calm after the storm? (private, zokia)

Steve looked out to sea. It was quite a nice summer day in Narim, although in the distance storm clouds loomed. As far as he knew, they weren't heading towards the port town on a course to ruin the weather. Other then those dark clouds in the distance, all was calm, as far as he could see, and he was happy to let it remain that way. But there was probably some dramatic event taking place in Narim, a town were there always seemed to be something going on, from the dangerous to the absurd. The waves were a little larger then normal, stirred up by the storm, but it was still relaxing to listen to natures melody, the sound of waves breaking on the coast and rushing up the beach. The wind blew through his hair, messing it up. At least, for now, he still had hair, he thought with a smile. Hopefully, sometime soon, he would be a Juggernaut, although this meant being bald. It was a sacrifice he had to make, and it didn't really matter anyway. His training hadn't even started yet anyway.

But when he was a Juggernaut, he'd be one of only a dozen, which he saw as a privilege. He'd have to work hard at it. But if he managed it all, he would have really achieved something. He wondered what he'd be doing in a few patterns time. He didn't really have a plan of things. Maybe he would end up a general or something, and live in a big house. delusions of a perfect life perhaps? He hoped he wouldn't end up lonely though. Did it matter? He had friends... well, a friend. Maybe it did. He remembered someone then. Avion. He wondered what she was up to. Would her see her again? Maybe not. There's no point thinking of the future... you could be getting drunk. It was too early for that anyway. So he just stood, looking out to the horizon from his vantage point. He got bored of that rather rapidly, so he went down to the beach and walked along beside the water, he feet sinking in the sand with each step.

Meanwhile as Steve had been lurking upon the beaches of Narim there was indeed peral at sea. An unexpected storm followed through with its nasty threats and struck every ship that was foolish enough to be hoisting its sails at sea on this day, for the experience sailor 'should' have known that there was a storm on its way and 'should' have stayed off of the open waters.

Upon this ship was an Esh'lahier Elf, a Dark Elf, as most may call her. Her name was Zokia Zora. She was far from dark though as history proved what her present self would be, though most would only see her as an evil being; they didn't seem to acknowledge the divide between her race and the Vysstichi. So...Zo spent most of her life trying to prove their opinions wrong, hence this would give her the attitude that she displayed when one would first meet her. She assumes that all she meets carries the same harsh opinion once they lay eyes upon her, realizing that she is an Esh'lahier Elf.

~History~
At first, the corruption of the gods Meephos and Haya seemed absolute within the race. The Dark Elves were corrupt, power hungry and lustful. Yet, they did not pursue this openly. Originally, the Dark Elves looked physically the same to their elven cousins, helping them in the war against the Dwarves. Though, soon after groups of elves were marooned away from their masters, the true side of the Dark Elves became apparent. They began to rally together, hoping to overthrow their elven cousins. However, the elves banded together to try and drive them from their lands. Thus, the great divide began.

A great war ensued, lasting many eras. Elf slew elf in mortal combat and arcanic powers flew across the battlefield. The lands that the elves where marooned on soon became soaked with the blood of their kin. It was this point in the battle that the Dark Elves now known as the Esh'lahier began to doubt their actions. They realized what they were doing was wrong, yet realized the elves would not trust them. The Esh'lahier plotted carefully, trying to find a way to covertly help the elves in the war between them. They set to work when traitor elves, now known as the Vysstichi, were asleep, changing their weapons and armour for inferior ones. The Esh'lahier realized this tactic was underhand, yet their brethren where wrong in attacking the elves and so had to be dealt with. Without their quality weapons and armour, the Vysstichi soon began to fall to the might of the elven army. Their imminent defeat caused them to retreat from the battlefield. The Esh'lahier had fled the battlefield long before the battle started, searching for a new place to settle. The elves drove the Vysstichi deep underground, away from the suns of Telath. The god Ioannes showed his disfavour of these elves by marring their appearance for all to see, turning their skin a deep ebony color. To this present era, the Vysstichi retain their distinctive appearance.

