Stein The Silver Daggers Tavern and Inn (Self-Mod)

Self-Mod

Loyal to: Brotherhood of the Wolf
Guards: None

Near the end of the long mercantile strip of Riparia sat one of the newer additions to the industrious city, the Silver Dagger. The outside of the building was made completely from wood painted a light brown and with a foundation and cellar of grey stone, all from nearby forests and quarries. Hanging from a small pole sticking out from beside the always open wooden door hung a wooden sign, one displaying a pair of daggers crossed over each other with a frothy mug of ale painted underneath them.

Once inside, people would realize just how friendly of a place the building was. On the left hand side was the bar with a total of seven wooden stools lining it on the outside. On the inside stood an average looking human with a smile painted on his face, seeming to be constantly cleaning a glass mug with the cloth in his hand. Behind the man was several rows of glasses and various kinds of alcohol along with the swinging door that led to the kitchen where the chef was constantly preparing food that rarely got complaints and even more rarely got sent back. On the right hand side was a roaring hearth, adding to the warm feeling of the tavern. Near the end was a spiraling stair case that led up to the average rooms and then down to the cellar where the supplies were stored. And in the back was the door to the stables which could be rented to people with the need for somewhere to keep an animal, for a price of course. Circulating the room were two twin woman of about 18 in human years, both of elven descent. Each had light brown hair, one that wore it going about halfway down her slender back and the other wore it tied up so that the customers could better tell them apart. Both woman were very attractive, beutiful by most races standards, and both woman were both also very open with what they thought, not afraid to tell a drunk to back off. If the drunk had crowns then of course, that was a completely different issue. As twins they could usually make a night quite pleasurable for most men.

However, despite how open and friendly the place seemed, it was all just a mask to hide what truly went on in the building and to keep the city guards away. This was a place for rogues and other people that were less then respectful of the law and its enforcers. If one looked closely enough, then they would see this very clearly. Drug selling, information selling, and gang recruiting were not an uncommon thing in the building. Seated at one of the tables sat a small group of men with a deck of paper cards and a small pile of crowns in front of them, along with a few women hoping to bed the winner standing behind them. Even the two waitresses had been instructed by the partial owner of the tavern and inn to keep an ear out for any information or rumours that they might hear.

This was a place of opportunity, one that was looking to steal away the business of the other taverns within the city as quickly as it could.

Sitting atop the bar counter, propped up by a wooden frame was the pirce list. Next to the price list, standing up in the same way as the other, was a list of events that would be held, offering even more opurtunities to the costumers of the tavern. Anybody could have their event put in the place after talking with the bartender and after him and possibly the tavern owners deciding that it was actually worth anything, and after the person payed a small price of course.

Have your event hosted here, ask employees for information.

All Welcome!!!!

Inside the tavern could be heard the noise and laughter coming throughout the wooden door with the force of a large group of men. Drunks hobbled out of the wooden door, some occasionally accompinied by the tavern wenches that always seemed to be around the place. Inside the place was as busy as a new tavern could be, with people ordering as much food and ale as they could eat, the rooms almost all rented out for the night for the peoples special needs. It was all signs of one thing. There was a party happening.

Yes, to celebrate the grand opening of the city's newest tavern, the Silver Daggers tavern let the celebration begin, offering free food, free drink, rooms for that one night at half price, all until either they ran out of the initial supplies or everybody got tired and left. By the looks of it so far, it was pretty easy to say that they would run out long before everyone left.

The crowd roared with laughter and sounds of good times. The talking became loud, each individual person wanting to be heard over the roar of the crowd. The place was filling up and running out quickly.

All the while, one of the few orcs (when compared to the other races) in the city sat alone at a table in the middle, enjoying a tankard of ale. He raised the foaming tankard up to his dark lips, beginning to pour the liquid down his parched throat. It had been a while since he had simply enjoyed himself like this. The orc smiled as he recalled his first visit to an actual tavern, the visit that had started it all and had put him at the head of the Brotherhood of the Wolf and had allowed him to secure half of his ownership over the tavern. At the table beside his sat his two trusted and skilled bodyguards, each keeping a close eye on the place and ready to stop any fights as soon as they satrted. Their boss would be profiting off of how well this place went, and they knew very well when the orc had money, then they would more usually be in more pleasant positions.

