Cruril started reading through the book. He first came upon how to create the body of a golem.
Based on Marthan's notes his teqnique that was tought to Cruril was to use molds. It doesnt take a crafters hand and the work is already done. The more detailed the mold is, the more detailed the body will come out as.
Cruirl kept reading through. He read more and more on how to give commands, rules and to imagine the body moving like a child would. The golem needs to have basic movement patterns. The bending of the fingers, arms, elbows, etc will all come to fall in place under such thoughts/ideas.
The hours grew long and Cruril felt like he was even more knowledgable in the crafting of such creations and felt it nessacary to try to create a golem again. This time he would be more catious.
Cruril even after a hard day went back down into the room he started to learn the craft in.
The gnome paused a moment and took in a deep breath. He was taking a moment for Marthan. He was a crazy old elf, yet he was very intellengent.
"Tis one heres fer you, Marthan." Cruril said as he examined the pit. He was pretty sure that HIS creation was gone and done for but he was just making sure.
Cruril shuffled over to the bones hanging from the ceiling He was going to follow Marthan's art of doing things. Cruril held the boned skelton by the ends at the top and carefully and slowly dipped the skeleton into the cement pit.
He then carefully carried it over to the mold and layed it in properly and closed the lid. Cruril wasnt sure how long it would take to dry but figured that Marthan was an intellegent old big-nob so it couldn't take long.
So while the mold was closed and the body was drying Cruril took some of te leches out of the jar from where Marthan got them and placed them on his arm.
The gnome started thinking of how the golem would move. He thought of basic movements this time. The same movements he had. The bending of the fingers, arms, wrist, elbows, hips, neck, back legs knees and even toes. Cruril wasnt sure if they had toes but he wanted them to bend if the golem had them. He imagined them bending and twisting in the ways the body parts were use to.
The gnome started thinking of words he wanted the golem to know.The vocabulary. Sit, Walk, forward, side ways ,backwards ,hault ,smile ,pickup ,drop,kick ,punch,defend ,jump , Cruril Shortankard , Cruril, gnome, behind, infront, look, up , down, run walk, attack, smile, whistle, get up, stand up.
Last thing Cruril had to do was think of the rules.
1) Never hurt Cruril Shortankard.
2)Always obey Cruril Shortankard.
3)Always Smile.
4) Whistle when something is going to harm Cruril Shortankard.
5)Protect Cruril Shortankard.
Cruril picked up the tongs and grabed a piece of feversteel from its container. Cruril added the feversteel to the body and then the leeches. He closed the mold again to make sure that it was completley ready.
The gnome went and sat down on the table and waited for about twenty minutes and then opened the mold to see if his creation came to life. Cruril had his rusty dager at his side incase it was another...rogue.
