Ica is an upstanding Citizen
Lonely Faery

Ica sat on the cold floor of the first room in her house. She had her knee's slightly raised and her feet flatty planted on the splintering wood ground. Her hands, also firmly set on the ground, were behind her so that she leaned back on her arms. She looked around the big empty room and frowned. She didnt have anyone. She took a swig of whiskey from her cantine that hung from a string around her kneck and lay down on her back. Her being alone was causing her a nasty drinking problem. She had 2 rooms far to big for her, another room with a fitted house inside it, and about 500 in currency. That was about it. She didn't have any food or even a job at that. Ica ran her small fae fingers through her , now orange hair. Ahh. She sighed deeply. She pushed herself up of the ground and in a drunken way flew to the door. Actually it was into the door, but her numbed body didnt feel it. She pulled open her fae door, which was a door up on top built into the actual sized door. She flew out in front of the house, leaving the door open, and then she plopped right in a bed of thorned roses. This was probably most likely due to her combination of being tired and being drunk. AH! She gasped in a small squeeky voice. She pointed out her elbow to observe the blood the thorns had drawn. In doing so, she jammed her arm directly into another thorn. She jumped back and ran her back into several other thorns. Ica wept as she carefully lowered her self to her knees on the ground. She placed her hands on the soft earth that the thorned flowers grew from, and she carefully crawled until she was out of the bed.

Ica pushed herself up and into the air with her green fae wings that matched her shimmering green eyes. She dusted the dirt off of her fore arms and then her legs, revealing her milky soft skin. She seemed to glow because of the light from the house shining on her pale skin and orange hair. A cricket chirped in perfect rythem, sending chills through Ica's body. YAWN . Although it was perfectly dark, the stars and the warm air some how calmed Ica. It made her feel like she really wasn't alone. Although she hadn't faced anyone for quite awhile, she felt happy and content as if someone were holding her and whispering in her ear. She slowly sank to the ground and fell asleep right there on the soft warm earth. Her head lay on her arms leaving her soft deliacte curls covering her face and her legs curled up to her chest. Occasionally twitching, she dozed into a sleep which pulled her deeper and deeper into sleep.

Tharion walked down the path. Talking to himself. "Where can I find an orc. It's not like you just stumble over them. What is an orc." Tharion stoped in the middle of the path he was only a few feet away from Ica. "Where can I find orcs... Or what is an orc." With Tharion's lack of knowledge he didn't know many of the different races. Just a few.

His trail of thought was lost as he heard a cricket. "Im trying to think!" Yelled Tharion as he looked in the direction of the cricket. "Now where was I.... orcs that's what I was thinking of" The cricket chirped again and once again Tharion's train of thought was lost. "You're going to die now cricket." Said Tharion as he picked up a rock that was near Ica. Tharion threw the rock in the direction of the cricket but all that happend was more chirping. "You're testing my nerves," He said as he reacked of another rock and noticed tiny little red dots on the ground. "What would that be" He said as he kneeled down to the ground to investigate his findings. Tharion moved the dirt around a little and then he noticed a little movement. He gently pocked the little creature with his finger. "Well what could this be," He said as he scooped up the little figure into his palm and stood up.

Tharion moved his hand closer to his face then farther away. "It's a little thing," Tharion said aloud. "I've never knew of these small creatures. Maybe it's some kind of new animal." Tharion smirked as he considered his options. "I could take it to the smart people and then I'd be considered smart. Then again I'm not smart enough to try and discover something again. This was just luck," Tharion thought harder and deeper. "Or perhapes its a new kind of evil. A small evil creature bent on killing every other living thing on this world. Maybe I should kill it before it took over the world. Then I'd be a hero," Tharion stood there looking at the small thing in his palm as he thought longer.

Ica is an upstanding Citizen
Ica's deep sleep had slipped away and she could sense everything around her once again. Still tired and weak she heard a faint sound. Orc ... and repeating again..orc . In her head, thoughts ran wildly. Orc? Is an orc around!? No, this is just a dream. Why does this feel so real. Her wings twitched and she slowly opened her eyes. ORC!! Ica screamed and jumped out of the dwarves hand. In a half breath she flew backwards, terrified of the...dwarf? Wait, where was the Orc? Was the dwarve sent to fetch Ica for an Orc? Orcs were known for eating faeries! Or was the dwarf sent to kill Ica. She read about orders for faeries to be killed, but she didn't think it was true! She gasped and shaking with fear said P-p-please don't kill me. Tears welled up in her eyes as she curled up and shivered. Her pale skin became even more pale and cold. Maybe she had just over reacted. W-who are are? ... What do you want with me? She sniffed. If you are going to feed me to an O-orc, I must warn you... I'm not the great for a big appetite. . The dwarf looked rather like he was not very clued into much of anything. She looked and saw his two handed ax and she gasped, in a high pitched manner. Ica didn't even remember what she was doing outside. She zoomed back into her house and made sure to lock both doors. She leaned against the door and sobbed into her knees. What was she going to do. Ok, she had to admit that having to see someone was rather comforting. Even if the being could have ended up killing her.

