So this is my office. Spiffy, ain't it?
This is where I will (hopefully) keep an updated to-do list, ramblings about what still needs to be altered and pinched, and where you (the player!) can keep up to date on me, my doings, and potentially bug me out of random reveries into doing something useful and necessary. So please don't hesitate to post here to point me to something that needs my attention. It's very helpful, as my mind tends to fill up so quickly that I lose things out the back.

Schedule of Availability Until May '10 (all times Pacific Standard, GMT -8):
Monday - Thursday: 6PM - 10PM
Friday: 7AM - 12PM
Saturday - Sunday: spread, random hours
This is just a general schedule. My week-to-week changes based on my responsibilities with work, life, etc., and I try to do my best to always list upcoming deadlines and projects that will affect my posting rate.
- The Tale of Charybdis -
Charybdis was once a beautiful Naiad, a type of nymph associated with springs and fresh water. Somehow she enraged a god enough that she was turned into a horrendous monster with only a mouth, teeth, and a belly. She sucked up the water around her and belched it back out three times a day, becoming the terror of the sea. Ships, when approaching her strait, had the choice between losing six men to the six heads of Scylla, another monster caught high on the cliff, or their entire ship to Charybdis, hence the saying "Between Scylla and Charybdis". It was said that not even Poseidon could pull a ship out of her grasp -- thus the Naiad who was bested by a god bested them in turn, using her curse to gain power over the very Olympians themselves.

1.) Collect and collate all the Houses for the system in Ethgan'tor.
2.) Collect all up-to-date information on what's going on with the political system (aka, Laroa's ascension, the treaty with the Kingdom, etc.)
3.) Repost and tentatively edit a few locations (including that monstrosity of a temple).
4.) Start something interesting (I'm thinking assassination? Rebellion? Sending Prince Milo stinky socks in his Christmas stocking?)
5.) Bug Tia into playing with me.
6.) Bug other PCs into playing with me.
7.) Bug me into doing something more useful than writing to-do lists.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and 8.) Start a Wiki-Book for Ethgan'tor.
Oh yeah and P.P.S. 9.) Ask about redoing the population numbers since they, in my opinion, are inaccurate.

Weekend has started for me. I will most likely be relatively inactive; I'm giving a talk at a seminar this Saturday. I'll be around Sunday, at least during the middle of the day.
On a personal note, I'm very frustrated. I don't get angry very often, but it happened today and it's sent me for a whirl. I just really can't stand when people attack me and I know for a fact I haven't done anything wrong...especially when I know that I've been overly gracious to said person.
I simply can't tolerate when people blame me for their own laziness.
And people are dumb - don't let 'em bother you. Everyone wants to push blame off on someone besides themselves nowadays. People should take responsibility for their own problems.

Seminar was great. It was a conference for high school students in the county that were interested in majoring in science, engineering, technology, or medicine -- to just give them an idea of what to expect and what the subjects really were like.
Yeah I know. I'm not totally bothered by him. More bothered that I lost my temper, because it was rather ungracious of me. Thanks though.

This has been a horrible week for me. How do I hate thee? Oh let me count the ways...
I am consistently getting bullied by a student who, no matter what I do, will simply not stop. And thus I am slowly losing control of my class because I cannot control him. It is very hard being in a position of authority and yet not being respected -- the problem with being young and, most likely, being female, is that you are thought of as "demure" or "timid" or whatever. I'm also naturally non-confrontational. Thus people, and by people I mean bullies, take advantage of that. I swear if I hear him ask me one more time in class, "So you're teaching us something completely pointless..." I'll scream.
My eating schedule is completely warped. I am not even remotely hungry now and it's dinner, but I'll be starving in like three hours -- just in time for bed.
I can't sleep in no matter what I do, and now I'm so sleep deprived that coworkers and stopping me and asking me if I'm ok, and if I'm sick.
I haven't seen my boyfriend since Sunday, and that was even for only a few hours as he had to work. I hate crunch times.
My boss is coming in to observe my lecture tomorrow, and it simply HAD to be a lecture on material with which I am not fully comfortable. Oh, why couldn't he have come last week when I was golden...
I spent a month on the telephone with stupid customer service representatives all over the place in order to spend MY OWN MONEY to buy a new sofa for myself, because apparently they were reluctant to let me spend MY OWN MONEY to buy MY OWN FURNITURE. Yeah. And then when it finally comes after rescheduling and rescheduling, it's missing the frame that holds up the chaise. So now it just looks stupid.
My brothers changed their plans so I'm now not seeing my father on his birthday. And nobody bothered to tell me this until last night.
I haven't won Settlers of Catan...ever, in the last 3 months of night games. I think I am epic fail in the face.
I had three students tell me today that I was "aloof" and "unapproachable" and that I should be more open, warm, and friendly. Although they said they thought it was more because I was "a genius at this stuff" and just didn't understand how other people couldn't understand, rather than being mean. I don't know whether that's good or bad.
I hate working with the EAC because it is so inconvenient. And that stupid bully of a student is the one that I have to go out of my way for to provide a "fair and open learning environment". Argh!
My other problem student is now haunting my nightmares. I really don't want to go buy pepper spray, but my best friend made me promise, or else.
Serendipity still has more posts on her GM account than I do. Blah.
I am almost out of pomegranate Izzes. I'm going to cry when they finally disappear.
My father turns sixty this Sunday. I am so friggen scared of the day when they call me to tell me he's not going to be around anymore. He's my life.
Cybernations is so slow.

Update 03.20.09:
Now on weekend-mode. Have just a little grading to do tomorrow morning, and then the boyfriend gets me all tomorrow night. But I'll be around throughout Saturday (day) and Sunday (day + night).
Kinda...meh right now. A lot going through my brain. Is it wrong that I feel racially offended when people offer money to other minorities just for majority in science, and yet mine gets told "No, you don't count"? It seems very unfair.
