[Location] Ire Great Hall Enclosure

Deep within the heart of Orckon straddling the upper and lower city lies all of the structures that house the government of the city. These structures are collectively known as the Great Hall district. From here, the huge orkish spy network expands like a web over the city. The district is the engine that runs all facets of life within the city walls, acts as the mouth where all orders derive and stir the great orc Horde over the lands surrounding the city. Because of the nature of orc society, the heart of the city and all that keep it running must be kept protected. For this reason, the Great Hall Enclosure was built.

Standing at nearly 12 feet high, the stone enclosure sports its own battlements at each of the three gates leading into the district plus the walls are equipped with ramparts running the entire length which make the enclosure a perfect defensive position to make a last stand if that were needed. The enclosure has a barracks to house a permanent garrison of archers, plus its location is situated squarely in the city to give it protection from each of the three main spires of the city. Pardahun orcs guard all three gates into the district. One gate is located on the east, west, and north wall of the enclosure and are the only entrances known by the public. The entrances are usually left open except in the case of attack when the heavy iron reinforced wood doors are sealed shut.

Before gaining access to any of the structures within the Great Hall district, one must pass through one of the three entrances of the enclosure. Though there are no guards that stop people coming in and out, that doesn’t mean that you are not being watched. Any foul play taking place within the enclosure is quickly handled either by the Pardahun or garrison.

6th Brightening of Cryxatum, Summer of Era XIV (pf)

He had been here a brightening and had seen a lot. And when he was not looking, he was reflecting on what he had seen and who he really was. Orog felt comfortable here- he knew this was home. The pits were there, the tents sprawled everywhere it seemed, and most importantly the drunkenness and the fighting was a continuous background backing up every scene within the walls of the city.

The orc had found a dark corner to sleep in. There was enough cushion for his tough skin and shelter consisted of a piece of wood propped up against a wall. It worked for him considering he knew sleep would not find him often this darkening. His lack of slumber was not to maintain his defenses, but so he could think about everything. He was the son of Thauk Shapit, Captain of the Black Smoke and a leader of the Skull Hammer Clan. This horde is where he grew up and he knew how things worked. He was young, that much was true, but he was not ignorant nor dumb to the fact that the horde probably meant more to him than any other green or dark skinned creature running around this place. The horde was in his blood and nothing could take that from him.

Orog was meant to be a leader. This was something he took from his father's example. Though he did not have the skills that a lot of other orcs had and he did not have the assets that even the lowest ranking grunt could obtain at the armory, Orog knew who he was. The orc only had a few crowns, a dagger, some rough clothing and his powerful body- but his mind and his blood may be his greatest assets. He would act now, and he continued into the Great Hall enclosure with something on his mind.

Brightening 2 Cycle 1 in the Month of Imperos, in the Season of Autumn, Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIV Post Fractum

Daylight began to shine upon Ral's face. As he tried to open his eyes, the light blurred his vision and his head felt like it was splitting with a headache. What happened? It felt as if he had been hit with a club upside the head. Ral has no memory of what happened after his assault on the shara body at the Jorel Temple.

Speaking of the Temple, as his vision began to make out shapes again, he saw the huge spire nearby where he was laying. He was now outside? Looking around some more he will realize that he is now laying outside of but next to the defensive wall that surrounds the Great Hall District. How he came to this place is unknown. The Shon Zi is nowhere to be found.

After awaking with a splitting headache, Ral was unable to remember anything of the day before after he had destroyed the body of the shara. As the morning daylight hit him in the face and after Ral could finally see staright, he realized that he was laying outside next to the Great Hall District. The jorel Spire was the first thing he caught side of. How he had gotten here was unknown to him and the Shon Zi was nowhere in sight, Ral's mind was in shambles. He got up from laying on the ground, but he still did'nt want to stand quite yet, due to his splitting headache. After a good ten minutes Ral was finally able to stand, but instantly he walked over to lean against a wall and collect his thoughts.

"Ahhh, finally. I have been standing herrre watching overrr you forrr many hourrrs. Damn scoundrels trrryin' ta rrrob ya all night. Good thing the Shon Zi assigned me to watch over you until you woke."

The katta's brown hood and robe kept Ral from seeing exactly what kind of katta-folk he was but as he extended his arm to shake Ral's it appeared as though he was some sort of tabby breed.

"Mikeal is my name. I am an agent of the Shon Zi. I help maintain the temple of Jorrrel. I watched you yesterrrday with the sharrra... rrreally impressive. Do you have any idea what happened to you? I bet I can fill in some of the holes you have in yourrr memory of yesterrrday."

As Ral stood leaned against the wall trying to collect himself and remember of the night before a robed katta approached him and informed him that he'd been assigned by the Shon Zi to watch over Ral during his brief unconciousness. It came of no surprise to Ral that he was almost robbed all throughout the night, Orckon was no place to just pass out on the streets. There's no telling what you would wake up missing or if you'd even wake up at all.

After the robed katta introduced himself as Mikeal, an agent of the Shon Zi, Ral extended his arm as well and shook the mans hand. It was the least he could do for watching over him throughout the night. The man spoke of the shara and said it was really impressive. Also that he could fill Ral in on any holes from yesterday, this was a great relief to Ral. "Tanks for watchin over Ral last night, I preciate it alot," after saying this Ral pulled out his crownbag and counted out fifty crowns and Handed it to the Mikeal. "Dis da least Ral can do. So ju said ju could tell me what happened yesterday right? Cause last ting Ral member is da Shon Zi grabbing Rals face wid blood soaked hands and chanting. After dat everyting is a big blank. What happened to Ral yesterday?"