Ica went into the third room, which , had a fae house built into it. She sighed and climbed the the second floor, and sat at her desk. What was she to do? There wasn't anything. SIGH Ica walked down back the stairs and into the first room. She slightly opened her fae door and peeked out. Maybe if she introduced herself, she would find a rather friendly dwarf. My name is Ica. Please don't hurt me. If you need anything, I will be glad to help. Umm.. Please don't hurt me. I have no bad intentions and I am as friendly as a fae can get. Please don't feed me to an orc! Please don't. For some odd reason, Ica began to grow very calm. She sat on the edge of her fae door and ran her delicate fingers along her blood dried arm. She remember how she fell into the rose bed. No wonder why she was so tired. That had really hurt her. Of course it wasn't as much pain that the dwarve could cause her. However, a feeling told Ica that the dwarf wasn't going to hurt Ica, unless she annoyed the dwarf. Ica forced a smile and asked the dwarf welcomingly, So.. what are you doing around here? . Ica sat silently waiting for an answer. She was still tense, ready to jump back if the dwarf tried anything. She looked down at the dwarf and shivered.

Gabriel is an upstanding Citizen
As Gabriel flew around the streets of Narim not totally sure where he was going. He was using this time to think. His thinking had however turned into daydreaming about all the wonderful things he would buy when he finally became wealthy. As Gabriel flew blind to the world and only concentrating on his dreams he suddenly heard someone shout Orc. Almost instantly Gabriel was shaken from his daydreams and he drew the tiny dagger that he always carried and thought to himself “Not more orcs…” Gabriel then took a quick glance at his dagger “Hmm…what exactly do I intend to do to an orc with this, Oh well I suppose it is better than nothing.” Gabriel getting past what fear he had decided to go see what all the commotion was about and flew as quickly as possible in the direction of the scream.

As Gabriel drew closer he saw a small trail of red on the ground and the fear immediately rose in him as he thought “Well, isn’t this just great me by myself with orcs on the loose.” Gabriel tightened the grip on his dagger and continued to fly forward for a short distance until he came upon a rather peculiar sight. Gabriel came upon a dwarf holding a Fårie and heard the Få say, “I'm not the great for a big appetite.” And then fly into a small house. Gabriel stopped in mid flight and scratched his and thought to himself “What kind of dwarf would be worried about how filling a Få would be? I guess I might as well go see what is going on. Good thing it wasn’t an orc.” Gabriel then put his dagger away and flew closer to the dwarf.

Without saying a word Gabriel flew over to the dwarf and hovered off to the right side of his head for a moment and examined the situation. Still a bit confused Gabriel casually said out loud to the dwarf “Why did that poor Få yell orc?” Gabriel then flew a quick circle around the dwarf to make sure his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him. After one circle around the dwarf, Gabriel was satisfied that this was indeed a dwarf, and in no way resembled an orc.

Shortly after he finished the circle around the dwarf, the other Fårie came back to the door of her house, and began to plead with the dwarf not to feed her to an orc. This didn’t help Gabriel’s confusion at all, in fact the situation was starting to give him a bit of a headache. Gabriel decided it would probably be best to not say anything and let the dwarf handle the situation so Gabriel flew down to the ground and just stood and listened to the Fårie and waited to see how this odd situation unfolded.

Tharion is an upstanding Citizen
As Ica jumped up and yelled orc Tharion jumped back and drew his axe and then he looked around. "Where's the orc, are you an orc?" Tharion stopped and just looked at the little creature fly around in the air in a panic. Tharion watched her fly into her house. So Tharion walked up to the door and put his ear to it. All he heard was Ica crying. "O dear, I made the little thing cry," He backed away from the door and thought what can I do to make that thing to stop.

