Out in the Cold looking for a crew OPEN GM mod plz
Thirdith brightening in The Month of Immanis in the Season of Winter, Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XV Post Fractum. (30/50)
It was cold, even beneath his sturdy dull scales it was unbearably cold. He had reached a nearby beach and began and completed the transformation from fish to legs nearly a candlemark ago, and he was already feeling the pains of walking.
His legs were cramping and the soles of his feet were sore, and worst of all it was cold. He had been used to the warm southern waters for most of his life, and this was a shock to him. Yes he had adapted to the new water temperature quite some time ago but nothing would have prepared him for the cold winds that blue across his new legs when he grew out his legs.
The cool drafts in the water were nothing to this bustling freezing experience.
Never the less he trotted onwards through the outskirts of the city. His seaweed trousers didn't help him much, and he considered taking off his Fur tunic and wrapping it around his legs.
He quickly banished that thought, and the winning from his head. This was no way for an aspiring pirate to behave! He knew he needed to go out and start making some trouble, so he could week out the weak and start manipulating them. He needed a ship, but he would get to that after he got a loyal crew.
He already had some ideas running through his head of hailing a boat and playing on a first mates desire to over run a captain, but he would need people he could trust to replace the original sailors after he had gotten a ship so he he stood, looking out at the shops, looking for the seedier bars.
Looking around he began to think that even with his previous military training, he was glad he had put most of his little money in the bank.

30 Immanis, Winter, Era I, PF XV, after his visit to the Clinic
The brightening had been quite taxing for the poor Elfling; but on the bright side, things could only get better. Having just returned from the Clinic, he still felt drained, but sensed some of his vitality returning to his limbs. His headache and nausea had subsided, apparently thanks to whatever root or herb the physician had given to him.
Bent over in a huddle as he scurried along, he grasped his cloak ever closer to his body, trying to wring out every last bit of warmth that he could. It wouldn't do for him to descend into another fit of illness.
As he passed the next shop along the street, a new smell assailed him. Penetrating the thick veil of anosmia to reach his attention, it wasn't like any smell he knew, not any from the healer either. It was pungent, almost fishy. And it was was closing in on him.
He forced his bleary eyes to look up ahead, to seek the source of the foreign stench. Up ahead, he saw the strangest sight. It was humanoid, yet it walked in an awkward gait, as if unused to treading on solid ground. Its pants was stranger yet, glistening a sickening green under the wintry Sun like a sheet of seaweed.
How odd. Overcome by curiosity, he momentarily forgot about his discomfort and affronted nose. Bearing down on the creature, Xyltha halted as they neared each other.
"Nice pants, did you make them yourself?"

"WHA!" barked Luvark looking affronted, "Haven't you ever seen a Merman before! Your pointed ears their arn't to appeasing on the eyes neither!"
He looked over the skinny being shaking his head, he didn't look like a worthy candidate at all, if fact he saw a bit of a spoiled air about him. He would know since he went 16 years of his own life spoiled to the bone.
He simmered silently while waiting for the beings response. If he could start a brawl or the like, the people who come around to watch may be potential people for his crew. If he won, he might be respected, if he lost, he would just go down to a different part of the city.
He snarled at the pointed eared one, he wasn't quite sure what else to call it, but didn't want to appear ignorant. He had seen them from the water before, but didn't have a name for them, so he decided it might be better to just continue throwing insults.

"Wha! A merman!" Ewww... Gross...
Xyltha recoiled visibly from the Merman. He had never encountered such slimey beings before. And this one looked downright scaly and alien-like.
"Don't you go talking about my pointy ears! They're the pride of the Elven Nation!"
Well, they weren't really the pride, but Xyltha was sure they were pretty close. The tension seemed to build up behind the two, such that it was almost palpable. The elfling grinned. Just what he needed to warm up his blood again, get the juices flowing.
For once that brightening, his spirit was soaring.

Having heard the shouting from a nearby street, Kel'tha moved closer, the odd dialects playing on her hidden ears. Rounding the corner she arched a white eyebrow at the snarling pair, the Mer and the Elf. Being an elf herself, she hesitated slightly at the pointed ears comment, before walking a touch closer. The thick red cloak with its deep hood, hid her pale golden face, her dark gold eyes and the mocking grin, only the long waves of her white hair showed out of the cowl.
"Now now, brawling in the streets, hardly befitting." Her tone of voice mocking at least, she was more likely stronger, lighter and more agile than the pair, yet her skills lacked. She knew Mer's to be sluggish on land, the cold not helping him either. The elf on the other hand... Besides, she knew how to rouse the guards.
Putting aside their petty fighting, she took another step forward, face still obscured to the pair. "Why are you fighting anyways?"

