Lilly LeFey comes to town.
Lilly finds herself wandering the streets aimlessly. She'd finally decided it was time to be on her own. Time to prove she wasn't just "an unfortunate accident of an unfortunate encounter." She'd been so small when she heard those whispered words, but they haunted her to this day. Mother had made her feel loved (to the point of oppression), but she knew she had to prove herself, to herself, if noone else. "And that's how I ended up here." she thought to herself. "One more rash decision to cover inadaquacey."
She knew over it all, it could be worse. Mystique seemed to be a beautiful town, for a town. Towers scraping the sky and capturing the attention and imagination. The scent of flowers is ever present without being overwhelming. Well placed trees and parks, made even a young elf feel more at ease. "This place was well planned." She talks to herself, but really, who else has she got to talk to? She's too new to know anybody, but she believes that'll change. She has so many plans.
That little hovel will just be a place to store things before long. Adventure calls. She'll be a master ranger someday, she knows it in her heart. Known the world over for her skills! She shakes her head and her own delusions. People pass her, so enveloped in themselves, she's not sure they even recognize a person or just an object in their path.
"Set the delusions aside Lilly." she says to herself. "One step at a time. Friends, contacts, training, maybe a job if necessary. Then adventure and glory.... Well, maybe on little adventure first if it happens to come along. There's no training like on the job training right?" Again she smiles to herself and shakes her head. She looks up and finds herself at the entrance to the park. "It's a good a place as any to sit and watch and maybe even meet someone." She says to herself and she wanders in drawn to the oddly harmonic mixture of peoples voices and the wind in the trees.
