Home, Sweet...What?
Bag dropped, Chit looked unhappily towards the innards of his newly acquired home. Whilst he expected modesty from his Katta brother, there was atleast the assumtion he had the comforts of furniture! A quick peek around a wall on the right revealed a single cot lying on an otherwise barren floor.
"Probably some sort of hay," Chit said quietly aloud.
'How could he have spent so much time here with not even the basic of necessities?' A sudden thought came to mind. 'Could the house have been emptied of it's entireties during the short time between my brother's untimely passing and my own arrival?'
After a quick walkthrough of the minimal living space, he returned to the door for his bag, not wanting his sole possessions to meet the same fate. With a slight sigh, the Cheetari placed the bag on the cot and delved into it in search of my few crowns. He split the money in half, leaving half of it scattered loosely in his bag, whilst the other was kept in the small money pouch. Money in paw, he headed out, sure to close the door behind him, although such an act was likely futile, seeing as how even a mere child could aptly enter at will. Looking down the near empty street, the slender Katta started his adventure with hopes of finding his way around the new town. 'I have some work to do before I can rest easy in such a place.'

Thirteenth Era Post Fractum, the Second Era of the Reign of Arabella
Paradigm: The Eclipse of the Sun__________________________________
The darkening was cold this night. Eldam sat in the dark tree, the moons barely visible through it's blooming branches. He watched a single hovel. Although the dark night made it difficult to see, his Kattarian eyes could see clearly enough. His golden eyes could be seen in the tree, one of the middle branches. He wore no shirt this darkening, allowing the cold through that gripped his chest. His smokey fur was warm enough, but as he put it, "The cold keepss the mind ssharp.". At his waist sat a red belt made of linen, with a sword protruding from his left hip. His white linen pants barely visbile below the pair of golden orbs.
His mane flew wildly in the wind as the Pantheri noticed some movement inside the house. Apparently his target was not completely empty. He was looking for some easy cash to help him and his band of thieves out a bit. Something small, not a heist. You know, fifty or sixty crowns. What was this? Eldam thought he saw a Cheetari in the home. A Katta eh? Eldam, although a thief, was not heartless. He would not rob a fellow Katta. He would meet this Katta, instead of robbing him. If he liked him, hey, a new friend. If not... Well, he did bring his rope and grapple with him, which would be useful to bind such a slim Katta.
He leapt down to a lower branch, causing some of the buds to fall from the tree, and be whisked away into the wind. He jumped again to the lowest branch, and finally silenty landing on the ground. His acrobatics training was paying off. Slowly making his way to the 'door' of the hovel, he looked around for any dangers. He knocked solidly on the door and waited patiently.

Nearly to the entrance of his new home, Chit was all but ready for the sudden rapping at the old worn door of wood. A slightly humurous thought came to his mind of the door falling from sudden shock of usage.
Quickly dispersing the wanderings of his mind, the spotted Katta opened his new home in anticipation of who may be visiting. There was a slight nagging of worry. 'Has someone followed me?' The paranoia was tossed aside as Chit took in the sight of the stranger.
"Cousin!" he gasped, a sense of shock overcoming him. Eyes widened, ears perked, tail still, the Cheetari stared, non-blinking, at the dark Pantheri. "What are you doing here?" he finally managed to stammer.

Cousin? Was he related somehow to this Cheetari? Maybe he meant in terms of race... Or maybe he was right mad. Either way, Eldam could not come to a conclusion until he found some answers.
"Coussin?" He muttered.
He cocked his head and looked strangely at the Cheetari, crossing his arms.
"Well I jusst haven't sseen you around Mysstique before. Thought I'd introduce mysself." Eldam said.
He flipped over a few things in his mind. The moons lit his form well in the doorway, a white light illuminating his body. His eyes looked beyond the Katta in front of him into his hovel, before returning their focus upon Chit.
"What'ss your name sstranger?" He asked.

Chit listened to the Pantheri, noticing the hint of confusion in his voice. He slightly shook his head. 'It is of no wonder,' he thought to himself, 'with his sudden outburst, the Cheetari would surely have stricken anyone's mind with a dilemma.
"My apologies," he said, with an ever slight bow. "My name is Chit. I am indeed new here." Standing straight, he attempted to come up with an explanation for his sudden outcry.
"I was slightly beside myself coming across another Katta in this city. I had heard it to be less than measly populated by our kind." Chit shifted his weight slightly. "You also remind me of a relative from days past."
Taking a quick look back, he sighed lightly. "I would invite you in, however, I am afraid I am more than just a little under-furnished as of yet."