Tharion looked around and spotted the other little creature. He put his axe away as he looked up at the little flying being. "Well let me thing," Tharion scratched his beard as he thought back to what happened. "When I found the creature it was laying on the ground. When I picked up the little creature I was talking about trying to find something called an orc." As the new fairy landed on the ground tharion bent down to get a closer look. "When she woke up in my palm," He holded up the hand he held her in. "She woke up and started yelling about orcs and food." Tharion nodded as he thought. "I don't mind food at all. I'm one of the first ones to grab some meat and get a brew. However I don't often like to eat something that talks to me." Tharion thought again about the question that was asked. "A fae well thats what you are." Tharion thought outloud. "That's not good, I can't claim I discovered you're odd little race. Then I won't be a well known discovery person. Then again maybe its a good thing that I'm not."

Tharion stood up as the little door opened and the little voice called out. The dwarf got his eye right close to the little door and looked in. "Well I don't want to eat you and I don't want to hurt you. Actually I need you're help," He glanced down to the fae on the ground. "Both of you, I'm on a mission from some order of something. I really can't remember. But I need to find an orc then I'll kill the orc and take the head back to the leader. I just don't know what an orc is or where to find one. If you two would come with me and help find an orc. I'd make sure your protected." Said Tharion as he pleaded for help.

Avirith Phylokiir is an upstanding Citizen
It was late. Aviri was on his way home from the Aedile's Office, flitting along on the roof tops. He choose to fly along the rooftops because crime as of late had been on the rise, and brigands and muggers were far more likely to get you in the streets than they were on the rooftops. It had just become a common occurence for the fårie come home this way.

"Caution is the key to not being eaten," was something his mother had always taught him, and it was a dogma which he followed religiously.

It had been a long day for Avirith. It had started, as most days did lately with a bad nights sleep. His dreams were nearly always haunted, haunted with visions of his unbinding, terrible dark visions, haunted with the emptiness created by the dream, and haunted even still by the visage of a young få woman he had recently bumped into and who he had become quite instantly smitten with. Of course, what it was exactly that drew him to her remained yet to be seen. Aviri had simply chalked this infatuation up to the simple, fast falling heart of a fårie youth. He reasoned that he would probably not see much of her in the future and moved on about it, though the fact that she clouded his dreams still brought about a earnest worry to the young fårie. He comforted himself with the knowledge that, at least, she wasn't appearing as the female fårie from the dream.

His day then moved on to class, where he continued to study the art of elementalism, and was still not really learning any actual spellcraft, just working on getting in and out of clara. After classes, he showed up at work, helping Patricia with what she needed help with, generally just working on his own helping most of those citizens which required the more menial assistance of the Aedile, hence why he had his job in the first place. To assist the Aedile. It had just been a long day at the office, dealing with quite a few people, filing a large amount of paperwork, and working a little on hitting clara when he had the time. It was on his journey home that his day was bound to only get longer, it seemed.

As he flitted along from rooftop to rooftop on his way home from work, he heard a voice scream out the word orc. This drew his attention immediately, as would most screams in the night. It wasn't too far away, either, perhaps a few rooftops down. It was then that battle inside himself began, a fight between logic and instinct, or, more accurately in this case, caution and altruism. Of course, almost as quickly as the battle started, it was over. The victor was altruism as Aviri rushed over to the roof where he'd heard the scream and peered out over the ledge cautiously.

As he peered over the ledge, he saw a dwarf standing in front of a house, and watched as what he could only presume was a fårie flew into the house with great haste. He couldn't really hear what was being said at all down there, and so he maintained his vantage point, watching the scene unfold, quite and greeted only with indistinct mumbles from the street. As he watched, another fårie approached the dwarf, and from what Aviri gathered, the shared a brief conversation, the other få flying around the dwarf in inspection, the returning to his original vantage point.

It was at this point that Aviri reasoned that either the dwarf and the fårie meant no harm and something very strange was going on, or they were working together and meant to hurt the fårie inside the house. Either way, he reasoned that it was safe to fly down and inspect further, so long as he kept himself at a good distance in order to break away from the pair.

Aviri flew down to the fårie and the dwarf and placed himself just within hearing range of the two. Indeed, the last words from the pair that he caught were "I'd make sure you're protected," from the dwarf. This led Aviri to numerous conclusions, most of which weren't good. Making sure he had enough space to break off, and preparing himself to make an escape should the need arise, Avirith addressed the two in the street.

