[LOCATION] The Vertez Hall
One of the most visited buildings in Mystique was the Vertez hall, named after the wealthy benefactor who graciously built the hall for the use of the people of mystique. Although it's structure was generally plain and simple, built with plain oak wood, it had been maintained by the community, through the nobility that ruled over mystique, until they finally abandoned it. Now, so many patterns later, the 8th Legion took over the hall as a public service, and a way of establishing good relations with in their new home. Now it bustled with life. Cleaning, repair work, repainting, men standing guard to insure the safety of all that would make use of it.
The hall consisted of one large room, high ceiling, consisting of support beams for the roof. The walls were painted white, for general use. A notice board was on the far wall, facing the main double door entrance, 15 ft tall- for any race to enter. The doors themselves were of a more common wood, of poorer quality. They were green in color and quite plain to look at on their own although the first step before the door, an inscription read: 'Vertez Hall, my gift to the people who have given me so much'. Also in this main room, 10 meters long by 15 meters wide, there was a series of small platforms stuck together to make a simple stage. This served for many purposes, singers, bands, stage plays, speeches, news and many other things were discussed here at various times since it's construction. The stage had been used for each of these.
To the right side of the door, there was a counter with a shutter door designed to be open and closed on it. Behind it was a kitchen with a hand pump tap, and a water basin. There was also a deep well in there but instead of being used for water, the ropes and pulleys held a wooden platform used for goods that required cooling. These goods in the past included dairy products, wines and sometimes even fruits. This hole was quite deep and served quite well to maintain the products from the spoiling effects of heat. A small preparation table, an oven and a window were also in this room. The only door to the kitchen was linked to the outside of the hall. It was also made from the same common wood as the main door.
There were also a few other rooms, connected by a small door next to the stage. They were really miscellaneous rooms that had mirrors installed. They were used as collective change rooms for those who needed to 'dress' up for stage. There was also a chest full of costumes available to all at various occasions in one of the rooms. People were allowed to change into these costumes for some festivities that were organized at different times of the year.
And in the center of it all was a space large enough to hold both dances and dinning.