Urck gripped the handle of the tankard tightly with his dark green fingers wearing leather gloves, taking another large gulp, feeling it burn on its way down before placing the tankard back on the wooden table. The orcs black eyes began to roam the room, looking around, hoping to spot somebody interest. But even if he did not see anybody interesting, he was still here to relax in one of the few cities in the empire that would allow an orc to do so. And much like the city that it was in, the Silver Daggers was open to all races.

Thokk is an upstanding Citizen
Thokk had come to this town not long ago, he had spent various amounts of money already, he had an apartment now and recieved some training. Now his goal was to make some money, and to do this he had to meet people. And a good place to meet people was a tavern, especially one that just had a grand opening.

Thokk entered the Silver Dagger tavern in hopes of meeting someone. When he entered he noticed the bartender, the various bar wenches, and the amounts of people filling the chairs and filling their mouths with ale. The only thing that stood out most to Thokk was an orc sitting at a table by himself. Why? why is this orc choosing not to join the party? he thought to himself. He had to find out, maybe this would be a person he could meet and could lead to finding work or something.

Thokk went to the counter to grab a cup of ale and noticing they were free on this occasion he grabbed too, as the Orc's drink seemed to be getting low.

Taking the two drinks over to the orc's table he began to speak when he was close enough to be audible. He set the drink infront of the orc and began.

"Noticed your drink was getting kind of low there. Do you mind if i join you, i dont really know many people here yet?" Thokk waitied for a reply.

Urck sat at the table, enjoying the spectacle of the people celebrating the opening of the tavern. He continuously looked around the place, searching for somebody more then just the common folk that seemed to be everywhere in the large city. Those common people were of no use to him, he wanted to find somebody that he could actually do something with. The orc looked over to where the card games were being played, considering going over there and testing his luck against the now three humans that were playing there, or maybe getting with one of the wenches. His thoughts though were interrupted as his table was approached by a human, and a large one at that, one who was easily a foot taller then Urck himself.

This was something unexpected happening, the orc had not anticapated anybody actually coming over to speak with him. WHat the man could want was beyond him, for he doubted that the human even knew who he was. He had expected to find somebody and then go to speak with them, not somebody coming to speak to an orc on there own. But then, this was not necessarily a bad thing, Urck figured, noting the mans large stature and the sword that hung on his waist about the same size as Urck's. He looked over to his two bodyguards that sat at the other table, to find them the slightly larger one watching him, although doing a good job not to make it obvious, while the other kept an eye on his employers tavern. A brief nod from the one watching him indicated that the man knew that the human was there and was prepared for the unexpected. Should the unexpected meeting turn out for the worst.

Urck looked up at the human then down at the drink curiously. How could he trust that the man had not poisoned it or had done something else to the ale inside that would offer any unpleasant results. The orc quickly drained his own, setting the mug to the side of the table as he listened to the humans words.

Even though Urck did not even know who this person was, he began judging the man the moment that words began to come from his mouth. Friendly. Urck thought, feeling slightly disappointed in the first trait that had shown itself in the mans first words towards him. Friendship was something lost on the orc, having never truly felt it. He considered it a weakness when expressed so openly, not being able to figure out just why somebody would become allies with another with no thought for personal gain. But he decided that he might as well save that judgement for later, perhaps there was something else behind the humans words and perhaps, hopefully, he had not come over here for just idle chatter with the ever desiring orc. Polite. Urck thought, noticing how the human did not simply sit in the wooden chair but instead asked for permission. Smart? The orc silently asked himself, looking at how the man had brought an ale for Urck along with him to further his chances of being liked, even if the ale was free. Of course, Urck decided to let that last trait hang in the air, knowing that intelligence is one of the most useful traits a person can have. One that he was not about to slap on to somebody that he had just met.

"I should thank you, I guess." Urck replied, not having to look over to the table where his bodyguards sat to know that they were watching, he took the mug of ale that had been sat down in front of him and a dark green and wrapped in a brown leather glove and brought it up to his dark green lips, taking a few small drinks before setting it back down on the table lightly and bringing up his other hand to wipe off any liquid left on his face. Becoming drunk did not worry Urck, for he knew that he could take a lot more alcohol until he became drunk or sick. Yet another gift that his dark race had given him.

The orc looked up at the human and motioned with a movement of his hand to the chair opposite to him, offering him the seat. "So, human, tell me. Who are you and what brings you to this far from fair city?" Urck asked out of honest curiosity, deciding that he might as well learn as much as he could from the man.