"And what, pray tell, does he need protecting from, master dwarf?," Aviri inquired, hoping for the best, preparing for the worst, and just generally wishing he was in his nice warm bed, dreaming about horrors that weren't real. At least they can't kill you, after all.

Ica is an upstanding Citizen
Ica sighed with relief. She was definitely safe for now! hehehe she laughed in a high pitched giggle. Indeed, she was definitely safe! She saw the two other fae's and excitedly flew down. She hadn't seen beings in forever! Let alone, of her own race!!! She waved at the fellow fae's and smiled. She flew back up and looked at the dwarf seriously in the eye. I don't know about Orc's. All I know is that they eat faeries... Ica was scared just speaking about Orcs. Besides how could two fae's catch an orc!? ... It was crazy. And It would be awful to murder an Orc. Very much indeed. What would you want to do with a dead Orc?... I mean... there could be an adventure here!! ... Ok ! Ica made a rational choice, I will do it!... uh.. never mind i can't!!! It would be murder!! Ica felt weak between the two thoughts. Well what was she supposed to do? She could kill an orc for what so ever reason... that sounded crazy. However it sounded like there would be an adventure and an adventure would be great! Especially with two other fae's and a dwarf!... Or... maybe she could persuade the two fae's and dwarf to come inside and forget about the killing. She would get 3 friends out of it!!!!!

THinking of which Ica said Why don't we come inside and we can discuss this further. Ica flew in through her tiny fae door and from inside opened the full sized door. THe heavy rough wood door swung open and Ica beckoned the others to follow her inside.

Once inside her house you could see a regular sized couch nicely set next to a rug made out of bear fur. In a semi-circle in front of the couch were 3 four-foot-high chairs, fitted for faeries to visit with other guests. Across the room was a lit fire and on the other side of the room was a regular sized table with chairs for both guests and faeries. There were two other rooms as well. One was a guest room, for regular sized guests, and the other was actually a faerie house built inside of the room. On the first floor you could find an exact replica of the first room of the hovel. Also, on the first floor, was a kitchen and a ball room. After climbing up the first fleet of stairs, is a hall way to 3 guest rooms for faeries and another room which had what looked like a bar. Everything of course was built for faeries. On the top floor was Ica's room and a bunch of empty space. There was but one other room, but it had belonged to her parents, and not even Ica would allow herself into that room. It was kind of odd how the house was built, especially with the third room, but what would you expect to do with a house far too big for faeries?

Anyways, once Ica sat down she offered a drink. I believe she said something like Would you like some tea or anything?

Gabriel is an upstanding Citizen
Once Tharion had made his request to the two fåries, it was hard for Gabriel to fathom how someone could not know what an orc or a få was. Gabriel thought for a second because he wanted to choose his words carefully and with a look of utter confusion on his face finally got the words out “You mean to tell me that…” Midway through his sentence Gabriel was interrupted by a voice that came seemingly out of nowhere. Startled Gabriel immediately took to the air, flew a couple of feet backwards, and reached for his dagger before he saw where the voice had come from. “Geez, man you almost made me jump out of my skin. How long have you been there?” Gabriel flew back to where he had been before but hovered there this time instead. A little aggravated about being startled Gabriel thought for a few moments before mumbling to himself “I completely forgot what I was saying before…oh well it couldn’t have been that important.”

When Gabriel heard the giggle come from the other side of the door he smiled and said to the others “Well, it appears that the young lady thinks we are all a bit funny. At least she isn’t scared any longer.” Once the female få came into sight, she immediately had Gabriel’s full attention. He chuckled slightly at her indecisiveness and when she invited them inside Gabriel flew toward the door without a moment’s hesitation and called back to the dwarf “I believe that more information will be required of you before I agree to go do anything.”

Once Gabriel entered the house he flew around and gave everything a once over. Once he had finished inspecting the front room Gabriel turned to the female få and began to introduce himself but before the words where out of his mouth he noticed her bloody arms and let out a gasp. Gabriel flew over to the Fårie and picked up her hand so he could get a better look at her arm “What happened to your arms? We should get you cleaned up.”

Rynelle Vrynlawryn is an upstanding Citizen
It had been a very long day for Rynelle and now she was out doing a very necessary evil. It was something that she had to force herself to do so that she could save herself time in the long run and that was exploring her new home city. Naive to the core, Rynelle wandered about as if there was no crime. In fact, she was rather oblivious to the city news but she wasn't stupid enough to flutter down a dark alley or into the arms of a dark elf!

