A stroll through Narim~*~Open to all that wish to join~*~
::BelegElle had recently just arrived within the city of Narim, gentle smile graced those features, as always seemed to..His clothing was only Brown Cloths, as "Humble" as any other mans were..He bore that full Capped quiver upon his back, his bow latched to his back just behind it..Two wrist guards fell loosely over his wrists, shimmering slightly in that newfound moonlight. He was simply taking a look about the city, having found his interest the moment he arrived at the war-stricken gates..Perhaps he'd find here more then he had in Natura..Perhaps not, however..In Belegelles words? Only time would tell..And he was no one to rush that timing..The stroll underneathe the moonlight? Purely made to sooth the heart and soul, of such a "troubled" young man.::

The moons were bright that night. S’Lon made his quiet way though the streets of the town, the chill of the night reminiscent of the winter that had recently lifted its icy grip from the land. His cloak was wrapped around him and he had yet to become accustomed to wearing the mesh armour beneath.
By now, he was starting to find his way around the town and it made a refreshing change to the stresses and challenges of the day to be walking in the quiet of the night. A moonlight stroll through the town might sound a romantic pleasure, however the current crime wave meant that even had he not known about that, natural caution would have ensured that he was armed. In addition to the mesh half armour, there were matching mesh arm guards, but it had to be said that he carried only the two Sai, so it could be gathered that he did not expect trouble.
Pausing at a junction and allowing the night to flow around him, S’Lon watched a man approach. Since he was in no hurry to arrive anywhere, he took the time to watch the man approach.

::He'd see the figure which stood their before him, that brow arching as he continued forward..He knew NOT of this current crime-wave, and therefore simply continued forward..Though caution was ~always~ BElegElles best Trait..EYe quirking some to show his curiosity, before approaching the man, he continued walking, though would lift his head in a bit of a nod..::
"Serale sir.."

As the man approached, S’Lon noted that although he also appeared to be in no hurry, yet also by the way he was examining the surroundings, gave the impression that he was not familiar with the area. In this, S’Lon was also much the same, he knew where he was in the town but had not yet come to claim this town as his own and still lacks the intimate knowledge that experience will teach.
The cautious approach continued and it became obvious that the man was aware of him. There was something familiar about him which S’Lon could not place. The light of the moons strengthened and S’Lon could see the brown clothes the man wore and the bow he carried behind him.
“Serale, sir,” he replied “tis a cold yet pleasant night for a stroll in this fair city”

::His head would dip in a slow, yet rather gentle nod..BelegElle, before he came here even, was quite unsociable, and still found it to be a nervous place to be..Though alas, he put up his best front..For he was not rude, simply unused to social-interaction::
"Aye, that it is my friend..I find the cold to be quite comfortable however, for I am a true enemy of the heat."
::He'd let his face scrunch up then, kindly for the most part..Indeed he preferred the cold winter nights, at least when in comparison to the sun.::

“Ah!” commented S’Lon. “I am quite the opposite, I think. I have only been here for a short while and I have yet to become accustomed to the cold here. When I used to visit the higher hills of my old home then it would also be cold, yet always when I returned to the coast it would be warmer”.
As the man came closer, S’Lon continued to scan the surroundings. The fact that the man seemed friendly enough removed the first layer of his guard and yet, even if he were innocent it would not be the first time that someone had taken advantage of inattention or distraction.
“Forgive the intrusion, but you seem familiar” he continued “and yet I cannot place you and I am new to the Empire. It matters not if I am wrong, but I don’t want to cause offence if we have met already. Have you been in the town for long?”
The familiarity was odd – normally S’Lon avoided others and this was one reason for his choice of profession. This meeting itself was unusual, normally he would not have been so forward, or to put it bluntly, bothered, to continue this conversation. Perhaps its was the solitude of the night that had made him more sociable.

;:His face became somewhat confused, the man had said Beleg looked familiar? Though BelegElle would simply let his head shake slowly, reaffirming the fact that he didn't believe they had seen eachother in the past..Though BelegElle thought into it as well..::
"But aye sir, no need to apologise..I assure you, it was no intrusion..By any means...Though do not feel insulted if we have met, indeed..For I cannot say I remember you."
::That brow would lift again, scanning the man rather curiously..:: "I have not been here ~to~ long though..I arrived here Earlier this morning..Perhaps we've met in Natura? Or even Alleria Prime? If not, however..Then I must assume you've mistaken me for another..Kind sir.."