~Physical Appearance~
The two different types of Dark Elf share only two physical traits; they are both elven and white hair is the most common amongst the race. Beyond this, the two races are very different. This is outlined below in more detail. Only the surface dwelling Esh'lahier have the greatest chance of mingling with other surface dwelling races. This is provided they can hide their pale colored hair as pale skin is oft easily explained. The Vysstichi only come onto the surface world at night. This is so the suns of Telath do not burn their highly light sensitive eyes. They do not mix easily with the surface dwelling races should they encounter them at all and are normally ran out of town (in the case of most surface dwelling races) or killed on sight (in the case of elves and possibly other Esh'lahier).

Zokia mostly holds true to her ancestral appearance except for her eyes and hair. Her eyes are violet in color and are very bright and alert to everything that is going on around her, though the hood of her black cloak might not reveal that to anyone. Within the confines of the black material folds she felt safe. The color of her hair is white but has glorious chunks of a light golden blonde that highlighted it gorgeously, setting her appearance apart from most of her species.

Hence her violet eyes scan the things that surround her now. The storm is going to be hitting them hard but there is much more to worry about at this time. Pirates that secretly entered onto the ship are now trying to take it over, influencing most of the crew into mutiny. Zo is now terrified. She is very much a female and very much at the disadvantage. The Elf tried her hardest to keep out of their line of sight. Surely they would take advantage of her, like they had most females aboard but she could not let this happen, she would fight until she drew her last breath.

Zokia made her way to the bow of the ship. Without many watching where they were going the ship headed straight into the storm, causing even more distress within Zo. She grunted as she kept her eyes upon the distance of the horizon. Was that land she saw? Her violet colored eyes squinted a bit. Sure it was! She found her heart relieved though her body was tense, her slender fingers gripped a firm hold onto the railing, bracing for the impact of the storm.

In all of the chaos, they attacked her. She tried to fight them off with her sword but they had cut her, in addition there were way to many. Zo fell to the deck of the ship, upon her hands and knees, as she clutched her stomach, a deep gash was there, her skin was penetrated by the coldness of their steel. Her hands trembled as she left go of the wound. The blood that laced her tremoring hands and fingers confirmed the injury.

The calm could not be seen in this storm nor could the female think that she would live to see another day. She began to pray to the Gods, even to the ones that she did not believe in. Fate and the Gods were on her side, or were they? Weakly she began to stand just as they came at her again. It was just then, just before a hand of another was about to be placed upon her, a huge tidal wave over took the deck of the ship, tossing Zokia Zora overboard. All of her belongings were lost to the sea. Perhaps it was an offering to the Gods for letting her live.

She was correct though; land was close, but that ship would never see it, though she would. Softly and very unconscious Zo floated up to that land, the shores of Narim. There she was, very much hurt but far enough away from the mutinous creatures that were still aboard the ship, the ship that was to carry her 'safely' to Narim. Her body lay very still. Blood still seeping from her wound, it could be seen lacing the soft sands in which she lays, occasionally her body would be moved ever so gently by an approaching wave.

Steve stopped walking, his attention back on the storm. He stood on the beach as the waves rolled up to his feet, looking out at once more at the fury of nature from a safe distance. Flashes of light from the lightning within the blanket of clouds were visible. Any sailors in that storm must have been having a hard time, he supposed. He stood, just looking out there for a while, unsure what to do. Steve turned to leave, about to head for the road of Shvakkim to find something to do. Looking down the beach as he turned, he noticed something on the beach, and he quickly noticed that it was a person, lying on the sand with the waves lapping against them. The person wasn't moving except for when the waves came in strong. He walked towards the motionless figure, maybe there was something wrong? It seemed strange that someone would just be lying there like that. As he drew closer, he could see it was a woman, a pale skinned Esh'lahier elf, still lying very still. He increased his pace. There had to be something wrong didn't there? He reached her, standing over the pale skinned elf, and was about to say something to see if she was alright when he realised she couldn't have been. Because seeping from a gash on her stomach was blood, staining the white sands around her crimson. The woman seemed to be unconscious too, but at least she was still breathing, she was still alive.

