[Location] The Sugar Tooth Candy Shop
-=| The Sugar Tooth Candy Shop |=-
Description:
A magnificent view is seen from the outside of this shop, especially for the youth of Alleria Prime, or those with a sweet tooth. The view that attracts these people is threw the small glass window at the front of the shop showing a beautiful setup of candies, cakes and cookies, though rarely is it ever the same layout or even candies twice. A little sign above the door read “The Sugar Tooth”
Inside was a whole different story, there were cakes, candies pies, anything sweet that filled shelves and were behind counters or in jars. The smell of cooking sweets often made the place that much more enjoyable, the owner was smart with what she cooked. When they needed to cook something that didn’t smell good they made something that smelt good and had a strong smell at the same time as to make the shop smell good. Though there were things that smelt too bad, but those they cooked at night.
The front area was big enough for 3 or 4 people to be in at one time plus owner behind the counter. Every so often there would be someone different at the counter when things were busy but they were not a full time employee, usually a younger person who she asked if they would mind watching the store for a few candlemarks while she worked in the back. It did get busy sometimes, though her cakes were not the traditional ones that were bought at the bakery there were sometimes orders of them.
It was a small shop, but it was known for it’s excellent candies and treats. They were especially known for it’s maple sweets and cakes. The back of the store is much larger than it would appear from the outside, it is filled with all sorts of candy making equipment.
A large sign is posted behind the counter that reads Handfuls are only for children. Scoops are available for those above the age, or those with exceptionally small or large hands. Thank you

The two pixies had just arrived in Alleria Prime from their journey to Aslans’ Forge, and they were tired. Well the real Antin was, the clone never got tired nor did he ever sleep or eat. However at the sight of a candy shop the ‘real’ Antin perked right up and smiled as did the other Antin. He still shared the feelings that the other Antin had and that meant that candy meant happiness. So off they flew towards the stores stopping at the window to look at all of the sweets on display.
Suddenly it wasn’t exhaustion that plagued Antin rather it was his grumbling stomach for candy and his sweet tooth (pun intended). Though his sweet tooth was nothing compared to his friend Odyleons it was still there and he enjoyed eating many many sweets until his stomach hurt. If only they had the crowns for it. Ah what the heck. Going inside couldn’t hurt, get a smell for what was around and all that.
So in they snuck threw the open door and into the shop. Both Antins looked around in amazement, it was a beautiful place for candy, there was some everywhere and the smell of it cooking was more than the pixie could handle. They both flew around the shop slowly looking at the rock candy that would last them a very long time, caramel, and maple blocks, peppermints, ahh this place was heaven.
Another thing the two noticed that there was only one older woman that was working the store front. She seemed to be energetic but also worn out. Together the two went over to her. ”Serale! How are you this brightening? This is a very nice shop we like it very muchly” Antin told her.
”Mmm, is that candy we smell cooking? Do you make it yourself?” asked the clone Antin excitedly. There was no way of telling one apart though and they were both very enthusiastic and generally happy just to be in the store.

5th Cycle of Immanis Spring XIV PF
Theying was looking for something to send home. Marguerite had been against this trip from the beginning, and was still quite unhappy that he had left their home in Jaedaxia for an extended period of time. The young man really wanted something to smooth everything to smooth things over, if that was at all possible. He had already ordered fine glassware from a place in Tearsfall, but that hadn't done the trick. So, he needed something else.
It was some kind of strange coincidence that he was just pondering that question when he came by this place called "The Sugar Tooth". It was perfect. Candy, that would be a good thing to send as a gift would it not?
The master herbalist meandered into the store. It was different than he expected, much smaller and more crowded. Yet it fit the character of the place. In any event, time to get to business.
"Excuse me," the young man inquired. "But what do you have that travels well?"