S’Lon shook his head in negation as the man spoke, a frown creasing his forehead. “No, indeed, Narim is the only place I have been in the Empire, so if you only arrived this morning, then to be sure it seems unlikely that we have met.” S’Lon shrugged his shoulders and as his lifted shoulders also raised the cloak, a draught of the cold night air drifted down the back of his neck.
Dropping his shoulders and unconsciously straightening in response to the chill, S’Lon frowned again. If he had never met the man before then what was it that seemed so familiar? He lifted his right hand and briefly cupped his chin while stroking his nose with the forefinger. He scanned his memory of the day but it produced no answers, the familiar feeling had grown as the man approached, long before his face could be seen, so it must be his manner instead.
“Well I’m sorry that we have never met, it must be the way you carry yourself then that reminded me of someone. From what you say you seem to be some sort of traveller, and from your dress and the bow you carry I would wager that you have are able to travel well and in your own company.” He paused for a moment and realised with chagrin that once again he was half way through a conversation without ever introducing himself. The fact that the man had failed to do so also was no real defence. “My name is S’Lon by the way, so what brings you to this fair city?”

"Ah, well S'lon, a real pleaasure to meet you. My own name would Be ~BelegElle~. Forgive my rudeness.":::his right arm would extend forward to give a firm grasp if the man would take his hand, a firm, yet kind shake what he'd recieve if he did so.:: "But yes, I come to Narim to further my training. I am looking to become a Ranger, actually."::His head would lower in a soft, quick little nod..::

“BelegElle” S’Lon repeated. “A pleasure to meet you too.” A smile grew on his face and he reached forward to take the mans hand in a firm grasp and proceeded to shake it. A gleam in S’Lon’s eye reflected the happiness of his smile, and it wiped the last vestiges of the frown from his forehead.
“I do believe that may well explain why your manner seemed so familiar”, he continued “I am also looking to become a Ranger, and I started my training there recently.” His interest was now fixed and his span of attention narrowed down to the man in front of him. He did not even notice the gusts of wind that played with the ends of his cloak.
He wondered if BelegElle had been to the Ranger Hall yet since he had only arrived today. “Have you been to the Ranger Hall yet?” He asked.

"Yes I have, actually..MAde a trip there the second I got through the gates..Among other things."::He'd give him a gentle nod then, that hand pulled back to settle upon his side, eyes wandering to look about their surroundings..He indeed was a catious one..:: "Ranger-to-be, 'eh? What classes you taking currently? I myself have only had time to take up Archery, though now that I'm here I hope to fill my plate a bit more.."

“We must have missed each other there somehow then” S’Lon began, his attention widening back to take in what is going around them in the street. “I have only been there a fairly short while so far. When I first met the Master Ranger he instructed me in the duties of a Ranger and since then I have been working mainly on my archery too.”
S’Lon could see that BelegElle was a cautious man and that pleased him, as it seemed a good attribute for a Ranger, never to take things for granted and always aware of his surroundings. Of course, it could be taken too far and for S’Lon, his tendency to avoid people was something he needed to overcome.
S’Lon had been pleased to hear that BelegElle was at a similar stage of training. “With your arrival there will be three of us who are at about the same stage of training. Galliban has been there longer than me and is slightly further ahead, I don’t know if perhaps you met her, since we managed to miss each other there.”

"Galliban..Oh yes, when I spoke to Master Tev, she was present there. Though it was only an introduction.."::His lips came to take the form of a soft smile, he now found himself at a semi-level of ease..One which, while it was refreshing..Was all the more dangerous to BelegElles own well-being:: "Then, by luck and the good graces of the ~powers~ that may be..Perhaps we shall become Rangers, and good friends."

S’Lon was pleased by the response. “Perhaps we shall, with a little luck and a following wind”. He paused and let the silence of the night enfold them for a moment. After all, was this not why they were both out enjoying the moonlight?
All in all, it was quite amusing thought S’Lon with an ironic twitch to his lips. Here he had been - out enjoying the peace and solitude of the night, something that was difficult to achieve during the day in the town. One of the issues that had he had been running through his mind was the need to be able to talk to strangers and at least to be able to hold a normal conversation. Surely, if he was to earn his living while supporting his life as a Ranger some of the possible options involved dealing with people. This was one reason he had broken with his normal habits and made conversation with BelegElle. The amusement he felt was that he had chosen to speak with someone who seemed as reticent as he himself would normally be.
He allowed the silence to stretch for a while longer, expanding his nostrils and breathing deeply of the night air, the breeze from the sea bringing with it a salt tang, cleansing away the less desirable smells of the city. Who would break this fragile silence?

The break in conversation was pleasant, but S’Lon suspected that BelegElle had not stopped to swap silences with a stranger. “So”, he continued “you met the Master Ranger today. I would guess that he took you out onto the Archery range and grilled you on how well you use that bow that you carry.”
He decided to open out the discussion a little. “What are your plans as a Ranger – do you have any plans to specialise or do you have any plans once you become a Ranger?”
