1. Opening Address
Serale, recruit, and welcome to Narim's Military. First, we want to thank you for enlisting to our fine military. The Narim Military is one of flexibility. We aim to be able to deploy our military expertise in as many situations as possible, may the need for it arise.
This said, we also expect the members of our military to be as versatile as the whole army itself. We demand a great sense of responsibility and dedication from our members.
To conclude, I would like to say the following: if you work hard, show care for your fellow men and are proud of the military you represent, you are already on your way to become one of Alleria's finest. A Narim soldier.
2. Narim Military Training
Every recruit in the Narim Military has to go through basic military training. During this cycle of training, the recruits will receive basic fitness, a series involving conditioning so that every soldier is prepared and physically fit for what lies ahead. Basic dagger will also be taught, as a weapon for backup, in case that, for some reason, another weapon is required in the field of battle.
After this cycle the recruits who have successfully completed their basic training will be promoted to Private.
After their Basic Training, Privates can choose to join an outfit out of the list below. Some outfits will require successful passing of tests in order to be joined, and if an outfit is overstaffed, it will be unavailable for choice. 2. They are for military personnel to follow those of higher rank.
3. Those who abuse their position are subject to court-marshall.
4. Those who disobey their superiors for any reason are also subject to court-marshall.
5. Those who defect or desert are subject to disciplinary action.

Field ranks are individual positions with field responsibilities. These include patrolling, guarding, province development, errands and frontline combat.
Officer ranks are positions of leadership. Such positions involve teaching, intellect and administrative skills and responsibilities.
The military is answerable to those with honorary rank.
Those of higher rank have a responsibility to command, supervise, discipline, train and lead those below them.
Those of lower rank have a responsibility to obey, follow and defer to those above them.
Proper way to address those of higher station is sir or madam.
Proper way to address those of equal or lower station is by their rank, followed by their names at their discretion.
Orders and chain of command takes precedence over everything else, even personal feelings and motivations. Any problems or conflict of interest are to be resolved privately, never openly.
Promotions depend on:
- Skills in teaching, intellect or administration
- Experience/Performance of individual or team
- Level of education (one field rank per level of war skill)
- Contributions to the military, community, province or Empire
- Extraordinary/Exceptional circumstances
Punishments include:
- Light labour
- Average labour
- Heavy labour

- Exile on the pain of death
4. Military Etiquette:
Saluting
-To salute properly, bring up your right hand from the side of your body fully out and then up until the tip of your forefinger touches slightly to the right of your right eye.
-Turn your head and face the person you are saluting.
-The right greeting for any officer below the rank of Lieutenant Colonel is "Good morning/afternoon/evening sir/miss."
-The right greeting for any officer at or above the rank of Lieutenant Colonel is by their rank.
-It is perfectly acceptable to address them as "Sir" or "Miss" if you are unsure of their rank.
-You may not drop your salute until it has been returned, or the person is out of range/sight.
When to salute
-When the officer is on duty.
-Before and after you engage a conversation with an officer.
When NOT to salute
-If you are in civilian clothing, you do not salute. You merely stand in attention, face the person, and address them, as per rules above.
-If the officer is in civilian clothing, the same applies as per above.
-If you are in civilian clothing, and you are saluted, the same applies as per above, where you stand in attention, face the person, and address them.
Who not to salute
-Only officers receive salutes. No one else. Those with field ranks are required to salute any and all officers on duty and in military uniform.
-If you are an officer, you are only required to salute officers senior than you.
Who/How to greet
-While the above states clearly how to greet officers and superior officers, it doesn't not state clearly how to greet superiors who are not officers.
-It is customary to greet one's superior with "Good morning/afternoon/evening," without adding sir/madam if they are not officers. This is to show one's respect to your superior.
-To make things clear again, you NEVER salute a superior who is NOT an officer.
Pay Q & A (OoC):
*Pay happens on every sunday of an RL week. This is what we're going to consider a cycle, and you dont have to roleplay it out - just add it in.
*If you are a private in training, you still get paid as a private. The only time pay will be docked or discontinued is if you are AWOL, or take time off and the Commander informs you that this leave of absence will not be having pay over the leave.
