Touring The Ranger Hall - All Ranger Trainees

[Tev]

Galford, Hadrin, Myfanwy
Along with Myfanwy, Tev is headed for the Ranger Hall. He wants to find Galford and Hadrin. Then the lot of them will take a tour of the Ranger Hall. Its time that the trainees learned what was there and got better acquainted with their surroundings.
He calls out, "Galford! Hadrin!"

Myfanwy saw little reason to hurry on the way back to the ranger hall. It had been quite a day and one she was certain she had learnt from. She watched Tev with interest as he called out to the other two new rangers and wondered about the man that was going to be her instructor until she finished her training or moved on from Narim.

”Tell me while we wait for the others to join us…what does one do for leisure in Narim?” she asked

Myfanwy
The question gives Tev reason to think.
Not since before the Narim War has he enjoyed liesure activities other than sitting at his deck and enjoying the view at his ranch and swimming. He once enjoyed the night life that Narim provides. He thinks back to those moments and then replies to Myfanwy.
"There are Taverns that provide good food and drink. Sometimes there is music to dance by. A walk in the forest is most comforting. Likewise, a stroll on the beach in the evening is gratifying. A horseback jaunt on the beach is something you must experience.
"Lately, I've been passing my time at home, sitting on the deck and enjoying the view. Almost every night I take a swim before going to bed. Maybe I'll start doing these things again. I'd have more reason to if you would join me."

She stopped in her tracks and just looked at the tall ranger before her. “He was asking her to go out with him?” to say she was surprised was an under statement, she wasn’t sure what to make of it. That she was attracted to him was obvious to her at least. Walking out with a man was certainly something that would be indeed pleasurable.

”I’m somewhat surprised by your invitation but I would like to see more of Narim and the company would be most welcome. I trust we won’t be asking Hadrin and Galford along to chaperone?” she said with a hint of laughter.

Myfanfy
Tev laughs at Myfanwy's comment about chaperones. He's glad that she had a hint of laughter.
He puts a hand on her shoulder and says, "Myfanwy, Chaperones would have ruined that most memorable night we had. I'd never even consider having someone else join us. Here at the Ranger Hall it is different.
"We'll have to go someplace as soon as we have the opportunity."
He squeezes her shoulder for a moment and looks around for the other Rangers.

She blushed when he mentioned the night they spent alone together and was very glad that they had not had chaperones. The pressure of his hand on her shoulder sent shivers along her spine; she wished that they were not waiting for the other two but…

”I would enjoy that very much” she said smiling up at him.

Tev grins when he notices Myfanwy blush at the mention of their night together.
Feeling that they might be waiting in vain, Tev says, "Let's go on without them. They can catch up with us. If not then I'll have you take Galford and Hadrin on a tour of the Ranger Hall."
Tev takes her to the front of the Ranger Hall. There above the door is is an intricate wood carving of a Bald Eagle. It is so skillfully done that it has a life like appearance. "The Bald Eagle is the Symbol of the Narim Ranger Hall". Then they enter the Ranger Hall. Though it seems to not be possible, the inside walls appear to be a continuous piece of bare wood. The floor has the appearance of grass, yet it is smooth and solid. The tables and desks are wood and they give the appearance of having just emerged from the ground.
Overhead the ceiling is a profusion of holly with an intermingling of mistletoe.

Myfanwy grinned as they walked off without the other two. At least for the moment she had Tev to herself. As he pointed out the eagle she looked closely thinking how much it looked as if it would just fly away. Who ever had crafted it had to be a master of his art. Once inside the hall the sheer beauty of it captivated her. It was to all intents and purposes like being caught up in a piece of nature itself. The mistletoe brought a mischievous look to her face as she turned to face Tev

”At home if mistletoe were hung from the ceiling we would have to exchange a kiss “ she told him her face a picture of innocence as she watched his expression.

Myfanwy
As the tour of the Ranger Hall continues, Tev has to chuckle over Myfanwy's comment about the Mistletoe tradition back at her home. "Should we adopt that tradition here, you, Virgo and Gemini would be kissed several times a day by all the male Rangers. I doubt that we would get much work done here. So we will not have this tradition at the Narim Ranger Hall. "However just this one time show me just what you mean. What kind of a kiss would it be?"

[Galford Frostblade]

"Aye Aye Tev, here I come !" say Galford in loud tone.

"Whats the matter Tev, Iam just going into take a small nap before I hear my name flew away !"

Galford face suddenly change when he see that Myfanwy already present side by side with master Tev. In dispise voice....

"Ah, Myfanwy, not being late eh ?"

Myfanwy laughed outright as she listened to Tev saying nothing would get done if they kept the tradition of the mistletoe up but when he suggested that she show him just how a kiss should take place she felt that she just could not resist the temptation.

Reaching up she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek ”If you were one of my brothers that is how I would kiss you” she said as her arms went around his neck she pressed her body against his and whispered against his lips ”and this is how I would kiss someone that I was falling in love with…” as her lips made contact with his.

So engrossed was she that she failed to hear Galford at first. Blushing she pulled away from Tev and turned to face the new comer. ”I was just explaining an old custom from my home to Tev and no I wasn’t late at all Galford.” she said giving the young man a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes.

[Galford Frostblade]

"Yeah what ever....gross...!" say Galford to Myfanwy.

"Iam waiting in this corner Tev, you may proceed again with her, I dont want to interrupt somebody !"

After say that, in haste, Galford move his feet into one of the corner and began his meditating....

Galford
Tev is surprised by Galford's sudden appearance. He is even more surprised by his comments.
He responds to Galford, "I called for you because I want you here for training. I do not want you in a corner. Additionally, I do not need your permission to proceed.
"Explain to me what you meant when you said, "Yeah whatever....gross...!"

[Galford Frostblade]

"Nothing....nothing....just a child comment, nothing important Tev !"

"If you say so Tev, not in the corner is fine too !" say Galford with synical face.

With that, Galford move his butt back to the first place nearby to Myfanwy.

Galford
Tev nods in acknowledgement of Galfords comment and says, "Perhaps I misunderstood you".
They move on to the kitchen. There is a large fireplace with a built in oven. A large counter and table as well a sink are there. Tev demonstrates that there is running water at the sink. He says, "This is a feature that the Druids included for us".
Next they go to the Armory. Bows and arrows are the preponderance of weapons. Long Bows, War Bowsand Short Bows. The are also quite a few short swords, daggers and staves. Three halberds are in a corner.
"All these weapons are available for your use, but I suggest that you purchase your own as soon as you can. Using your own weapon will better enable you to become accustomed to it."