So she flew about and minded the locations of stores that were important to her. Now she was on her way back home and checking out the more residential area of the city. The Få hummed a lullaby her aunt had often sung to her when she was but a baby.

Thus the cries of orc just barely entered her thoughts over the dim of her humming. The cries were faint and she knew that she was far away. She barely heard anything but the very cute assistant Aedile had told her that there were Få houses in the area and the idea of one of the fiends stealing a Få from their very home disturbed her greatly. The scene of the decomposed orc remains near the gates of the city entered her thoughts and she shivered. This city had already been attacked once, were they at war again?

She rubbed her arms as goose bumps ran down them from the chill of the evening air and from the nerve wracking predicament at hand. Go see what is happening or go get help? Yet she would look foolish to get the guard if it were a joke or the cires of children playing war games. Rynelle sighed and flew in the direction of the cries.

It seemed as if she flew in circles when she saw no one about but then up head she caught sight of the dwarf and a familiar form. She flew up as two Få she had never seen before entered the house but a very familiar face hovered about the dwarf.

"Serale!" She waved and hope she got their attention. She flew up to Avirith then and couldn't help but smile despite the situation at hand. She placed her hand on his arm before she spoke. "It is good to see a familiar face!" She took a moment to catch her breath before she continued and she noticed her hand and withdrew it reluctantly and blushed. "I um." She looked to the dwarf then back to Avirith. "I heard a cry of orc and was worried. Did either of you hear the same thing?" Her words became rushed as she blushed and became a little embarrassed from her own forwardness. After all, she did appear quite the worry wort. "I mean, I may have just heard things but I remembered seeing decomposing orc bodies outside the gates when I came here and the guard had told me about an attack and then you." She gestured to Avirith. "Had told me that there were Få homes around here and then the thought of maybe the orcs attacked again entered my head and I got worried that maybe fellow Få were in danger." She swallowed. "And well, I lost a relative to orcs...and its just a fear of mine and oh my..." She laughed.

"I'm babbling now I'm sorry, it's my first night fluttering about the town and oh my here I go again I'm sorry." She played with the waist of her turquoise leggings as she looked sheepishly from the dwarf to Avirith and was utterly embarrassed.

Ica is an upstanding Citizen
Ica smiled at Gabriel. Once he had told her she needed to get cleaned up she looked down at her blood dried arms. Ica took her small deliacte hands and ran them over her arms. Oh... I-I-Im fine! I... must have fell into the rose bush.... I tend to do that alot when Im drunk She said as she indicated other scars. You see, I tend to drink quite a bit. Please don't worry , I... just get a little lonely sometimes . Ica looked up and into Gabriel's eyes and smiled in a way that warmed everything inside your body. Ica noticed that the other fae and the dwarve had not yet come in. Ica, sitting from her tall fae chair leaned over to see the others. She noticed that there was another fae as well! A girl fae! My oh my! How great! Three faeries in one day AND a dwarve. To make sure that they were still coming inside Ica began to fly over to the 3 beings. Half way there Ica turned around and looked at Gabriel and said By the way.. my name is Ica . Once at the door again, Ica heard the last words from the female fae: "I mean, I may have just heard things but I remembered seeing decomposing orc bodies outside the gates when I came here and the guard had told me about an attack and then you."... Ica jumped once the other fairy finished babbling on. It took Ica a while to comprehend what she just said. Wait... hold on a second!! Dead...composing... orc bodies? .... Is there something I don't know going on?...Whoa Once again Ica went pale and she felt weak in her wings. She fell about 2 feet , but of course didn't hit the ground. She suddenly felt like she HAD to know what was going on, and she was going to take charge. I mean, why would the dwarve need to kill an orc? And why were there dead Orcs? Maybe the other fae had just made it up? Wow... Ica was starting to get frustrated! she never understood anything! Ok! All three of you get inside my house! Right now! Ica took the two fae's by the wrists and pulled them inside. She looked back at the dwarf and stubbornly said You too!!

Once inside, Ica locked the door shut and looked at her , umm now four guests. She crossed her arms stubbornly and asked NOW WHATS GOING ON!!!! Ica sighed and pulled her hair behind her ear. Her faced turned red and partially matched her dyed hair.

