Second Cycle of Cryxatum, Season of Spring
Summer, such a beautiful season, one that Selena thoroughly enjoyed. A soft breeze blew over the city of Nexus, blowing Selena's brunette hair about. She wore a long gold dress that was light enough to be comfortable but modest enough to suit Selena's tastes. In her one arm, her one month old daughter Liliana was sleeping, breathing softly, wrapped in a light blanket to keep her warm enough with over heating her. Lili was always the quiet one, a gentle soul that hardly ever cried. In Selena's other arm was her wide awake son Victor holding a piece of his mother's hair in his tiny fist, his bright green eyes mirroring his mother's eyes, excitement and life reflected in his beautiful eyes.
Selena felt her life was complete as she held her children in her arms, the pain she had gone through with Dimitri and the long months of pregnancy were all worth it to hold her twins in her arms. She was still tired from the darkening before, Victor had been up a good bit of the darkening fussing and amazingly enough Lili had stayed asleep. It was nice not having both babies crying at the same time, Lili hardly ever cried while Victor was such a vocal little guy. Both infants had a crowning of brown hair on their heads, Lili having more then her brother and while Victor had his mother's jade eyes, Lili bore her father's azure eyes.
Smiling down at Victor and kissing his forehead gently, she moved towards the place she had been avoiding as long as she could. Selena didn't care about being scolded because she deserved it, she just didn't want to see her friend so disappointed in her. She greatly cared about Vis and could imagine how much pain she had gone through when Selena had disappeared, apparently she and Keldon had believed her to be dead, which was understandable of course. Now she was going to see Viskyia at the Gem shop where she was almost certain her friend would be.
She gave a tiny squeak of pain as Victor pulled too hard on her hair.
"Ow, Victor, that hurt." She said softly, not bothering to yell at him because he wouldn't understand and she didn't want to wake Liliana up. Victor looked up at her with wide eyes and a small smile on his face. It didn't take long for Selena to arrive at The White Crow Gem and Jewelry, slight hesitation overcoming her before opening the door and stepping inside. She was looked around with a smile and waited to see if Furlon was there or if Viskyia was there.
"Hello?"
