The Academy's Armoury (Military)

Not too far away from the place where one would enlist for training and a job as a soldier, for a couple of eras, there was an armoury. Here, military men forged weapons strictly for military use, as it was always necessary to have a supply of them. Most of the weapons had been bought from civilian shops, one of which happened to include Frodera's, but the use of the place remained the same: Strictly military and only for those in need of a weapon or piece of armour. The only reason why forging was done at the place, was to teach those soldiers, who were interested, in repairing and making weapons of their own. Forging wasn't the only thing done, fletching also. All of the making of weapons could be seen through a small opening that was left behind by a nearly closed door. On the desk that seperated those working from those in need of a weapon there was a parchment, which happened to contain some vital information.

'This is a Soldiers only location, please leave if you aren't enlisted in the New Coldmoon army or cannot provide proof for being a member of this strong force.

Those who are and can provide proof of being an enlisted soldier within NC, may present the papers that are necessary to ask for weapons or armours here. These papers can be retrieved from the elven lieutenant at the enlistment desk. Visa must also be presented to make certain that you are the person you say you are. Ask for weapons, if we have it, you will get it, if we don't, look elsewhere.'

For all those that fulfilled the criteria presented by the document could then proceed further down the desk to be served by the omnicat clerk, obviously also a member of the military and apparantly a woman. Her eyes bore the aggressive look of a person who had been involved in a battle too many and her muscles, although not bulging, were obviously capable things and she probably knew how to use them better than anyone else. By her side, she had a dagger and apart from that, it was easy to figure out that her chosen weapon had been training in some form of Zinn'ka, probably a katta style one.

The katta-raised sea-elf enters the Armoury in quite a good mood. It had been sometime sense he had held a Jo Staff, and he was happy to be getting ready to do so again. His training had left his hungry for more and the Wildernessmen seemed to be feeding his hunger. "Serrrale," says Arraeth with a cordial nod and the presentation of his paper from the recruiter. "I have brrought this frrom the rrecruiter, allowing me a Jo Staff."

He hands the paper to the nearest worker and smiles. "Surely the staff will be capped on each end," he thinks to himself, "It only makes sense, especially for extensive use and training. Perhaps even ironwood?"

The Omnicat clerk looked over the paper allowing the recruit to get his hands on a Jo Staff. Knowing exactly what the staff was and how it looked like, she went out into the forge and quickly returned with a rather good example of that specifik weapon. Both it's ends had blunt iron capping, to prevent it from getting broken more than the usual. A bit of cloth was tied around where one was meant to hold it, but apart from that, it was a straight and simple object.

The clerk looked over Arraeth, before asking "You seem new, you're a recruit I presume?" When she got the nod she continued "Well, i'll let it pass this time, but bring your military ID next time, I just bet you're like all those others who don't have it yet" With that, she took the paper, ripped it, threw it out and then handed over the staff to Arraeth.

Arraeth nods at her simple directions, making sure to not the proper procedure for the next time. In truth, Arraeth was one of those recruits who had not yet received his military ID, but now that she had mentioned it, he wondered when he was to get it. "Verry well," he says to the omnicat, who interestinly enough hadn't mentioned his katta accent. "Perhaps she cannot detect it due to herself having one," he thinks to himself. "Next time I will rrememberrr." He turns to leave, telling her to have a good day in katta before exiting.

Sabar entered the forge and spotted the Omnicat. Not wanting to waste any time he walked right up to her and said, "Serale, I would like to borrow a longbow but not the katana." He said pulling out the paper the Leiutenent had given him when he requested the weapons. He had finally got the Katana at the forge in town but not before the paper he held had been given to him.

"A longbow? That will be quite possible, and i'll note that you didn't take the Katana" The omnicat turned around, walked into the actual armoury and came out with a longbow and a quiver of arrows. If one cared to count, there was around 20 arrows in it, iron tipped and with three goose feathers to keep it flying straight. "Here's your weapon, use it wisely and please, don't break it, we have plenty of people able to use em' who still go around breaking these rather elegant weapons." Even the omnicat was able to almost give a personality to a weapon, although she could only describe it with movements and appearances, normally not associated with weapons.

Sabar took the longbow from the omnicat and looked it up and down. Taking the quiver next he attached it to his belt on the right hip, opposite the katana he wore. Placing the longbow over his shoulder and across his chest he thanked the omnicat and left the armoury.
