[Location] Ire Forge
No other place (except for the armory), draws so much attention from the Pardahun Votar as the Forge does. Due to the value given to weapons in Orckon, the Forge is treated as humans would treat a jewelry store in the middle of a high crime area. It is always under surveillance, even if you can’t see anyone watching you. Of course the Pardahun patrols are easy to spot but many would-be thieves are foiled in their missions to snag weapons from the forge (usually hired to do so) by the counterspies that are not so easy to spot. The Forge itself is not unlike any other one would see around the Empire. This highly crucial factory of Orckon is nothing more than a simple wood hut structure with multiple furnaces used for shaping metal. This structure has been in this same spot since the city was built and is so critical to the city’s survival that it has its own fire squad that is always on standby to extinguish any fires that spring up. The Forge pumps out a massive bulge of smoke that covers a large part of the upper city. To find the Forge is easy, just follow the large smoke trail to its source. The forge serves military and citizenry alike to create orkish weapons and armors or to fashion an ugly human crafted weapon you just bought from the Trade District or beyond, into a more orc-suitable style.
Inside, there is no sense of organization to be seen. Piles of helmets, armors, and weapons alike are scattered all over the dirt floor. A table or rack here and there display some other higher quality works. A few orcs can be seen meeting with the smithies and then grabbing handfuls of armors and weapons, before walking past you and out the door.
The structure is huge and hosts three separate smithies. One smithy can be seen pounding away on his anvil and tossing the bright red iron into a barrel of water. He pauses from his work and wipes away the sweat that is beading upon his forehead. The orc’s grayish skin hints that he is from the Graymuck clan, a semi-permanent fixture in Ire. The orc looks at you then turns his back again facing his anvil.
“ Ju got work fer me?” he asks over his shoulder.
