Sullivan Kael is unknown and forgotten
[Dockside] A warm landing at last. (PM to join.)

Early morning of the first cycle of Immanis. Spring. Era XIV Post Fractum.

Dockside, the hustling, bustling centre of trade away from the main square. Where goods are delivered, bought and moved away again. Travellers, having hitched rides on these merchant vessels were embarking and disembarking, paying fare or calling in favours. One such merchant ship, recently sailed in from Taralon to make a few crowns off of it's cargo, was carrying one such passenger. A man in his prime, seemingly accustomed to sea travel, was looking over the port side and at the city where he'd soon find himself working and living. Not much by his own choice, but more by the hair-brained schemes of a woman he seemed to be unavoidably associated with. He probably couldn't get away even if he tried, so it was just far easier to go with the flow and hope something else distracted her.

The boat eventually pulled into port, the gangplank lowered. The man turned to the captain of the ship and shook his hand. "Thank you captain, I appreciate the lift." He stepped back, swinging the duffel bag with all his belongings over his shoulder.

Aye, no problem lad. I owe your father a few, this is one down and a few pints when I get back for the rest. Take care, and calm waters to ye Sullivan." The captain replied gruffly, but good natured, then waved the man off his ship, attending himself to the lifting of cargo out of the hold.

"Aye, fair winds to you too captain." Sully replied, stepping off of the boat and onto the docks. So this was prime, just the bustling, cramped overpopulated hole he had been expecting. Now he had to find a place to stay, a job to get him money and, hopefully, avoid all contact with Tamsin for as long as possible. He stood upon the docks, peering about himself, wondering where to head first.

Tamsin Flynn is unknown and forgotten
Tamsin had been in Prime for naught but a few weeks, and now it was spring. The winter pallor cast over the city had been dispelled in favor of cheerier skies, and the trees dotted about the city had begun to bud. Winter had been cleansed from the air, leaving an aroma that smelled of spring, even amongst the fishiness that had long since permanently permeated the air along the docks.

The woman had taken to spending her mornings dockside, hoping that with the turn of the seasons that Sullivan would be blowing in with the tide. So far, the early candlemarks of each brightening had been wasted, as the Medonian and thus far not seen hide nor hair of the man who was simultaneously her best friend and biggest pain in her backside.

Tamsin also fretted that he may come in on the evening tide, when her...ah...duties...at the Chasing the Dragon prevented her from watching the ships come in. Not that those duties weren't pleasurable in their own right, for they brought in good coin and there was nothing Tamsin enjoyed more than the sight of gold crowns glittering together in heaps, catching the light of the suns and making them sparkle...and it was even more fun when those coins belonged to her.

On this particular morning, however, it seemed that her candlemarks were not wasted. Coming into port was a ship that she recognized from her childhood. Its captain (and the bosun, and most of the hands, no matter how many times the crew changed) had spent quite a bit of time in her mother's company. And there, coming off the deck was her target. Tamsin would recognize Sully anywhere.

She trotted over to where Sully was standing on the dock, almost giggling as she did so. "Hoy there, Sully! How's my little poppet been? Have ye been behavin' yourself, love?" She threw an arm around him and kissed him soundly on the cheek, grinning inwardly. It'd probably annoy him.

Sullivan Kael is unknown and forgotten
He yawned and stretched his arms above his head, idly wondering what to do now, finding a place to live was high on the list, like feth was he going to sleep on the streets of Prime. He wasn't particularly looking forward to sleeping in the taverns of Prime either, he'd heard the stories, of all the various shady characters that lurked in the corners of those establishments. Taralon had had it's fair few, but Prime was bigger. Much bigger.

In fact, the chances of bumping into anybody you knew were minuscule, the place was so large. Whatever Gods looked over fate must be in a really funny mood to have such a thing happen. Just like one was right at this exact moment, fully intent on making Sully's life a whole lot more interesting than he could ever want it.

He wasn't really paying attention to the crowds, that was his first mistake, he didn't spot the unmistakable figure of Tamsin swanning towards him until it was too late. He let out an audible groan at the sight of her, slapping a hand to his face. That was his second mistake, acknowledging her presence, now he couldn't feign ignorance and make an escape. Then her arm was about him. He slowly slid the hand from his face and glared at her testily, a look of annoyance spread over his face. "Ye gods woman! Can I not have a minutes peace without ya, not even a mark?" he said, shrugging her arm off, "It's like ya have some instinct, know exactly how to find me, flaming annoying it is."

He then punched her jovially in the shoulder and pulled her into a firm hug, then held her by the shoulders at arms length, a grin breaking out across his face. "It's good to see ya again 'Sin, feels like an age since I had to look at your mug. Prime certainly seems to be treating ya well, aye?"

"A minute's peace my cute, round, rosy little arse! The way I remember it, you stubborn, addlepated blaggard, ye've had an entire season's peace!" Tamsin crossed her arms in front of her chest, glaring up at him. Sully might be almost an entire foot taller than she was, but that wouldn't stop the woman from punching him in the head if she felt her friend needed some sense knocked into him. Which generally he did, at least in Tam's unbiased and totally professional opinion.

She relented quickly, however, for Tamsin really was glad to see Sully. It was like your favorite dog, after having ran away, suddenly reappearing at your doorstep one day. Not that Tam had ever had a dog. She was more of a cat person. The young woman rather admired their evil, feline genius. "Of course it's annoying, darling." Tamsin stopped to flutter her eyelashes at him. "If it weren't there'd be no reason for it. You don't expect a lass to be revealing all her secrets now, d'ye Sully?" She grinned and punched him back, though with a mite of seriousness behind the friendly blow, letting out a yelp when he pulled her into the unexpected hug.

"Bloody, flaming heck, Sullivan Kael! Give a lass a warning next time! I'm pretty sure ye've bruised my ribs." Tamsin looked at him rather crossly. "If ye've left a mark, the Lady isn't going to be pleased with me. And how many times have I told you not to be calling me Sin!?" She glared at him some more. "Aye, fairly well. C'mon, ye've got to be hungry. I'll take you to the Crown for some grub. It's in the student district."
