Un-Armed Combat final round-Kreal –vs- Tev

The two hours had pasted and the final round of Un-Armed combat was getting ready to begin. The Judge walked around the ring, looking for any debris that might hinder the match, while waiting for the two fighters.

Kreal approached the ring, fully recovered from his previous fight. In fact, he was a bit concerned that Tev had only been given two hours to recover from his earlier fight with Demant, although that match had been a short one.

Smiling politely at the judge, Kreal began to stretch his back and neck muscles, and each of his limbs. He didn't want to get into a fight if his muscles weren't loose.

Once Kreal felt ready, he began to take deep breaths to cause a surge of adrenaline to run through his veins. His mind had to be fully active if he was to defeat his opponent, but the adrenaline would also be helpful. Today, Kreal hoped, he would attain victory.

After finishing his previous fight, Tev visits the Healer's Tent to get get his wounds treated. He then goes to his room in the Ranger Hall, lies down and rests for a bit. That done, he does his usual series of limbering up exercises and goes off for the final match. He saunters over to the Competition Area.
After removing his shirt, he reports to the ring. His neck, chest, shoulders and upper arms have many old scars. Tev first nods to the Judge and then nods impassively to his opponent. He notices that Kreal is not quite his own size, but close to it; so that factor will not matter. Tev reflects on his training in Unarmed Combat. This is the moment that will tell just how much he has learned over these years. It is the final match.
Tev scans the the audience and nods with a smile to whomever he recognizes. He then awaits the instructions from the Judge.

The trip to the healer proved beneficial for although Tev had many Scars there wasn’t a bruise on him. The Thaumaturgist had cast “Complete Healing” upon him. He would enter the ring as if this was his first match.
The judge nods to both men and begins to speak. You both know the rules; lets give the crowd a good fight. Pointing to Kreal the judge asks Fighter are you ready? After receiving his response he then pointed at Tev and asked the same question.

Tev listens to the Judge's comments and question; when asked, he responds, "I am ready".
He observes Kreal, looking for any indications of tenseness or hesitancy. Tev then looks his opponent in the eyes and maintains eye contact, having already decided on what would be the best plan of action.
The spectators are forgotten. Even Myfanwy is no long in his thoughts. Tev concentrates on one thing, defeating the man who stands before him. Nothing else matters any more. He breathes normally and awaits the signal to start. Tev tucks in his chin and places his forearms in front of his chest. His left fist is next to his jaw. His right fist is at about shoulder level.

OOC: What is the perimieter of the ring like? Ropes up to shoulder level like a boxing match? Chalk drawn on the ground? Something else?

IC:

"Aye," Kreal muttered, nodding sharply in the direction of the referee.

He then adopted a defensive stance, his right foot in front of his left, his arms bent and set slightly apart from one another. It almost looked like Kreal was preparing to catch something, but this was by no means the case.

He was here to fight, and he was here to win. He'd already lost the ranger war games; he didn't want to lose twice.

The bout has begun with the words of the Judge.
Keeping his chin tucked in, keeping on the balls of his feet, Tev advanced toward Kreal.
His intention was to move up to his opponent, get close, smother him and deliver body blows. Tev has faith in the affect of repeated body blows to debilitate an opponent. He intended the proximity of his body to that of Kreal as a way of avoiding being hit.

Kreal watched as Tev approached. The fight had begun, and Kreal knew from experience that the first attack was always a crucial one. The first fighter to make a successful attacks was by no means more likely to win, but it gave him or her a psychological advantage.

Kreal retained his defensive stance as his opoonent got closer, and began to move around the rings slowly, waiting for an oppurtune moment to strike.

Kreal would have to rely on all of his training, and his endurance would certainly have to come into play if he was to beat the human opponent who stood before him.

If Tev came within range of Kreal's reach, he would attempt to kick his opponent in the knee with a swift blow from his left foot, followed by a hook aimed at the human by coming in over the top with his right fist.

Kreal allowed Tev to move in and once within range through a kick to the knee.

OOC: Sorry for the short post, but I feel Tev needs a chance to post a response to the kick before continuing.

Having comitted himself, Tev continues his attack.
As soon as Tev notices the shift in Kreal's body when his opponent initiates the kick, he tries to move to the side away from the kicking leg. If the opportunity presents itself, Tev will try to push Kreal down while he is still standing on one foot. Otherwise, he will continue to close in, trying to smother his opponent's attack while pressing in with his body blows.
Tev will keep his defense up until he and Kreal stand body to body.

Tev was able to move out of the way of the kick but as he attempted to push Kreal over he was met with a blow to the face, it didn’t have as much force because of the close proximity of the fighters. The punch did however get Tev’s attention.
He continues to move in to where the two are almost toe to toe.

As he was struck in the face, Tev was reminded that he needs to keep his guard up. The blow smarted. He kept his chin tucked against his chest, moved in toe to toe and attempted a flurry of hard blows to Kreal's midsection. If Kreal moves, Tev will try to follow in order to stay against him and keep up the body blows. He will also try to get his head under Kreal's chin and press upward.

Kreal was surprised that Tev had seen his swift kick, but was grateful to see that the human hadn't seen Kreal's overhand punch coming from the other side. But Tev had moved, and the contact wasn't as solid as Kreal had hoped.

Having only just swung with his right, Kreal swung it backwards, hoping to make contact with Tev's face again, but this time with his elbow. If the hit was successul, Kreal would follow the blow with another punch, but from the left, hoping to hit Tev twice on the right side of his face.

Irrespective of whether these attacks were successful, Kreal would try to repeat his earlier kick - a swift blow to the shinds, whilst bringing his hands back to shield his upper body from any close attacks.

With Tev’s chin tucked Kreal’s elbow struck the side of Tev’s head which in turn caused a numbing sensation to Kreal’s arm (Funny bone) Kreal’s arm would become disabled for ten-fifteen seconds.
Meanwhile Tev begins his flurry of blows to the midsection, attempting to take the wind out of his opponent, for if he can’t breath, he can’t fight. At this point Kreals defense is to high and Tev’s get in three quick blows.
Kreals snap kick had little effect due to the close proximity and his punch to the face was blocked.

OOC: Tev I’m assuming you are wearing leather boots that lace up the front and end close to the knee is that correct?
Better yet tell me what you both are wearing for this match please.