Thokk had given the drink to the orc who seemed fairly pleased, that he atleast hadnt the need to get up and get another for himself at this time. Thokk glanced the room, never really knowing what would happen as he still did not know this city very well. The tavern seemed fairly decent thus far.

Thokk could tell in the expressions the orc used that he was not sure who Thokk was, and why would he...not many people knew Thokk yet but hopefully that would soon change. Thokk had not noticed the body gaurds who had apparently done a good job hiding themselves from any people looking.

Thokk took up the chair that was offered, sat and had a gulp of his ale, set it down, and extended his arm to shake the orc's hand as a sign of appreciation for a possible friendship.

As he shook the orc's hand he began to speak again. "They call me Thokk" Having said they he kind of puzzled himself as he hadnt met many people so there really was no they in his life at the time.

"I came to this city in hopes of starting a new life, maybe some financial gain..." Thokk was not very well off at this time but he had some money that he wanted to gain more of. "I am currently looking for a job to further this financial gain, but its hard in a city where you know few people"

"And what about you sir, what do you do?" Thokk grabbed his ale and had another drink

Teyala is an upstanding Citizen
There have been many that have said nothing in the world is free, and if by chance one should happen upon an exception, then they should tackle it with great vigor. How true this was, as rumor of a new addition to the merchantile district and echoes of free food and drink came along to the roaming Relequis whom often perused the streets of the area after her training and practice sessions were complete. In the distance she could hear the cries of excitement and a few people stumbling into and out of the establishment, or so it seemed. Obviously quite a few folk had learned of the grand opening, along with the amazing specials on rooms, food, and ale.

It had been some time since the Relequis first came to Riparia, and she had learned a good share of skills thus far, including martial arts under the tutilage of Master Jin. More then likely she would be retreating back to Natura shortly in order to persue her learnings as a Spellsinger, but in the meantime she couldn't pass up the oppertunity to enjoy the freeness of the Silver Dagger Tavern and Inn, especially since it wouldn't last long.

Moving gracefully past the long legs of the taller folk, and manuevering between the bodies of the other individuals of the Tavern, Teyala managed to eventually get her way up to the bar area. More then often she traveled and ate along, so taking up a table was pointless. On her she wore the strangely crafted Relequis armor, though it was far from the elaborate and encumbering suits some others wore. Still she wanted to get used to it's feeling, especially if she would be wearing it on adventures and traveling in the future, and so she wore it now. From her pouch she removed her notebook and quickly noted down the newest establishment, like she did with all places of interest.

Getting the attention of the barkeep, whom seemed to be quite occupied, she spoke in a squeaky voice, "Serale there, nice place you got here." she said, taking a moment to glance around at the surroundings, "I came in to welcome this place to Riparia, and get something to eat. Think I could get an order of the large meal? But ah...can you just replace the meat with more vegetables?" Like those of her race, she was not fond of meat in it's entirety, though she had the ability to digest it, it was a natural occurance that her people strayed away from it, "Oh, and do you happen to have Cidre Doux?" She then noted her use of Jaedaxian dialog and realized some people may not have understood what she was asking for, "Soft Cider, that is."

Thokk

Urck watched as the human set down his ale and extended a hand, the orcs black eyes containing no white stared hard at that hand for a moment, wondering just what he would be agreeing to by shaking the hand. If the man wanted friendship from the orc, then he would find none. Glancing up from the outstretched hand an into the eyes of the human, Urck sighed and played along, putting out his hand and shaking that of Thokk's, his grip strong, before leaning back in his chair with the ale in his, raising it up to his lips for another small sip, enjoying the flavour even though he knew that he could just get more if he wanted it, whether the party ended or not that was one of the perks to owning your own tavern.

Thokk. Urck thought as he released the mans hand, matching a name with the face and body. "So far it has been a pleasure to know you." Urck replied, putting an emphasis on the words 'so far'. He had brought him ale and saved Urck some time, and so far nothing bad had happened between them, the orc could only hope that it would last.

"Thokk." he repeated, looking at the human, "You would not happen to have a last name or any family?" Urck asked. He knew very well that any bit of information was good. He had made a fair deal of crowns already through selling what he knew, so he figured that it would be a good idea to know a lot, no matter how insignificent it might be, there would always be somebody willing to pay for it.