Why was she lying injured by the water? Her clothes were soaked, so maybe she'd floated ashore from the sea. He looked out to the storm once more, wondering what had happened. If the elf had been in that storm and fallen into the sea, she had been lucky not to drown. The waves were probably pretty big, but how had she got that wound? But he quickly looked back to her, realising it didn't matter, he knew he had to act and started thinking of what to do. The gash looked pretty deep, he thought he should put something over it. But he didn't have a first aid kit or anything, all he had was his sword and the clothes he wore. He shrugged at himself and took his shirt off, placing it over her wound, leaving him bare chested. Blood wouldn't come off would it? It didn't really matter. Steve didn't know if this was really needed, he wasn't a doctor. He crouched down beside her and shook her shoulder, trying to wake her. He'd have to take her somewhere if she wouldn't wake. The young soldier didn't even think about leaving her there, it was something that he wouldn't do. He hoped that if he was ever on a beach unconscious someone would help him. But in Narim, he'd more likely be robbed rather then helped at all, or just left, he doubted most people would want the trouble. Looking down at her, he thought she wasn't like many Esh'lahier he'd ever seen, with light blonde in her white hair. Odd, but pretty, but there was not really any time to admire this. "Wake up, please wake up." It reminded him of another time, seemingly long ago in Narim, the bottom of the sea's, or more simply, the slums. I'm always around when troubles afoot aren't i

Zo's body was heavy with wet cloths. The waves that hit the beach became stronger so her limp body was lifted now even more than before. Likely high tide was approaching and if someone had not found her, well her body would probably be washed back out to sea. Perhaps with the blood flowing from her she would have become a shark’s dinner, a very tasty morsel to say the least.

Being a Esh'lahier Elf, Zokia was most definitely different looking as Steve would find out, that is if she ever opened her brilliant violet colored eyes. The hood on her head now fell and her long flowing white hair floated around her head like a halo, she was indeed very beautiful as she laid there, very helpless.

The Elf felt the shaking. Was it the waves or something else? With proof of the life that still remained in her body, a soft groan, Zokia's eyes fluttered a bit as they tried their hardest to open. Slowly but surely the world of Narim was now exposed to her violet gaze, though she had no idea 'where' she was. Fate had smiled down on her that day; she had reached her desired destination.

Her mouth opened as she tried to speak. The pink tongue that resided in her mouth slid out to trail over her full dried lips. With a cracked voice she spoke, her throat also parched from the salt water. "Where am I?" Zo tried to get up but her limbs just were not cooperating with what her mind was telling them to do. With very much effort she finally collapsed back down to the sand. The pain of her wound and sheer exhaustion finally pierced through her body, leaving her exposed to the harms of the world. Softly her chest rose and fell. To ones observance she may of appeared as though she was sleeping peacefully until she began to gasp a little more for air.

As he shook her, a spark of life came to her before his eyes as she groaned, and he knew at least that she was conscious for the time being, and the Esh'lahiers eyes fluttered as they struggled to open. Steve could see flashes of violet colour in those eyes, which seemed to suit this mysterious woman quite well, how she had ended up in such a situation he didn't know and could only guess. He was curious, but it didn't really matter. Steve looked out at the sea for a moment, a far away look in his eyes as he viewed the rain clouds in the distance, hanging there blocking out the sunlight over the sea of Diana, threatening to drift towards Narim and unload its rain upon the port town, wondering again what had brought her to the beach in such a state. Then a ragged voice drew his attention back to the angelic looking elf lying on the sand. How foolish of him to lose focus for even just a second! "Where am i?" Were the words that slipped out her mouth, a obvious question to be asking. She must have been dazed and confused. "This is the fair town of Narim." He said dryly, a fair amount of sarcasm in Steve's voice. She could have picked a better beach to float onto, truly, but at least in Narim he was there to help her at that time in case no one else did. It was apparent that she was quite helpless, and although she tried to move she could not and she collapsed back into the wet sand.