The mer looked about startled that one of the new comers were getting in the way. Two verses one was hardly fair, and he wasn't sure that their would be many, if any mer people near by.
He cringed for half a blink as he thought back to the beating he got the last time he was taken out numbered.
Well, it was now or never, he now knew the name of them, elves, so he decided to move in closer to the first elf, if he took him out, then that might scare away the second.
He stumbled foward and reached out to the elf for assistance, then would grab the first elf's arm, and attempt to do an upercut to his groin with his powerful arms. His legs may be weak as a childs, but his arms bulk far made up for it.
If successful he would stumble them towards a nearby wall, bash his opponents head against it lightly (for he didn't want to kill em yet) and use the wall as support if the second elf came fowardes.
ooc: Alright, looks like we will be needing a GM here, thanks for joining guys!

OOCthanks for the heads up, Wynd. Would have missed it. And thanks for taking the thread :)
With the tension simmering between the original pair, Xyltha spared the newcomer Elf a dismissive glance. He had heard tales of the mer, and most of it bad. Why, they even went on a rampage against Demios but a few patterns ago, or so. From all accounts, it had been a bloody war, filled with losses on both sides - instigated by the mer.
The news was still fresh to the impressionable young elf, and so he was somewhat prepared when the mer lunged for him. As the mer pretended to topple over, Xyltha - already skittish, despite just recently overcoming his debilitating illness - flinched backwards.
Whether or not the Mer was within arms reach to follow through with the feint was up to the wills of the Aetherians, it seems. If it happened that the Mer connected with the Elf, and bodily moved to attack him, Xyltha would instinctively react by kicking the slimey Mer in the only place he assumed would count - surely Mer man were no different from any other land-walking males. There was no sense playing nice in this street brawl.

(OOC: I'll be moderating this thread. Xyltha -- I noticed your post came only 3 minutes after Luvark's, so you probably didn't read Luvark's attack on you. I suggest you read it and respond, otherwise your head will be bashed against a wall. Cheers.)

Xyltha's backward flinch didn't take him far back enough to avoid Lurvark snatching onto his arm, but an uppercut to the groin with the arms was frankly an impractical maneuver. His legs were weak but an uppercut to the groin left his face and torso totally exposed, and the time it took for his arm to reach down and then swing upward to connect with Xyltha's groin was cumbersome, especially when Xyltha's foot was bee-lining to Lurvark's balls as well. Lurvark got a nasty one in his sensitive bits, and forcing a stumble toward the wall didn't work either. But the Mer's forehead did return the favour and Xyltha was knocked backward onto his ass, taking them both down with Lurvark on top.
They were in the outskirts in Freeport, a cold and empty zone between the Freeport Bazaar and the beaches. This was one of the few parts of town with vacant lots. There were a lot of the city's cemeteries sitting on hilltops above the streets. On the streets there were brick warehouses and old, decrepit tenements without anything around except for stray cats. It was the perfect place for a street scrap.

Lurvark shelp was on top and had the advantage, he knew it, and he was sure the elf knew it to. He was not to fond of being kicked in the balls, and was surprised at the elf's response time. As he continued to grapel he thought that the way the elf attacked him so quickly and saw through his feint was because of previous bad experiences with merpeople, meaning that his job would be easier in starting a war between races.
His heavy body was on top, the way he was on top, he kept the legs and thigh of the elf pinned to ground with his thigh, he had automatically put his knees out into a keeling position as they fell to get into this possition to keep his pinned. His previous military training helped more than most would think, same concepts, the only differentce was that he had feet and legs instead of a tail.
He began punching the elfs face with his powerful arms, and the elf would probably bring his arms up to protect himself, when that happened, he would grab them with his powerful arms, push them to the elfs chest, pin them their with one arm, then grab tdhe elfs neck and elfs head into the ground several times while strangeling him.
He would do that about a dozen times before holding his head up and asking, "Done yet?"
If by some stroke of chance, the elf tried to and succeeded in rolling so he could be ontop, the merman would just continue the rool so he was on top again, and begin the process mentioned above.

Well, Xyltha wasn't one to give up without a fight. With the hulking pungent mass of scale and gooey flesh atop him, he whipped out his arms swinging wildly. In a desperate situation like this, there was only one target in his mind; the groin.
With repetitive punches borne of frustration at being pinned down, he pummeled the mer repeatedly in those sensitive bits. With every strain of effort he could afford, bearing down on him... This was a fight of life and death, it seemed. And he wasn't one to die, no not yet. He was too young.