"So you come seeking a job." Urck said, suddenly finding himself more interested in the human, leaning forward in his chair and over the table, resting his long green arms on its wooden top. "Well, I can tell you that you have come to the right place. Just what kind of job might you be looking for?" Urck asked. He felt that he could offer the human nearly anything for whatever he was interested in. He was always on the lookout for new skill to add to the ranks of the Brotherhood of the Wolf, or maybe simply an ally. The man could even probably make a good bodyguard himself judging by his large frame. Thokk had caught the orcs attention with one simple sentence, but where the conversation went next was up to the large human and his reply to Urck's question.

Teyala

The bartender looked over at the small creature, raising up his index finger to show that he would be there in a moment. The human took care of the nearest customer, offering a shrug and a sorry expression on his face. After saying a few more words that could not be heard over the noise of the crowd, the customer walked off to a wooden table, passing by Teyala as he went and calling out to a young woman that they were already out of the duck.

"Ah, serale and fine brightening, missy. Name's John, now, what can I help you with?" The bartender asked Teyala, setting down his mug for now and placing both hands on the bar counter, leaning in closer to the lady so that he could better hear her squeaky voice. A warm smile was painted on his lightly freckled face. "Thank you very much for the compliment, but this is not my place, I merely work here, but thank you anyways." The man said in response, listening to the relequis's order. "Yes, we can do that, it'll save some of our meat anyways so it's no problem at all." John replied before walking off to the swinging doors that led to the kitchen, yelling out to whatever chefs that were back there to prepare a large meal and to replace the meat with more vegetables for his newest customer.

"Soft Cider, now there is something you don't hear ordered often." The man said, knowing that most people usually just ordered an ale and left it at that. "We do have a small amount, though not much. 'Tis one of my personal favorites. You have good taste missy." The man replied just as one of the very attractive waitresses went into the kitchen and came out with the plate with mostly vegetables among others. She looked over at John, who pointed over at Teyala, and walked over, hips swaying and showing off all of her good looks on her way, setting the still steaming plate in front of the rodenti, right before John set down the soft cider.

"So, what brings you to Riparia, seeking anything in paticular or just coming to visit?" John asked curiously, looking down the bar, the pleasurable site of all of the people sitting at it enjoying their meals and no new orders coming in.

The orc had hesitated with the hand shake. This actually made Thokk have alittle more respect for the orc. He obviously was being very cautious about what was going on,and Thokk knew that caution was an assest.

"Family you say, I have none, I was orphaned and abandoned, so for a last name i am unsure." With that Thokk drank some more of his ale.

Thokk was currently training for his new longsword, he wanted to become something of a weapon master. He wanted to learn the ways of the sword and exploit these ways. But at the same time he didnt want to be pushed around by some person who thought he was strong because of the amount of crowns he carried. Thokk wanted to just be a mercenary for the time being until he could afford this own lifestyle and his own business.

"You say ive come to the right place..is that so?" This orc seemed like he was somewhat of a business man or something cause obviously he knew where work could be found. "Well Sir, at the moment im just a simple mercenary for hire, i have some skill with the sword, but am also recieving more" Thokk had another quick drink and began again "I work for crowns, the addition of an ally is a plus, but the real gain is the pay off"

So the human has no family, too bad. Urck thought, making a mental note of the fact. He felt somewhat disappointed that the man had no relitves, finding himself trusting and liking the people with a bloodline more then the ones without obe. People generally did not differ much from their family, as the apple does not rot far from the tree, so an ally with a family not only gave you one man, but the possibility of bringing any siblings or other relatives into it as well. And if the person betrayed him, then it left open Urck's favorite way of getting back at somebody, killing of their closest friends and family one by one so that they were given time to suffer, so that they knew that they had brought the death upon their closest people, so that they knew just how large of a mistake that they had made. And probably most importantly, so the others knew not to become close with any potential traitors.

Urck was not too much different then Thokk himself. Except the orc was not seeking crowns, he had come by those through some creative dealing, he sought power. The orc was willing to do anything for the power that he so desired. The reputation of the orc had gone down far too low for the orcs liking, he wanted to raise it back up, to inspire fear into even the cold hearted vysstichi when they saw an orc. He wanted to lead himself and eventually his entire race to the peak of its power. It did not matter how many men died in his path or how many enemies that he made, he pined for the power.