Her chest rose and fell quite slowly for a while as if she was merely asleep before she began to gasp for precious oxygen. "Hey, don't try to move." He said to her in a caring tone, concern written into his eyes, a voice quite different to the sarcastic one from a few moments before. "Try and stay awake. I doubt you can walk, but i'll carry you to safety if i have to. Tell me whats your name?" Hopefully conversation would keep her awake, and stop her from falling into the darkness of unconsciousness. Where he would take her he did not know, he had experienced the same problem before. He did not wish to take this elf into the slums if at all possible. Perhaps, with time, she would get better, the wound didn't seem too severe. She could probably do with clean water, a bed and some food and some bandages without the need of a doctor. Steve gently picked up the beautiful Esh'lahier elf and carried her away from the sea to stop a big wave hitting her, and layed her down gently on the sand again. He crouched by her, waiting, hoping for her to speak again.

It didn't take a doctor to notice the blood as it seeped from Zo's body even faster. The crimson liquid soaked her clothing even quicker than had the seawater. She began to shake and tremble a bit as Steve carried her to safety. It was obvious to see that she was quite 'out of it' and in pain. The female started to mumble things that couldn't be understood. Perhaps she was becoming delirious. Perhaps she was dreaming of the ship as it was being taken over right in the middle of a violent storm.

Safely she was away from the now pounding waves. Steve was surprisingly gentle with her, though she wouldn't notice in the present state that she was in. Still she shook as she struggled to take a breath, as if she couldn't get fresh air. Zo began to tear at the collar of her shirt, panicking, hyperventilating, ripping it, and exposing more of her chest than she normally would of liked; the salted water beading on her flawless pale, supple skin.

Widely now her violet coloured (that spelling is for you Steve) opened as she looked up at her savor. They pleaded and begged for his mercy. She wasn't sure if he would help her or harm her at this point. Zo could only hope and place her life and safety in his hands.
"Please help me!.........The ship! Don't let them have me! Mutiny!”

Unfortunately, her heart beat had obviously quickened. Blood was escaping her body faster, drenching her clothes, as well as his shirt that was once white, which was doing no good at all. As he carried her, he could feel her body trembling. She began to mumble things he couldn't understand, maybe she was lost in a dream or unaware of things, blinded by pain. Whatever it was, it certainly wasn't making things any easier, but he couldn't expect it to be easy, and he couldn't walk away. Well, yes he could, but there was a moral barrier in his mind that stopped him, and he felt he had to help. The curse of a do gooder, he supposed. At least now she wouldn't be drowning, Steve had taken her far enough from the sea. She was still shaking and trembling, struggling to draw breath. What was he going to do? A helper with no way to help. Utterly useless.

She looked panicked, was breathing fast, and the Esh'lahier even started to tear at her shirt, revealing a fair amount of skin. The elements really were against him weren't they? He tried to ignore this as best as he could, and focus on the trouble at hand. Violet eyes opened wide to stare up at him pleadingly, though he wasn't sure if she was truly aware of his presence or not. "Please help me!.........The ship! Don't let them have me! Mutiny!" So thats what had happened? She had been on a ship, and there had been a mutiny? His eyes were briefly drawn to the storm again. He almost wanted to say "How do i help you!" But instead he said "Don't worry, I'm here to help."

The bleeding was the most concerning thing at the moment, surely he had to stop it. He pressed down on the shirt over her wound, thinking that the pressure would lessen the flow. It would hurt of course, but there was nothing else he could do, well maybe if he had more common sense he could. After a few moments, he lifted her body up gently a little and tied the now red shirt around her body, so then he had his hands free. What was he to do now? He looked around the beach, feeling alone and helpless.

Her breathing lightened. His words calmed her to the point that she was no longer panicked and afraid. The violet colored eyes that once looked upon him in shock and fear now softened and began to blink softly as precious tears trickled down the sides of her face, meeting with her pointed Elf ears then falling to the sandy beach that lay beneath her.

Zokia placed her hand on his thigh and nodded confidently toward him. With her other hand she tenderly pushed his bloodstained shirt down, after he had tied it around her, in order to take a better look at her 'tummy' wound. With each breath and heart beat Zo took note of the seepage of her lifeblood, though it was slowing and not as bad as she originally thought it to be, though it would surely leave a fine lined scar. Her nimble hands moved over her firmly toned stomach, still trembling slightly, both stomach and fingers.