The katta was a religious agent but was quick to snatch up the crowns Ral offered him. "Many thanks forrr this but you rrreally have to get contrrrol of yourrr new talent..." Mikeal said. "Yes, Jorrrel has seen fit to give you a new talent. It will take some time to get used to and to trrry contrrroling it to an extent but I am surrre that you will be able to accomplish that."

: Mikael pointed to the blood that is now dried and caked onto Ral's face and clothes :

"You see this? This blood is the sourrrce that trrriggers your new talent. Anytime you wish to engage your talent, you simply have to smearrr blood on yourself. Sometimes, I have seen those that have been given this talent also engage it by simply seeing larrrge amounts of blood being spilled. Do you still have no idea what this new talent is that you have been given?"

The katta, although a religous agent, quickily grabbed the crowns that Ral offered him. But hell, everyone had to make a living, even those who work in the spires. After he thanked Ral for the crowns Ral replied,"It no problem, tanks for watchin over Ral." As the katta continued speaking to Ral about his "new gift", whatever that was, Ral was still a little puzzled. He understood how to actiate his new gift and that it would take some time to learn to control it, but Ral still had no memory of what happened to him last night, so he was'nt exactly sure what his gift was.

"Me understand how to activate new gift an dat it take time to learn it completely, but Ral still not know what da gift is. Ral don't member anyting last night dat happened after da Shon Zi smeared dis blood on Ral and started chanting. So what exactly is dis gift dat Lord Jorel granted to Ral and can lat or some of da oder Shon Zi help Ral learn to control it and use it right?"

The katta laughed. "Bloodlust my frriend! Jorrrel has given you the ability to activate the most primal rrrage of an orc, bloodlust!"

The katta paced looking over Ral for a moment then helped to clear some of his lost memory... "It rrreally isn't important what happened afterrr you blacked out. You did well displaying the powerrr of the bloodlust. Now you must learn to control it just enough to be able to use it. You will neverrr be able to fully control the rrrage but with training and guidance, you will be able to channel the rrrage at a target and not be overcome by the rrrage. That is what caused you to black out. Once the rrrage takes you, it will not stop until it has worrrn off. As you have discoverrred, it can last many hours and leave you in the condition you are now or worrrse."

: Puts a hand into his robe and pulls out a loaf of bread tossing it to Ral :

"It is not meat but it will stop the hunger pains. You see, you can activate yourrr bloodlust to give you greaterrr strength than any orc howeverrr, those orcs that do not learrrn to control the rage end up lunging head long into a rrrank of dwarves on the warpath and never live to see the result. I guess the only good thing is that they will have no memory of it. Channeling the rrrage at a target and learning to focus the rrrage into a sort of bottle within you can effectively make it like a switch that you can turn off and on at will. This will make you a powerful orc indeed."

The katta paused to make sure that Ral was following him. "Of course, the Shon Zi would neverrr foresake an orc that has been graced by Jorrrel. That is why I am here, to be your spiritual guide and trainerrr to help you masterrr your skill."

Still unsure of the happenings of the previous night, Rals head was in shambles and his body was aching. But apparently whatever he did impressed the Shon Zi he was speaking with. Once the man told Ral that he had the power of bloodlust he felt a sense of pride come over him. After hearing the Shon Zi's further explaination though, he realized it would be important to master channeling the rage with him, before he used it in battle. He had no intentions of getting killed in battle from going on a warpath.

The loaf of bread was a good sight to Ral, due to the fact that his stomach had a stabbing pain of hunger. After ripping the loaf in half he began eating the first half of the loaf while continueing to listen to the Shon Zi. Ral was quite glad to hear the Shon Zi say that learning to master his bloodlust would make him quite a powerful orc. Finally Ral stood up straight and followed the Shon Zi, to where he assumed to be the Jorel Spire, while finishing off his loaf of bread.

:Mikael walked toward the Jorel Spire with Ral beside him :

"You must learn to control the rage. Before you can control the rage, you should practice by purposely triggering your bloodlust. Smear blood from something or someone onto your face and neck and let the rage take you. It will last many hours so make sure you are somewhere that you won't get into trouble or get yourself killed. As the rage subsides, it will let you regain control of your mind and emotions. You'll have the big headache as you have learned but it gets easier and less painful over time."

The pair walked until they stood before the entrance of the Jorel Temple. Looking up at the spire towering above them, Mikael added, "Spend a few days on your own practicing turning on your bloodlust. Do not expect to control the rage, just let it take you. The experience is what I want you to learn. Once you know how it will affect you and you discover all the damage you can do while enraged, then you should come back to the spire and we can take the next step in discovering your new ability."

Mikael nodded at Ral to let him know that he was leaving now and then disappeared into the spire entrance. It was obvious that he was not going to disclose all of what he knows right now and leave as much as possible to Ral's own discovery. Each step of the way Ral would be guided to the next. What the Shon Zi will do with Ral once he does master his ability is anyone's guess.

The young greenskin followed the crowd as the worg rider instructed. It was all so new for him, this many orcs in one place was staggering. He knew how the stupid little halflings ran from his mob of thirteen, what would they do when this many orcs went marching. It was a good time to be an orc and Grik was now in the place he was meant to be.

The crowds pushed together as they neared the Great Hall. Grik elbowed a few smaller orcs away as he pushed himself inside. His blood started to race in anticipation of the adventures to come. He soon found himself through the unguarded flaps that led into the hall, following the crowd as they shuffled towards the Recruitment area.