"So you name yourself as a mercenary." Urck said. He currently had a total of twelve mercenaries working for him, and they had all performed wonderfully in all of the tasks that he had given them, so there was no doubt in his mind that this man could become a good ally or even a potential member. "Well in that case, I suggest that we move to a quieter place so that we can talk this over more." Urck replied getting up from his seat. "I will be right back, wait here." Urck said, walking over to the bar and giving a quick nod to the relequis sitting there before informing the bartender that he would be taking on of the rooms. The man got out a key from under the counter and handed it to Urck after saying a few things. The orc then returned to the table and brought the mug to his lips, draining the liquid and setting it back on the table, knowing that one of his elven waitresses would pick it up on the way by.

"Come with me an we can talk more." Urck said to thokk, motioning for his two guards to also follow. If the man chose to follow, then with that, the orc led the human towards the large, wooden spiral staircase and up to the top floor where the rooms were. He stopped at one door in the single long hallway and inserted the key, turning the lock and entering, holding the door open for Thokk and his two guards before shutting and locking the door behind them, each of the guards standing on either side of the wooden door.

Urck walked into the middle of the room, turning around to face Thokk. "Serale again, mister Thokk. Allow me to introduce my two trusted guards, Wallace and Stanton." Urck said, each of the two humans nodding as their names were mentioned. "And I am the owner of the Tavern, but more importantly, the leader of the Brotherhood of the Wolf" Urck said, holding his arms out wide to reveal the impressive suit of chaimail armor, the sacbbord containing his deadly kriss and the sai that hung at his waist. It was rare that the orc found himself speaking of the Brotherhood of the Wolf so openly, as to his knowledge, none of his enemies really knew who he was or who the gang was.

" Now, onto business." The orc began, returning his hands to his sides and looking at Thokk. "You say that you are looking for work, so I shall offer you some 'Nalt Ash.' We are always looking for new talent, and I would like to add you to the ranks of our gang. But why join me, you might ask. Well, for one you said that you were in longsword training, my guess is that it is draining you from crowns that could be put to a better use elsewhere. I can offer you this longsword training among many other types of training for free. Anything that we work as a team to do, we split the pay equally. If you are ever in need of crowns, you can borrow. You will always have our protection over you should you decide to make some crowns yourself. But most importantly, once we control a city, anybody within our ranks will be very greatly rewarded. Just tell me just what it is that you need and I will tell you that we can get it. What say you?" Urck asked, putting the human on the spot.

Teyala is an upstanding Citizen
"Well hello then John, I'm Teyala." she responded in kind with an introduction while he went about giving her order up to the waitresses. "Thanks, I'm not big on meat myself, so we'll both be getting the better part of the favor." the Relequis mentioned. She wasn't too suprised to find out that John didn't own the place, it wasn't too often that she actually got to meet the owners of establishments unless they were family owned and in smaller towns and cities. "Ohh, alright. I would have never guessed, ah well....I wonder if the owner is around, since it's the big grand opening and all." Then again, she also knew that some folk owned strings of taverns, and often didn't have the time to partcipate in yet another one's grand opening, with all of the others to look after.

Teyala grinned brightly as the Barkeep spoke of the Soft Cider, it was one of her personal favorites as well. She wasn't very big on alcohol, and that particular type of cider capitalized on sweetness and taste, rather then the strong bite that other ciders had. It had been a long time since Teyala was able to find a Tavern with it, though Jaedaxia had it in abundance back when she lived there. It seemed outside of the City of Arts walls, the most common drinks were stronger ales and spirits. Things with a bit too much burn on the throat for a Rodenti like Teyala. "Great, it's pretty hard to find out here, keep it in stock and I'll be visiting quite often." she said with a chuckle, although she was very serious. There were plenty of Taverns to choose from in Alleria, but the ones that kept a favorite food, drink, entertainment, or person of the people would be the ones most visited.

"Me?" she began, "I'm out here to learn mostly. Came from way off on the East Coast to learn Zinn'ka, since I heard it was taught here. In fact I'm currently under the tutilage of Master Jin in the style of Shaasshka, very interesting stuff. I also wanted to visit Natura. Beautiful place, I've got to say." she nodded, taking a long swig of her sweet cider. With the plate set in front of her she picked up her utensils and began to dig in. Her furry cheeks puffed out as she stuffed forkfuls of food into her mouth, and amazingly while she chewed off in the sides of her cheeks she could still speak unimpeded, "I've also come here to learn about Herbalism as well, and possibly expand my knowledge of Song Magic." she added while washing down her food with another swig of cider.