Tharion is an upstanding Citizen
Tharion watched the new faerie fly apon the scene. He mummored to himself "There's another one." Tharion caught Ica's name has he talked to the male faerie. Then the new Faerie started to bable to Tharion started to think of other things as the new faerie talked. I wonder why they can fly thought Tharion. It's not right. I should be able to fly and be free like a bird. But I hate birds. Tharion got snapped back into the preasent when Ica called to him stubbornly. The dwarf looked around twice before he entered the house. He looked at the other four beings in the room. Then he was asked the question twice of what was going on and Tharion felt ready to finally explain himself.

"I am Tharion the dwarf." Said Tharion as he took a couple steps towards Ica. He looked directly into her eyes and from his expression he didn't like the tone that Ica gave him before. "On a mission from the Order of Shadows. I need to find me an orc and chop of its head to show my loyality and skill." He said as he got close to Ica and looked down at her. "However I'm not well educated and I happen not to know what an orc is." Tharion said as he stood up and looked around at the group. "I don't know about orcs and I don't know where to find one. If orcs just happened to jump out of the walls then I would have killed it already." Tharion took a breath. "So my last choice is to ask for help. I'm looking for someone to come and take me to an orc. For that you're size would be best. That way I'd make sure I killed it and you could hide easily when the fight started. So instead of having this life where you sit here in your home and have nice peace. Come with me get some knid of an adventure. Will any of you stand up to my challenge?" Tharion asked as he looked at them.

Tharion hoped one of them would join him. If one of them didn't he would probably fail his mission and not be aloud to join the Order. So Tharion's fate rested with these four faeries.

Avirith watched the reaction of the two to whom he'd launched his inquiry reacted. To his surprise, the dwarf hardly noted his existence, but the other få nearly jumped free from his skin at the sound of Aviri's voice. It was shortly after this point that the other fårie, the female, had ventured out from her secluded hiding place within her house to, it would seem, invite a street full of strangers into her house. Aviri continued to watch as the male få abandoned him to go inside with the female, only after assuring the dwarf that whatever it was that was being proposed before Avirith showed up would only have to be discussed further.

Avirith was uncertain what exactly his next move would be. He could follow these two, or rather, three counting what looked to be the unsuspecting victim, and determine better just what was going on. Or, he could go get the guard to come and stop these brigands. Or, he could just go home and let what would happen happen. His bed still beckoned, calling his name sweetly in the night, like a lover waiting for him to come home. It was this analogy which Aviri conccocted that led him to thinking briefly about the lovely fårie from work, Rynelle.

As he thought softly for a brief moment, a voice sounded out in the darkness and silence, a voice which Aviri recognized with little effort. A voice that both delighted Aviri and filled him with dread. The voice that sealed his decision on where he would be going this evening. The voice was that of Rynelle.

Perhaps I'm just conjuring that sound in my own mind because, Aviri pondered spastically, not wanting to believe that it was indeed her. But soon, there was a touch on his arm, a touch that was definately feminate. Silently, Aviri followed the hand on his arm all the way to the beautiful indigo hair which lay softly against Rynelle's shoulder. There was no doubt about it, no denying it. She was here, and she was real. Tonight, it would seem, fate wore a beard.

Without skipping a beat, Aviri continued his search past Rynelle's shoulder, his eyes steadily, and altogether swiftly making their way to her's. It took a concentrated effort to keep his eyes focused on her's, if only for the brief moment they were locked there. It was tempting to take in other parts of the få, but Aviri managed to overcome his temptation, and, after only part of a moment, Aviri blinked and smiled, "Serale, Miss Vrynlawryn."

Aviri smiled even greater on the inside as he felt Rynelle leave her hand on his arm. He touch was warming, and perhaps a bit reassuring. It seemed as though, for the brief moment that she allowed her extremity to linger on his own, no one was going to get eaten, that everything was going to be alright, and that perhaps sleep would envelope him tonight like a peaceful diplomat, not like an advancing army. It seemed as though the world would be fine, and nothing bad was going to happen. Of course, such feelings are never meant to last. Reluctantly, she began to remove her hand from him. He sighed an internal sigh, although, little of this internal struggle managed to make it's way to Aviri's visage, thankfully, he believed.

He continued to make eye contact with Rynelle when the oppurtunity presented itself during her exposition of the situation from her point of view, "Well, that's basically why I came here too. I was on my way home from work when I heard a cry in the night. I came to investigate, and well, that's about where I am. I just got here, too, you see."