"My name is Zokia Zora and I am so sorry to be troubling you in such a manner as this. I just need to be able to clean it though before infection sets in." Zo, with a renewed spirit of life and control, lifted herself a bit bodily. Without asking she leaned back into Steve, who was still kneeing beside her with a most concerned look in his eyes. Zokia chuckled a bit as she took the liberty to his strength in order for hold her up. "I owe a life debt to you.... you saved me. Right now I would most likely be floating back out to sea. What did you say your name is?" Her brilliant colored eyes darted over to the sea. Now its waves were pounding the life out of the beach. Zo chuckled a bit at the irony of 'this' male finding her.

"I would love some hard alcohol right now...it would help the pain." Obviously Zo was not new to the affects of the potentially numbing liquid. The female grinned again as she pressed Steve's shirt to her wound. Her grin soon turned into a slight taking back of her breath, through clenched pearly white teeth.

Her breathing slowed down, the elf seeming to calm down the instant his words came out of his mouth. He hadn't expected a few words to have such a impact, but he was glad of it anyway. The odd but pretty violet eyes of the pale skinned woman no longer showed any fear, and she looked calmer as she blinked, tears seeping from her eyes and rolling down her face. It was definitely a improvement from her expression just moments before, and the change had come so suddenly that it surprised him, although it was also brought a wave of relief, washing away the doubt in his mind, not unlike how the waves along the shore were charging up the beach, and then retreating carrying away sand and stones.

The Esh'lahier, who was now much better, placed a hand on his thigh and nodded confidently. He watched her as she pushed his bloodstained shirt, which he had used as a bandage, down to look at her wound. He could see the flow was slowing and it wasn't as bad as he had feared. Her hands moved with grace and dexterity, although they trembled, which was probably from the pain, and possibly shock. He was no stranger to pain, but waking up injured in strange surroundings was unsettling, he knew. He had suffered plenty of injuries, some of them minor, some of them more serious. Her wound would probably leave a scar.

Then she spoke to him. "My name is Zokia Zora and I am so sorry to be troubling you in such a manner as this. I just need to be able to clean it though before infection sets in." He nodded, cleaning it would be wise, or the wound, which was pretty minor, would become much more of a problem. She seemed calm and collected, speaking as if nothing had happened, and Zokia Zora lifted herself and leaned into Steve. He took her weight, not at all bothered by her touching him or assuming he'd support her. Then again, he wouldn't be would he? She was a beautiful woman after all, why would he have a problem with it? Concern in his eyes and expression changed to slight amusement. Zokia chuckled, finding something funny. "I owe a life debt to you.... you saved me. Right now I would most likely be floating back out to sea. What did you say your name is?" He shook his head. "I didn't..." He began, following her gaze out to sea for a moment. "There is no need to be sorry, or to owe a life debt to me. I do this heroic stuff all the time." He smiled, he wasn't one to boast and he was being silly really, even though it was half true. All the time was a exaggeration. "It's nice to meet you Zokia. My name's Steve Lionhart." He took her hand that had been on his thigh and kissed it gently, in his mock gentleman way.

She surprised him by saying "I would love some hard alcohol right now...it would help the pain." His eyebrows raised slightly, he didn't expect her to want to be drinking 'hard alcohol' after drifting in from the sea bleeding. After such a experiance, maybe she just wanted to forget for a while. Steve watched as Zokia grinned and pressed on her wound, which produced a slight gasp. "I wouldn't touch it if i was you. If you're sure you want to go and have a drink... or 10," He added with a grin. "Then sure, i know a good tavern. When you've finished bleeding i would like my shirt back though. Its kind of cold." He said, the wind was indeed a little chilly. He stood up, pulling Zokia up with him carefully, supporting her in case she couldn't stand. His looked to his shirt for a moment, wondering if the blood would come out. He supposed red wasn't a bad colour. Then he looked back at her face, to stop his eyes wondering. He couldn't help being male. Steve looked forwards to having a drink, or more accurately way too many, getting drunk was always fun. The hangover never was, but there was always a bad side to things.

