If you've never modded (on Aelyria) before it's probably not a bad idea to start off as an AGM though. Getting a feeling of how things work first and such

So based on these new rules for GM (not to mention the game changes which I love!! Its why i'm back!), I see nothing mentioned about having to have been n the game or returned to the game for a certain length of time. I am strongly considering applying for Kyathis but want to make sure that my having been gone for a while isn't weighed into the decision making process based on these new GM rules.

It might be weighed into the decision process, but it's not required to have been around recently to apply for GM.

Personally, if it is weighed in the acceptance process, then it should be stated. That would make the application process misleading.

Let me answer that one with an example. If, for example, someone had come back and forth a dozen times as a moderator and not given notice when leaving, etc etc, then we'd be foolish not to take that into account ~ not to say that would completely bar them from moderating again, but just so's you know, of course as human beings we take into account what we know..
That said, we do understand that Real Life rears its head ~ and does to us all... what we're looking for in a moderation application now is a real passion for the city, someone who wants to moderate - someone with a vision - that is the main important thing to the decision-making process.
Does that make sense / answer that?

Yes Fox it does. My question wasn't from a mod dissappearing act but from the perspective of an old player who's been gone a while but is excited for this new format. Not to mention being genuinely happy to see some returning face to the GD arena such as yourself and Caerydd.

Argo - ohhhh I see!! Well, I don't think that would be an issue, then - because we're assuming that if you apply it's cos you plan on staying.... so I think that'll have little or no influence.
And welcome back!

Dibon - nope - but you could be a GM of one city and guest mod in another - comes to the same thing.

But you can't have both GM and AGM attached to your mod account.