Thokk was motioned to follow the orc to a different, more quite room. Whats the harm, if this man wanted to kill me he would have already, and hes talking about business, this is definately worth talking about

Thokk followed as did two of the orcs gaurds. Well if this was an ambush Thokk was prepared, as they walked he gripped his longsword under his cloak lightly, just incase the time came where he had to use it.

When they approached the room the orc opened it and proceeded in. He introduced his gaurds, who nobbed at the mention of their names. The orc then began to show off his armour and weapons, no doubt impressing Thokk. He also stated that he was the owner of the tavern and also leader of the brotherhood of the wolf gang.

The orc began to tell Thokk about membership into thus gang. He offered it, and no doubt seemed very persuasive. In a matter of minutes Thokk was offered power, wealth, membership into this gang, protection, and obviously an ally, but some things still did not seem right to Thokk.

The immediate thought, What happens when i dont wanna be in the gang anymore? Either way it was an oppurtunity that he could no doubt pass up at this time.

"What say I you ask...." Thokk trailed off from the topic as he keep repeating thoughts in his head power, wealth, protection
"Well sir for now i say, what job shall you have me do?"

John placed one of his hands on the bar top, leaning his fair sized body upon it as he kept a watchful eye over the room and especially the bar section, pleased to see the crowd of people enjoying themselves. Though he knew that the place would be making no money tonight, and knowing that his pay would be the same no matter how many people came in, the bartender was pleased to see the place filled up. The people kept the boredom away and his job secure, as well as the fact that more people meant more good tips.

"The owner is around here somewhere..." The man said, surveying the area in search of the orc that owned the place. "Ah, there he is." John said, pointing at the spiral staircase that led up to the inn section of the building where a orc led three humans up, one of which appearing quite tall, standing a full foot higher then the orc and more then half a foot higher then the other two humans.

"I imagine that it would be." The bartender said concerning the cider, "Not many people can appreciate the finer taste, it's always ale or some other strong liquid, most people won't even give it a chance due to the low acholic content. Of course, if we continue to make it, the price may be slightly high because not many will drink it, but perhaps some nice cheese to go along with it will do nicely." John said, his mouth beginning to water slightly as he imagined the soft, slightly amber liquid entering his mouth. The man quickly swallowed and stop imagining things, suddenly remembering that he had a job to do here.

The man watched amused as the rodenti put the food into her cheeks, still continuing to talk normally without any chewed up food. A wide smile spread across the mans face, it had been a long time since he had last enjoyed the pleasures of simple chatter, having been out of a job for quite some time now. It was then that he began to realize just how much he truly loved this job and all of the unique people that he met everyday.

"Hmm, must've gotten that Zinn'ka at the re-opened Circle of Seven, huh." The man remarked, knowing very well that since the place opened, a large quantity of people on the streets slowly started to become more and more dangerous. "Doubt that you would be able to find any training in song here. Most riparians are not interested in the arts, or most just don't show it for fear of being mocked by the tougher people of today. Tell me though, just why would you like to get the song training, aren't there more powerful spheres of arcana, or are you looking for just general singing training?" The man asked, perhaps he could help the relequis in her search a little, or at least find somebody who could. His job as a bartender allowed him to meet a great deal of people, there must be somebody who came in here that knew of somebody else offering that type of training.

Thokk

Urck listened as Thokk began speaking, feeling amused as the human paused, the tension inside him coming up as he wondered just what the mans answer would be. If he turned him down, then he and both of his very skilled guards would have to attack, the man knew to much for them to simply allow him to walk out of there alive and with all of the information in his head. Urck had worked too hard in covering up all of his tracks with layers upon layers of lies, making sure that nobody in the city knew who the leader of the small gang was, and only a few even knew that it was an orc. But Urck felt confident that that would not happen, as he had not even mentioned his own name to the human and did not plan to anytime soon.

