Looking for the Doctor (Zytron)

Finkle hated sailing with a passion! Trouble was he was the messenger that was to take the messages from Jeims to islands of Eunisia. Really why would anyone choose a halfling to go to sea? Why would a halfling choose to go to sea? “Cause yer a fool Finkle and that’s fer sure”. So here he was making his way into the Tricca thingy where there were doctors ‘n such looking for one to come back to Jeims.

”Oi got a message fer the doctor if’n one ‘o you is t’doctor.” he called out in a rather loud voice before promptly throwing up on the floor. “Flamin ships!” he muttered looking sheepish if not a little less green.

Zytron was just leaving the Tricca Medical Science Center when the halfling came barling into the lobby area, obviously sea sick. He had made good time to not get sick on the way to the Medical Center - Zytron made a mental note to comend the halfling for being able to hold his vomit.

"I am not the doctor, that would be Rikert or Jasonare if you are looking for medical staff here. But I am a doctor if you are not picky about who treats you." Zytron's healing kit was in serious dissaray since the episode preceeding this one - Rikert had gotten all of his belongings but knew not of how to arrange them. Nevertheless, Zytron rifled through it until he came upon a vial of Jumblai, which he quickly administered in a cup of tea.

"Here, drink this," he prescribed, "it will make you feel better." He paused to allow the halfling to drink ad then finished. "Was this what you needed a doctor for, or is there something else I can help you with?"

Finkle looked up as the man approached and spoke to him his cheeks flushing a fiery red and he tucked one rather large foot behind the other. Zytron’s words though had his eyes flying upward to stare in awe of the doctor. He took the proffered tea and gulped it down, after all a good cup of tea cured all ill’s or so is ma always said.

”I were asked by Nell t’come’n’get t’doctor fer mister Nik’less he done lost ‘is memry summit terrible an ‘e’ can’t re’mber ‘oo ‘e’ is.

Nell said I were t’tell ye t’come t’Jeims stables cus mister Nik’less be there wi Missus Seelie” Finkle repeated his message without thought to clarity. It was to be hoped that the doctor understood the half of what he was saying.

Zytron strained to undestand what the halfling was telling him. This was an dialect he was not used to decoding and he was half tempted to spellcast to yank a better translation out of the halfling's very mind.

But he understood enough to discern the basics. "Let me get this straight: A man has got amneisia and you want a doctor to accompany you to Jiems to try and jog his memory."

He paused and thought about the tasks at hand. "I can be there by next cycle - me and my party are traveling to Carmeyln anyway by way of Jiems. I can stop in and see what the matter is. Perhaps a doctor trained in Mysticism will be of more help to you than one without magical talent."

Finkle was feeling so much better now, that tea had done the trick mind you a nice plate of boiled beef and cabbage would be good. Still can’t have it all.

”Aye, I did say that din’t I? A doctor ye are a doctor ye said. T’mistress she said the man was found in’t t’snow weeks ago by Missus Seelie. She bin taking care ‘o’ ‘im.

Well I best be off then and tell t’misuss Nell tha ye be a’commin soon. Jes look fer t’stables by t’warf an ye’ll find us.” he said trying to enunciate his words more clearly. He tended to run everything together when he was excited and Mrs Nell was always telling him to slow down.
