Unarmed Combat “Tev –vs- Niap”

[Rogue]

The Seasoned Corporal enters the ring; it has been ages since he’s had the chance to engage in some good old fun outside the Honor House. With the current state of peace that Narim’s is enjoying, he took the opportunity to join in on the Festival.
Serale Tev. I’ve heard much about you; I hope that I can give you a worthy match.

The Judge entered the ring and began to go over the rules.
Serale competitors, just a recap on the rules. No weapons or Magic, if you are knocked out of the ring you lose, if you are knocked out, you lose. You cannot win by points, because there are none. You must win by either a knock out or knocked out of the ring, is this clear?

Niap looks over at the judge and then back at Tev, and in a low no nonsense tone reply’s Crystal clear!

[Tev]

Tev nods to Niap, "I've heard many a tale about your prowess in unarmed combat. I look forward to testing myself against the best in the Legion."
The Ranger nods to the Judge and replies, "I understand".
He waits for the signal to start, hoping to land the first blow.

[Rogue]

The Judge claps his hands and shouts Begin
Niap doesn’t hesitate and advances on you.

[Tev]

Tev watches Niap. When the Corporal makes his move, the Ranger feints to the right with his upper body and promptly swings his right fist at Niap's neck. Should he miss, Tev will follow through swinging his left elbow at the soldier's jaw.

[Rogue]

Niap’s fist blow misses it mark as Tev moves to the right. Tev counter blow strikes the Corporal square in the neck but it didn’t faze him, he quickly spins and sweeps Tev’s leg at the knee, sending him the ground.
The corporal then backs off and faces the Ranger, stretching his neck from side to side he comments Not bad Ranger, but it will take more then that!

[Tev]

Tev quickly starts to get up.
Before he is erect, Tev lunges at Niap's midsection, attempting to drive his shoulder into the soldier's lower abdomen. He tucks in his chin to protect his face, keeping his eyes on Niap's feet to detect his movement or any attempt to kick.
If successful, Tev will try to put his arms around the the back of Niap's thighs, lift him and drive him out of the ring.

[Rogue]

With a loud ummff Niap takes the hit from Tev. As Tev attempts to lift and push him out of the ring, the Corporal wraps his arms around Tev’s midsection and then drops backwards.

With Tev’s forward momentum and Niap’s bodyweight, the two begin to roll and Tev finds himself moving head over heels.

Tev lands inches from the edge of the ring.
Niap quickly gets to a standing position and attempts to drive his foot into Tev’s chest, as he is still on the ground.

[Tev]

Seeing the attack coming, Tev tries to roll toward Niap and away from the edge of circle. He hopes to absorb the kick before a lot of momentum is developed.
At the same time he tries to grab the oncoming leg before impact and use it to propel Niap's body out of the circle.

[Rogue]

The maneuver work and Niap goes down, more then half his body is out of the ring. He is able to break lose of your grip and roll back into the circle.
Once this is done he stands and looks over at the judge, he is thinking he lost, but the judge yells continue!

He then takes a defense stance and waits for you to make the next move.

[Tev]

Tev assumes a defensive stance as well. He takes a breather, keeping a wary eye on Niap. Breathing deeply a few times, he is soon ready.
After a few moments, Tev steps in and delivers a right aimed for Niap's solar plexus. He immediately follows with a left toward the jaw. Both blows are delivered with as force as Tev could muster.

[Rogue]

Both were blocked and returned. Perfectly mimicked.

[Tev]

Tev moves a bit from side to side. He holds both hands in front of him, defensively and crouches as he looks for an opening to the solar plexus. He feignts with his left, then sends a right toward the Solar Plexus. He uses his peripheral vision to watch Niap's hands and legs.

[Rogue]

Niap pivots to the left as he blocks Tev’s blow with his right arm. Once the attack was blocked he pivots back to the right as he counters with a left to Tev’s throat.

If he can score a hit to the windpipe it could be the edge he needs to defeat this worthy opponent.

[Tev]

Tev watches both pivots and tries to block the blow coming at his throat, by thrusting with his right elbow.
During Niap's second spin Tev thinks he sees an opening in the Legionnaire's defense and tries to deliver a hard blow to his abdomen. He hopes that some of the affect of the last body blow is still bothering Niap.

[Rogue]

Tev not only blocked the advance but scored a hit as well. Niap steps back into a defensive stance. As he sizes up his next attempt he spits out of the side of his mouth.
Must of the fluid hits the ground, but there is a red trickle of blood at the side of his mouth.
