big. The master herbalist had yet to find another herbalist around yet, and that was both a problem and an opportunity. He could move in, and train a couple people to run it. Addtionally, soldiers are a good sign. They do consume a good deal of the simpler herbal products.
"Oh, excuse me sir," the master herbalist stated again. "Would you happen to know exactly where someone acquires rights to build a business?" The lack of infrastructure was one that Theying never had to deal with before, normally there was a clearly defined place to do transactions like this, but everything was so mixed up here.

Roland was strolling through Paxia when he noticed Theying. He immediately made his way over to him, grateful to see a familiar face. "Theying the Herbalist! How are you? It has been at least a pattern since I last saw you in Jaedaxia!"
As it had been over an era, he introduced himself again in case the other man had forgotten him. "I am Roland Moonstar. I met you a few times in Jaedaxia when I was Prefect there. Myself, I especially remember the time I introduced you to my Deputy Soleil." He offered his hand in a handshake.
"That was some time ago. I rose from Prefect to become Justicar and then I was Lt. Governor of Carmelyn Province. But Arium is the land of my birth, and I have come here to help deal with the tragedy. I am very grateful to have found you, because a man like you is especially needed."

Theying only remembered this Moonstar fellow. It had been quite some time ago and a great many things had happened in the man time. The master herbalist never really knew him all that well to begin with, in any event.
"Oh," he started somewhat uncertainly, not exactly having time to think things through. "I was wondering if you knew who I am supposed to talk to about opening a shop here. It would help me, and really help the town."

Roland nodded. "That would be the Aedile's. The Aedile is the person you always see when in regards to real estate."
Roland gave Theying directions to the Aedile's.
"I am in the middle of something and have to run, but here is my card. Come see me as time permits, I have need of a herbalist."
On the card were directions to where Roland was staying in Paxia.
He waved at Keldon and Theying, and went on his way.

"I know that the Aedile is in charge of real estate," an exacerbated Theying replied. "I just can't FIND anything in all the rubble on my own. Things aren't where they were, and I was never familiar with the jigsaw puzzle when everything was in place."
He was a tad frustrated, and considered that Aedile comment to be a jibe. He was never that good at tone of voice. But, he took the card. Theying understood business.