"excellent." Urck replied somewhat enthusiastically, a wide smile forming through his green lips onto his thin (for an orc) face. "Well then let us get started right away. Shortly, I plan on starting up our, er, Caravan Trading business." He began in a somewhat hushed tone, taking a step closer to Thokk so that he could hear his words, if only barely. "I plan on taking out a few other men, yourself included, and earn ourselves a few trade carts, goods, and some crowns. It will be a good start for you, may even get to know a bit of how we fight. But that will not be for a few cycles. Until then." He began, getting out a small pouch that had been hoked onto his belt on the back, concealed by the expensive cloak made from the fur of a winter wolf and lined with sheeps wool. Out of the pouch the orc pulled out a simple iron key, such as the one that you would find to fit into the lock on a door. "I would like you to first go to the Paragon Armory and see if Fred, the smith there, can make a copy of it. Any crowns that you have to use I will make sure that you get back. Once you have that copy, I want you to keep one and attempt to sell the other on the streets or somewhere else. It is the key to a three room house in the residential part." With that, Urck paused and listed off the address for his previous home. "unfortunately I no longer have the deed to the place. If you can sell the key to get inside and practically own the home, I will let you keep half of what you get for it, as I was the one that aquired it in the first place and you are merely selling it. Under no circumstances are you EVER to mention the name 'The Brotherhood of the Wolf' while attempting to sell the key. If you do I will find out. Also, I want you to ask around and see if anybody knows anything important on 'The Brotherhood of the Wolf', I do not care if the people simply know that we exist, but if anybody knows anything such as who the leader is or anything like that, I want you to have them meet with me here at this tavern. Promise them crowns for the information or something." Urck said as he finished speaking and giving out the directions that he wanted the man to do. He had been curious for quite some time if he could get anything for that key, suspecting that at least somebody would know that people did not simply come up to somebodys door and ask for a deed. If you had the key you could live there, as long as nobody else started to move in. But let them worry about that.

Thokk listened as the orc simply told him what his future plans where. He wanted to start up a caravan business. Didnt sound all that exciting to Thokk, but whatever paid bills he supposed. Thokk was kind of dissapointed with this gang thus far, he assumed his first job would be an assassination attempt that would either kill someone else, or himself. He was actually fairly relieved but still dissapointed.

So his assignment was the get a key made, sell a house, and seek information. This really struck him as odd, why would he need a key to a house he was trying to sell? Why were they selling a house that had no deed, and why not hire an informant or something instead of making his hired people do such tasks. And thinking to himself, Thokk began to think this orc to be paranoid, he was the leader of a gang and didnt want anyone to know it, and wanted anyone who knew it killed.

"Wow Wow Wow, just a second before we jump into all this i have a few questions for you...The first is how many people are actually apart of this gang?"

"That's right..." the Relequis commented while eating, with her short stature her oversized Rodent-like feet didn't even touch the floor from her seat, "...The facility here is pretty famous, especially the Zinn'ka trainers from what I hear. Plus it was right in the area I wanted to visit, so it all worked out fairly well." From what she had gathered from her current Master in the Zinn'ka arts, Jin, she felt he was quite a capable individual, even if she hadn't a clue what exactly he was, Human or otherwise. Still, under his tutilage she could forsee herself becoming many times more able to protect her friends then she was now. And with all of the strange occurances she had seen of late, becoming stronger almost seemed like a prerequisit.

"I didn't really think I'd find Song here in Riparia, but it's my goal to find it within Natura. I think, from what I've heard from my friends, there very well may be a place there that teaches the Art, although I think it's kept fairly a secret for some odd reason." Teyala really couldn't foresee the reason behind the apparent secrecy. It was her belief that such a wonderful art should have been free for all manners of people to learn, not just a select few whom either got lucky enough to find an instructor, or merely had the time to hunt one down.

"Well..." she began her explaination behind her desire to learn the majestic intricacies of Song, "...I already know the most basic level. But really, while Song is possibly the apparent weakest of the other Arts, it has a few advantages that make it very appealing to me." Teyala took a moment to chew down some food and wash it back with a nice long gulp of Soft Cider before she continued her chat with the Bartender, "First, it is by far the easiest out of any Arcane Art to learn, and since my people don't have the best attention for difficult things, it enables me to learn it at a decent pace. Next, it can effect many people with no extra effort. I'm learning it to help protect people, and it's ability to effect many people at once, instead of just me or another person is a great benefit. And finally, possibly the most substantial, it is the only Arcane art where a person can Master both the Art, AND Master a Combative skill."

It sounded like the Relequis had a fairly good understanding of Song Magic, or at least she had done her homework about it. Of course, she had her purchased books from Primus Gaudeo to help her out, and she admitted that she learned a great deal from those texts, "Of course, it has it's many disadvantages as well. But also, I originally wanted to become a Musician one day, and so myself and Song got together very well. We had something of an immediate understanding."