He started to explain to Rynelle that he could empathize with her, having lost relatives too, but, before he could continue, the other female fårie, who's name he'd caught as Ica came out of the house. He watched as she reacted badly to she had heard Rynelle say. He saw her turn pale and began to drop, but, he didn't really have any time to react. Thankfully, she managed to catch herself rather than fall to the ground. Aviri too noticed the blood on Ica's arms, but as seemed to be the case tonight, didn't really have time to react before she was reaching out to grab ahold of him. Not wanting to part from Rynelle's company just yet, Aviri knew that he would ultimately go where she went, but, he certainly didn't want to get drug in there by Ica and miss out on a chance to be alone with Rynelle, no matter how brief.

With that thought in mind, Aviri quickly moved out of Ica's way, and, unintentionally closer to Rynelle, his arm now brushing against hers. Giving Ica a fleeting look that said "I'll come when I'm ready too."

Aviri turned to Rynelle, "Sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you like that," he said to her, taking absolutely no effort to move away from her.

He watched silently as Tharion and Ica ventured back inside of Ica's house. Turning his attention back to Rynelle as the other two were almost inside her house, "So, Miss Vrynlawryn, shall we see just what exactly is going on here?," Avirth said calmly, a bit of a humorous inflection on the part of 'Miss Vrynlawryn', clearly indicating that Avirith wasn't a fan of the formality, but certainly wasn't going to overstep such a bound without any permission.

With that, Aviri motioned with the hand of his that wasn't touching Rynelle towards Ica's house. His other arm was still keeping it's close quarters with her's, the back of his hand resting gently against the back of hers. Only once did Avirith's index finger brush itselt across Rynelle's, perhaps trying to coax her hand into something, although what would remain entirely unknown, much like the fact of the deliberation behind such a brushing, to all parties involved. Avirith hovered there next to Rynelle, smiling and meeting her eyes for a brief instant as he waited her reaction in a manner that was proving itself to be the norm for the evening. Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst, and just generally wishing he was in someone's warm bed right now.

Rynelle Vrynlawryn is an upstanding Citizen
It was almost strange how Aviriths presence comforted her. This really was him and they really were here. The dwarf didn't seem threatening at all and her eyes turned from the dwarf back to Aviriths as he spoke. She listened yet couldn't keep her own thoughts at bay. He was so kind and even though he too had no idea what was going on, she felt immediately better knowing that they both were in the dark? No. There was no avoiding it. She had wanted to run into this Få again as soon as possible. Waiting even a brightening seemed way too long. She had even considered fluttering by his house but thought that maybe it would seem for a lack of a better word: obsessive. Ok, so maybe she was a little in to him and a little clingy but that was ok right? Right. She came out of her musing in time to hear of how Avirith had also lost relatives to orcs. That saddened her but before she had a chance to reply she nearly jumped out of skin when Ica surprised her.

Rynelles back had been to the house and before she could introduce herself the girl Få was talking about a drinking problem that made Rynelle's brow furrow. She never really could feel comfortable around those who were tipsy for she never allowed herself to get to that point. Their was just something about dulling her senses that she had never liked. Immediately she noticed the blood on the poor Få and gasped "Are you alright?!" as Ica spoke about the thorns and she nodded in reply. She also introduced herself accordingly and said Icas name to herself so that she wouldn't forget it. Both fo her eyebrows shot up when she realized that Ica had been listening to her from within her own home. It seemed like everyone was confused!

Then when Ica began to fall, Rynelle jerked forward but to no avail and she breathed a sigh of relief when the Få caught herself and then flew back up to them. She was a peculiar site and Rynelle grinned at her orange hair. It was an interesting color and Rynelle had thought about dying her hair the exact same color once but she had back luck in that every single hair on her body was a perfect blue. Just by looking at her arms or eyebrows one would be able to tell her true color yet she couldn't tell if Ica died or not for her eyebrows were black and that was a much more normal color than the blue of her own.

When Ica spoke again Rynelle broke out of musings as the Få paniced about what Rynelle had said. It also took Rynelle aback for a moment. If Ica lived in the city wouldn't she have been able to see the signs of the attack or at least have heard of the attack that had happened in the winter? But maybe Ica was new too like herself, so Rynelle let her confusion roll off her shoulders and when Ica made a grab for both her and Avirith, Rynelle looked to Avirith. She couldn't keep a pleading look from entering her eyes even if she had realized she had done it.