Her mind wandered for a moment or two as she looked out at the sea. She almost expected to see the ship that she had sailed on but it was nowhere to be found. Zokia thought that maybe it was sunk by the huge waves that the massive storm had caused. "There is no need to be sorry, or to owe a life debt to me. I do this heroic stuff all the time." Zo laughed, not at him. As a matter of fact Zo thought him to be rather cute.

He lifted her up bodily and with much ease, to the standing position. As she 'tried' to hold herself up it pained her. She took advantage of his strength and might by leaning into him and perhaps she was being a little flirtatious. Steve’s personality obviously intrigued Zo, though she had never been ‘interested’ in a male before.

The mention of his knowing where there was a place to drink heightened the light in the female’s eyes just a bit. A few strong beverages would certainly take the edge off of her pain. "If you're sure you want to go and have a drink... or 10. Then sure, I know a good tavern." Zo figured that he was 'experienced' with drinking after his 'tavern' statement. Perhaps he liked to drink as much as she did.

Zo let her eyes look over his bare chest; she blushed slightly, hoping that he wouldn't notice. It was obvious he was cold, especially so after he mentioned that he would like his shirt back. "When you've finished bleeding I would like my shirt back though. Its kind of cold." Zokia looked down at the bloodstained shirt and grinned a rather crooked smile, blushing even more. "Oh...oh I'm sorry...yes, your shirt, your cold. You look cold." Now she 'really' had to take notice of his being without a shirt. Her mind couldn't help but to think of just how he looked without it. His muscles were nice and defined. He was noticeably in shape. Zo glanced at the ground quickly, trying not to 'look' like she was starring at his bare upper body. "Yea, your shirt. I will replace it. That is when I get money. When I get a job." Her nervousness was now plain as day to see. The Elf was stammering for her words and her cheeks were now a deep crimson. The color was very noticeable upon her pale perfect skin. "Heh, Steve Lionhart. Nice strong name. It has character"

She didn't quite have her strength back yet, since she was leaning on him a lot, well, he thought that was the reason. Steve was looking into her eyes, yet her eyes weren't looking into his. Not even at his face. She was looking at his bare chest as far as he could tell, and he could see the blush on her cheeks. A slight smile came to his face. Zokia then looked down to the shirt "Oh...oh I'm sorry...yes, your shirt, your cold. You look cold." She looked to the ground, trying to avoid looking at him. He found her awkwardness amusing, and the smile on his face had become larger as Zokia became more embarrassed and nervous. She spoke again. He could easily afford to buy a new shirt, it wasn't a problem. It should have been thrown away by that time anyway

The Esh'lahier was stuttering, with a deep red blush. Zokia made a comment on his name. Steve didn't share her opion, he thought it was kind of lame. He was chuckling now, trying to prevent himself from all out laughter. "Ahem... yes. Thank you. I always thought it was a boring name though. Don't worry about the shirt, i can try washing it or get a newer, better shirt. You don't have to be so nervous either. I don't bite." He played on her embarrassment for a moment by tensing the muscles in one of his arms, and then he grinned and chuckled. "Feel free to look as much as you want okay? I mean, you're not so bad looking yourself y'know." He was being silly again, as well as flirting with Zokia without even realizing it. "When you're ready we can start walking into town. It's early for a drink really... but who cares." She seemed to like alcohol as much as he did, or maybe even more.

Another cool sea breeze swept up the beach, giving him goosebumps. He hoped he wouldn't have to walk into town bare chested, especially if every female there was like Zokia. She reminded him of that woman at the honour house, the one who had given him his uniform. She had been embarrassed at just a fleeting touch of hands! Perhaps he was just that handsome. Unlikely

ooc- I hope that I can do this, play a npc just to heal her! Let me know if I can't!

Mid-day was approaching its end and the light from the illuminating plant(s) was fading. Zo was in the hands of a male, Steve Lionhart, and enjoying it tremendously, to say the least.

Meanwhile news traveled fast in Narim. The news of a female found upon the shores of its land was the buzzing topic upon most people’s lips, including a few that used healing to make money. Quickly a female gathered her supplies and questioned the one that started the rumor, the one that passed by Steve and Zokia without their even realizing it. Then as she stammered out the door she grabbed one of her husband’s best shirts.

