Thomas Ocean's Woodcraft Class (AGM Falconair)
Tom was up in good time for once. A squad had been taken out for early morning training training and one of the members had been good enough to wake him up as early mornings weren't Tom's best time. He groaned slightly rolling over. He sat up, rubbing his eyes. He grabbed a pair of trousers from beside his head and pulled them on, nearly falling over. He wandered into the wash room and washed his face and body. The freezing water helped wake him up a little more. He walked back into his dormitry and pulled on a shirt and coat. He slipped a small knife into his belt just incase and set off the University.
He nodded to the solitary guard as he passed the gate house and into the township around Midpoint. He quickly strode towards the University. He glanced up at the sun and saw he was pretty much ontime. He reached the university with time to spare. He approached the main desk where he'd inquired about the class before. He had his military ID in his hand just incase he needed to show it.
"Serale, I'm Thomas Ocean. I should being having a Woodcrafting classes with ermm, Professor Drungolth I think it is" he said. "Which room should I head to?" he asked.

Re: Thomas Ocean's Woodcraft Class (AGM Falconair)
The clerk, the same elven woman with braided hair from before, smiled. "Serale, Professor Drungolth is down the hall to room number 078." She didn't mention anything about the woodcrafter. Some would say he was, erm, obssessed with perfection. But that was the makings of a good instructor afterall.

Tom nodded. "Thank you," he said, giving a slight bow to the person behind the desk. He walked in the direction that had been indicated. He glanced at the numbers on the doors. He reached the door marked with a "078" and stopped outside. He knocked on the door a couple of times and then turned the knob, entering the room. Tom looked around,
"Professor Drungolth?" Tom asked.

At first glance, the room was void of all life. There were two long wooden tables on the left side of the class, both of which were scattered with metal tools, half-finished projects, and curls of discarded wood chips.
After Thomas had asked for the professor, a squat dwarf with a braided brown beard stepped from around the table - or, more correctly, siddled. He stared up at Thomas and gave a small whistle through his teeth, apparently used to people over-looking him.
"I'm down here yer galloot!" Alright, perhaps not the most personable dwarf that Thomas could have gotten for a teacher. None-the-less, he had a tanned hide around his waist, which had sewn pockets into it which harbored various tools. He glared up at Thomas, waiting for a statement of what the other wanted.

Tom forced the smile from his face. He'd always thought that dwarfs were really funny. Not their appearance, but the way they seemed to act larger-than-life and their cool accents. Tom had forced the smile away because in his experiance dwarfs didn't share his views and expressed themselves quite violently.
"Serale Professor," he said, bowing slightly. "I'm Thomas Ocean, I'm your new woodcrafting student." Tom's eyes flickered around the room looking at some of the unfinished projects. He wondered what exactly he was going to learn. Of course he knew it was making things out of wood, but it was what things that intrigued him.

((OOC: I'm not dead yet, promise. Feel free to PM me and kick me as a reminder. ;P ))
The dwarf grumbled something under his breath that sounded strangely along the lines of 'idiotic know-nothing humans' before sighing heavily.
"Alright you, what is it yer lookin' to learn?" He tapped his foot on the floor slightly, wanting this to hurry up so he could get back to work.
"And hurry it up with yer mind-makin', we don't 'ave all day."

OOC: No probs
"Maybe how to craft wood?" Tom thought to himself as the dwarf asked him what he wanted to learn. He shouldn't have been too taken aback though. When he had learned herbology, the professor had asked him what he would like to learn there. But this time, Tom wasn't too sure what he'd like to learn. He'd chosen woodcraft because it sounded like fun.
The dwarf seemed pretty impatient, so Tom made up his mind quickly. "Well, I was hoping to learn about carving, or maybe how to make furniture?" he said. "Whatever you thinks best for a beginner."

The dwarf gave an irritated sigh, shaking his head slightly. "You don't know nuthin' do yer?" He tapped his foot on the ground, less in impatience and more in thought.
"Wood carving I can teach yer. But furniture is a whole diff'rent thing." Again, the dwarf said something under his breath. And it was remarkably similar to, because some people have larger behinds than others.
The teacher paused in thought, mid-tap of his foot, and glared pointedly at Tom's chest. He was above having to look up to his students. "We'll need ter start with the basics. Have ya got yer tools?"

Tom grinned inside his head, imagining the upcoming situation. Tom didn't have any tools; he hadn't even thought to bring any. Tom wasn't too bothered at being talked down to by the dwarf; in fact he found it quite amusing, especially as the dwarf looked at his chest not his face. He didn't yet his amusement show through though.
"Well professor. It did cross my mind to bring some tools, but then I wasn't too sure what I'd need. I've never done anything like this you see. I don't even know a shop, which sells tools" Tom said, as nicely as he could. Although the dwarf's attitude was funny to Tom, he didn't want to make an enemy out of him.

The dwarven teacher scoffed slightly, then stroked his beard in thought. "Well, I guess yer can use what we've got in 'ere." He nodded once, as if agreeing with himself or making up Tom's mind for him in the situation.
"Right, well, come 'ere and we'll get started with yer lesson. No dawdlin', no stupid questions, an' keep yer fingers an' things away from the blades when yer cutting." The professor sliddled over behind a table, and then proceeded to grow a few inches - or at least it appeared that way. To be more correct, he walked up a set of wooden stairs behind the counter so he was the same height as Tom.
The dwarf tapped his foot on his wooden staircase to the wood-working table, waiting for Tom to comply.
((I'm not dead, still. ;p ))