So when Avirith avoided Icas grasp to flutter by her, Rynelle took the clue and did the same. Part of her felt bad about it but this girl Få was tipsy and so Rynelle wasn't sure how to react but to move closer to Avirith who was now by her side. His arm brushed hers and she could feel herself get goose bumps as her heart quickened a beat. When he spoke Rynelle inwardly winced. It was true, they would come when they were ready to and she didn't really want to be dragged into the house either but she felt his word choice was a little rough so immediately she spoke after him. "We will be in, in just a minute dear Ica and I will be more than happy to answer all of your questions the best I can. Oh, and I am Rynelle."

She turned to Avirith then. "Don't be sorry." She smiled at him and as he again addressed her as Miss Vyrnlawryn she quirked one eye brow at him as grinned crookedly. "If you call me Miss Vyrnlawryn one more time...or" She spoke the words with a tinge of anger that seemed...real. Until. She felt his finger stroke her hand. She looked down at it with the same annoyed expression upon her face then met his eyes and squinted hers as if to say. Don't even think about it before she firmly grasped his hand and innertwined their fingers. "I will have to tickle you mercilessly." She finished her sentence with a giggle and wink and firmly held his hand in hers before giving it a light squeeze. She was just playing, and she wanted him to know that.

It was then that the dwarf spoke and Rynelle turned to him and nodded her head. "I am Rynelle Vrynlawryn well met Tharion." She listened then to his plight and smiled in sympathy. He did not know what an orc was? And Ica was both tipsy and confused? Oh my, this was turning out to be an interesting night indeed. She looked to Avirith and couldn't help but giggle. She looked at him as she spoke to them all. "I think Ica was right and that we should all talk." She turned to the dwarf again. "I will tell you more than you most likely wanted to know about orcs..." She turned then to Ica. "And between Mr. Phylokiir here and I." She squeezed his hand again as she said the formal version of his name. It was turning into a fun game between them. "We should be able to tell you plenty about the winter and I have a feeling the assistant Aedile here knows far more than I."

She smiled at him again and she felt so...warm. Despite the fact it was night, and their situation seemed well...strange but only because it had been atleast an Era since she had a lover. A whole era..for a Få that boarderlined blasphemy! At least, tonight was an excuse to be with Avirith so soon and the brushing of her arm and hand which she had hoped meant he wanted her to hold his hand, was just an added bonus that made her wings beat an extra time. Yet she couldn't keep a bit of doubt from entering her mind. What if he hadn't wanted to hold hands? What if it was just an accident? She cursed herself in preparation for rejection. She had always been good at flirting with others but she had never been good at interpreting anothers flirtacious behavior. Sometimes, she really did not enjoy her ditzyness.

Gabriel is an upstanding Citizen
When Ica explained how she had hurt her arms, the look of concern on Gabriel’s face grew worse “Well, I’m sorry that you get so lonely.” Gabriel paused and glanced outside “But from the looks of things you aren’t going to have to worry about being to lonely after tonight. My na…” Before Gabriel had finished his sentence he locked eyes with Ica and trailed off into incoherent mumbling for a few seconds before he caught himself and started to finish “My na…” But before he could finish Ica had bolted out the door and began to try and drag the other fåries into the house. Gabriel watched what was happening through the doorway, his confusion returning, and he thought we certainly seem to have some lovely få in this city…I should get out more. Gabriel fluttered over to one of the chairs and sat down while he waited for something to happen and sure enough he didn’t have to wait long before Ica began to demand an answer to something from the other få.

Before anyone had answered Ica, however, the dwarf finally came into the house and began to explain himself. Gabriel listened to the dwarf in stunned disbelief as he explained that he didn’t know what an orc was and after he had finished Gabriel sat in silence for a few minutes as he tried to comprehend everything the dwarf said. “Ok let me get this strait Tharion…You are working for something called the Order of Shadows and they want you to kill an orc for them, but you can’t do that because you have no clue what an orc is…” Gabriel paused for a moment as he felt his headache began to get a little worse “Ok, I’m just going to think out loud for a moment. From the sounds of things given the name of the organization, and the fact that they want you to kill things to prove skill and loyalty, this isn’t exactly an upstanding organization. Am I right so far?” Gabriel paused for a few seconds before continuing “I’ve seen what orcs can do and generally if you kill one, then several more are not far behind. In short I’m not to fond of the idea of working with what sounds like a criminal organization. However I will go if either of the women decide to go, because I cannot in good conscience let them go and not accompany them.” Gabriel stopped and scanned the room a little embarrassed that he had been talking so long but he tried to hide it while he waited for someone else to speak.