In a flash she was down to the beach, fumbling with her bags. She nodded at Steve and Zokia. Without a word she was pulling at her bandage and throwing a shirt at the male as she grinned from ear to ear, noticing the blush that was still floating about Zo's features.

Moments before her arrival.......

Zokia still pressed into the body of Steve as she made a 'small' attempt to take a step. For some odd reason, beyond her present thinking, Zo was drawn to him. Perhaps it may be because he wore no shirt at the present moment. Anyway.... the female had a low tolerance for pain so she let out a rather loud grunt and an ear piercing squeak; surely all of Narim must of heard it, she thought.

His words played in her head like and echo as she swallowed the pain. Maybe they made her feel better just thinking about them, though she remained embarrassed still. "You don't have to be so nervous either. I don't bite." and "Feel free to look as much as you want okay? I mean you're not so bad looking yourself y'know." Zo couldn't help but to let out a laugh, of course it was laced and mixed with an obvious amount of hurt. She nodded politely toward him as her violet eyes caught sight of the female, slowly approaching them, in a bold pace.

Immediately Zo knew what she wanted. It didn't take a scientist to be able to see that she was seeking to heal her. Zo laughed even more when the healer chucked a shirt at the chest of Steve. At last maybe the female Elf's blush would leave her cheeks if the males chest were covered up.

Soon he too had caught sight of the woman walking down the beach towards them, carrying bags filled with bandages and things. The woman said nothing and threw a shirt at Steve, making Zokia laugh, and started to pull out bandages and things from her bag. The woman hadn't been asked to do anything, but he wasn't going to object even though she would probably expect paying. He had plenty of money anyway. Steve put the shirt on, happy to wear it for the time being. Steve stood and watched without a word, waiting for the healer to get to work so the wound could be properly tended to. Then there would be nothing more to worry about, and they could drink the brightening away quite happily. It wasn't like he had anything better to do, or anything else in mind. Steve supposed that he could exercise or something back at base, which was not something he saw as exiting. He got bored pretty easily, and although there probably was something to be doing, he never thought of it. Not that it mattered now anyway, since something had happened. He then turned away from the pair and sat down on the sand, looking out to sea, imagining what had happened out there on that ship that Zokia had been on. He had quite a good imagination, if not a terribly realistic one. Soon he appeared to be lost in thought, resounding cries of "Arrrr!" echoing inside his head.

The healer had asked Zo to lie on her back. Zo obeyed but soon she was up on her elbows watching the healer at work. A few times one could hear the female gasp for air and perhaps mumbling a few curse words beneath her breath as her teeth clenched together and her nose wrinkled a bit. "Hell's sheath........."

Occasionally the healer would look up at her and assure Zo that she would 'try' to be a little gentler. Smartly she made an attempt to distract her from the pain by way of conversation. "How did ya get this nasty scratch anywho my dear?" Reluctantly the Elf told her a bit of what happened. "I was actually aboard a ship, on my way here, when mutiny broke out in the middle of a storm. They wanted to make me a slave of theirs but.......they were mistaken and robbed by nature. I was tossed overboard by a huge wave. Do you think that this will scar?" Zo 'tried' to change the subject of the present conversation, though she really wanted to know if it would scar. The healer nodded up at the Elf. "Afraid you will have a hairline scar but I will do my best to do a good stitch job."

Time wasn't standing still for no creature upon the planet, soon upon the horizon of the sea would be putting the illumination of light to rest. Zo actually hoped that she would be on the beach to see it. The Esh'lahier Elf tried to shake the events of what happened on the ship. The thoughts of her being a slave made her stomach churn and bubble forth hatred for the ones that planned the mutiny and then carried it out. Zo laid back on the soft sands for a second. As she did she glanced over at Steve. The female wondered what he was thinking and why he chose to sit with his back turned. The female cleared her throat to 'hopefully' grab his attention. As she did this she struggled to get her heavy cloak off, only to reveal even more of her hourglass figure.

OOC- Attire description will come later, after I figure it out. But assume that her attire will reveal some flesh.