Silka hurried out the door of the Silk Leaf. "And don't forget to fetch the Maple candy." Rubbing the back of her neck, she took in the fresh air deeply. It had been a long time since she had been out. Working in The Silk Leaf had been hard. She still wondered when the Misstress had time to continue her training. Now she had to get food for the whole company. Crossing more streets and nearly crashing into a Dorin, she made her way up to the Surgar Tooth, Misstress's favorite candy store. Walking inside the shop, she marveled at the room. An elderly woman walked upo to her and Slika handed her a note;
She then gave the woman 20 crowns exchange for 20 boxes of candy. "Thank you," she muttered as she put them in two bags and walked back to the store.

27 Immanis, Spring of Era XIV
Usaro had only just entered the gates of the city -- had danced with the street performers and visited quite a few of the local citizens -- when he stopped and stared, mouth agape, at the presence of such a wonderful, magnificent, glorious shop. The aroma was intoxicating, the sights delicious, the very presence of all these sweet things was glorious beyond glory. Oh, sweet Aetheria, he'd found his haven!
"Serale!" he called warmly as he stepped barefoot into the little shop. His senses were overwhelmed, and he thought he might die happily that very moment. He was distracted by the displays of chocolates for a long moment, then he spotted the elderly woman behind the counter and glided up to her.
"You must be the owner of this magnificent place!" he crowed, and he beamed at her with a coy tip of his head. "You won't be rid of me, now; I can't possibly try one of everything just now, so I'll only have to come back every brightening until I've sampled everything -- then I'll know my favorites, and I'll come twice as often. What should I begin this everlasting relationship with, then? This is of dire importance, so please take your time!"
Reluctantly, Usaro conceded to only buy one scoop of chocolate kisses, though his eyes lingered greedily on the rest of the stock and his lungs filled with the luscious scent of everything he wouldn't be eating. He would return!
He slipped one of the kisses into his mouth and made a show of savoring it as if it were Aetheria, then presented seven silvers with a flourish and then, with a bag of chocolates held like priceless jewels in his hands, he bade the good Miss Madelyn serale ... for now!

Antin
Madelyn Karns smiled and nodded. She reached into a jar sitting on the counter, and pulled out two sugared almonds, handing each one to first the fae, then his clone. "Twin fae... amazing. You two look exactly alike. I think thats a first for the shop. Is there anything I can help you with?" She said thoughtfully, then went back to her sign she was working on. It was resting on the counter, a small wooden plaque, in which she had been carefully inking the words "Help Wanted.... 30 gc a cycle for a shop tender and assistant candymaker. Will train." Madelyn Karns seemed the type who could do more than one thing at a time, and be attentive while doing them.
She smiled at both of them, and offered them gently... "Have a look around. We have an enormous selection.. and yes we make a great deal of it ourselves." She smiled kindly, and spent a moment gesturing with her ink quill the various sections of the store and what was for sale therein.

Theying
The shopkeeper looked up, smiled at Theying, and nodded. "Of course. We have all sorts that will. The hard candy is the best, but the sugared nuts work well too. I'd recommend the chocolate, but it has a tendency to bloom if it gets hot and cold and hot... it doesn't ruin the taste, just acquires a white film on it that can be rubbed off or ignored. The caramels however, don't travel well.. so anything other than those should be fine." She smiled, pointing out the various sections as she did so, and where each item she listed was. "Do you have a preference and quantity in mind?"

"I guess I'll take five Rich Chocolate Bars and the same number of Red Licorice," the master herbalist answered. "Although, I was thinking that being able to candy some nuts of my own might make it easier to give some herbal remedies. Besides, I think that I could make my wife happy if I could make her some chocolate."
He looked whistfully into the air for a moment before retrieving the five crowns from an unusual pocket. It was something that he would like to look into when he really had a chance. It was a shame that he really couldn't settle in here and learn from a true master of the art.

The Imperial Marine detailed to this job didn't like it one bit. Considering the fact, however, that he'd invariably spattered the Imperial Admiral's boots with his mud due to his carelessness, one could suppose that getting posted to this errand was a small mercy, indeed.
It still seemed foolish, all the same. Then again, perhaps that was why he was detailed. There was something to be said, after all, about black operations.
Presenting the list, so did he await the collection, and henceforth present payment.
Buy the store? Given an offer, the Imperial Minister of War might just well...
