~*| The Laoshan Falls |*~ Description: The Laoshan Falls is a very sheltered ancient place popular with the faefolk and nature loving citizens of Zinn'Sunn. All the fae knew where it is. Sometimes they called it the Secret Emerald Sea, for all that it is neither salt nor vast. Instead, it is simply a lovely plunge pool and waterfall trailing off the edge of the Forest of Dreams. Some claim that Laoshan Falls might have its nickname because of the variety of freshwater pearls that are found within the depths of the muscles that are living buried in the soft mud at the bottom of the pool. Regardless of the truth, this 'fairyland' is home to water nymphs, sprite, will-o-whisps, gnomes, and dryads aplenty. Unicorns often drink from its fresh clean water, while dragonflies flit about carrying messages to and from the lands beyond Telath. Even stranger stories say that its a portal to the plane of nature, though not much credit is given this. What Zinn'Sunnese use The Laoshan Falls for is far more innocent. They come to swim in the waters during the summer, picnic on the shore with their loved ones, and get out of the city for a time. Almost no one who visits is harassed by the fae that inhabit the area, though each and every visitor indeed is scrutinized or hostile intentions. The faefolk are very protective of their homes. In the spring weddings often happen here, with the waterfall a backdrop to the happy couples exchange of vows. Priests of Torek often bring babies here for their first dedication. The unlimited usage of the area lends itself to frequent visitors seeking escape and solitude. Regardless, The Laoshan Falls are spectacular, deep, and house a big enough pool that half of Zinn'Sunn can easily frolic in its waters in the striking beautiful emerald depths.
