Kavene was ready for the "Tier" 2 test. His masters were confident in him, as he was confident in himself. He would build the first of his specialized golems, and acquire all the information needed to be called an Apprentice... But first he needed to show he understood what he learned.
First was the Test, then there was the Creation of the Golem, and Finally, the passing on of Knowledge. The pair had also said they would supply him with a bit of Feversteel, and contact to their provider... if he could pass.
He intended to Pass, he had studied his notes, he knew Golem crafting inside and out, he was ready, we would win, then go home...
He would miss them.

Kavene went downstairs to eat breakfast with Martha and Boris. It was during this meal that he would be tested on his knowledge of golemcrafting. There was a rather large expansion of food, primarily that of redmeat, eggs, and spinach. They were all foods that helped increase the restoration of blood, and it had been what he had eaten, primarily, since he got to Nexus Prime.
He sat down and grinned at his teachers as he began to eat. It was after the initial formal greetings and good mornings that the questions started shooting out. If he was wrong with any of them, he had been assured that he would not be aloud to continue.
The questions came and he shot back answers.
"What is a golem?"
"A being created to serve!"
"What are the different material types of golems?"
"Plant, Bone, Meat, Stone, Iron, Wood, glass, earth and clay, mud, Ice and snow!"
"Good, now what are the different categories of golems"
"Fantastic, standard, and non-standard!"
"What is a standard golem?"
"A golem with a humanoid body, generally that of its creator."
Kavene gobbled down some more food while Martha shot out, "How big is the feversteel heart?"
"It should be about the same size as the golems heart should be... proportionally."
"What are the properties of a stone golem?"
"They are the toughest of the golems, most common and versitile!"
"What are the advantages of a wood golem?"
"Could be used to build a ship golem, they genearlly have the ability to float!"
"What are the disadvantages of a plant golem!"
"They need nourishment and sunlight!"
Boris grinned his student was doing well. He then asked, "What is the supplementary skill needed for Stone golem creation, Wood golem creation, and Snow golem creation!"
"Stone sculpting, carpentry, and nothing is needed for snow initially, anyone can do it!"
Boris nodded pleased. His masters looked tired from the excitment. Never the less they continued, "What is a rogue golem!"
"A dysfunctional golem that must be destroyed, it doesn't follow rules, and may have a mind of its own!"
"How does a golem become rogue?"
"If its rules contradict each other the chances are increase, plant golem's and zombie golems also have a higher risk. Also, trying to add more information than the amount of blood used may cause it as well!"
"How much blood is needed?"
"It depends on how much information is required for each layer, the more information the more blood required! Size of the feversteel heart is also a factor!"
"How do you get the blood to the feversteel heart?"
"Either the impure way, which is what i use, or the pure way! Impure uses leaches, Pure one does it strait from the vein."
"What are some negative consequences for this trade?"
"An unexplained chronic illness that increases in severity as time goes by. I believe it is caused by constant feversteel radiation, as miners of the metal have the same effects!"
"How much feversteel can you get for a 100 gold crowns?"
"A few ounces worth, depending on vendor i'm assuming..."
"Correct, now what are the three stages of golem creation?"
"Creation of the body, Impregnation, and finally awakening. THe three layers of blood need for Impregnation are first for the body movements, second for the mind and vocabulary, and finally the rules!"
The pair looked at each other and smiled. "Enough", Boris stated, "now it is time for you to show us you are ready by creating a 4' tall stone golem. After doing this we will know you are ready, and we will impart the required knowledge for someone of your stature of being a Tier two!"
Kavene grinned, stuffed and feeling gluttonous, he walked over to the courtyard of the house where a large slab of stone sat.
