Waking Up Confused (Gauls)
The Month of Kalendryas, Winter, Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XV Post Fractum
Before the light it was simply pain. His feet ached, his hands felt swollen, the blood seemed to merely seep through his veins at a snail's pace. But most overwhelming was the sharp pain in his head. In rather than on. The air was cool and an easy current smoothly rolled across his brownish green skin. His rough and scarred skin had endured much through the eras, but right now, Rushnak felt immobile. He felt heavy- laden to the point which what little energy remained in his body could not come close to lifting himself off of... what?
His back was resting on a rough surface. Only slightly cooler than the air surrounding him, the surface did not prick him but merely scraped against him like sandpaper. Perhaps the orc was lying on a stone table. Perhaps on the floor of a building which actually had a solid foundation other than dirt. At least it wasn't a tent the orc could assume.
As senses came flooding back to him, Rushnak could still not open his eyes. Nor could he determine what had happened or, perhaps more importantly, when it had happened. Time was a sense he had not gained and most likely would not be able to realize until he moved and spoke with somebody. It felt as if this could not be happening to him- but it had. What occurred he could not determine, but he assumed it was not the most pleasant thing in the world. Only time would reveal these secrets- time which Rushnak may not understand.
