Looking for Training in Elementalism

Zim had come back on his visit that he takes every cycle to collect his payment from the forge and he desided that this would be the perfict opetunirty to learn a little arcana. Zim wished to learn the ways of elementalism, and more then that. He wanted to form his own sub sphere of the technique, but this would take Zim a very long perioud of time. In the mean time Zim basicly wondered the streats aimlessly looking for some one that might be able to help him or anything along those lines.

As Cerramond made his way from his mansion to the public square, his eyes fall upon a rather distinct looking character: a bald man, almost entirely covered with tattoos. He had seen to many strange people in his life to be surprised, but he did recognize something in Zim that he had seen all too often these days: the man was looking for something.

And, friendly as he was, the short man, as always, dressed in extremely bright colours, made his way towards the stranger. When he was within speach distance, he addressed the tall Half-Elf. "Excuse me, my good man. I couldn't help wondering what y'er looking for."

No doubt it was again one of those people who had laid hand on some land here, and was now looking for the hardware store, like all the others. He had directed a lot of people there since his own arrival in Demios...

"Uhh.. I'm looking for some training in Elementalism, I heard that I might find some training for that here in Demios," Zim said smileing at the little man in bright colors before him. Weather Zim could be helped or not by this man was one thing, but why the bright colors was another.

"Yes, yes, ye need wood and tools, and..." It somehow took the man a minute to realise what he had just been asked. Sofar, everyone wandering around here in Demios was buiding or rebuilding a house or something in that area. He realised it nonetheless though. "What was that? Elementalism...?"

The colorfully dressed man had a rather confused look on his face, as he began to rub his chin with one hand. "Er... right. Lemme see... I think I've heard some rumours about that, actually. About people setting up some school in arcana or something. Maybe that's what y'er looking for? Although I can't be sure. I've never had anything with arcana, really."

Cerramond simply looked at the stranger, his face still a bit tied up. His willingness to help was unfortunately not matched by his overall knowledge.

"Yea, if you can give me information on this school that you heard rumors about that would be great," Zim said to the still odd looking man. It seemed that now adays everyone wore dark or earth tone colors. This person obviously didn't have anything to hide from.

Zim was obviously a man of little words. Not wasting time when looking for something. Cerramond, however, seemed to be carved from a different kind of wood. Which was probably why he loved to talk.

"Well, there is this large building, situated a little further to the south, I believe it is called something like the Fire Academy. Perhaps that's what y'er looking for." At this point, the man had obviously answered the Half-Elf's question. He was, however, far from done.

"So tell me. When didya arrive here in Demios? Didya come here 'specially for the Elementalism? I really love Demios meself. It is not such an overcrowded place like many cities 'n the mainland. And I really love the ocean. Don't ya like the ocean? And fish! Oh yes, I love fish. You a fish-eater? Ye should visit me at my place some time, I'll fix you up with a perfect dinner. And maybe we can play cards afterwards, with the guys... I'm sure they won't mind having an extra player. The more the merrier, that's what I always say."

He paused here, and caught his breath, and then carried on: "How about the tomorrow? Ye have any plans for tomorrow? Why don't ya come by, say at eight? My mansion is really easy to find. Oh, my wife loves it when I bring guests for dinner. She an excellent cook you know..."

So there it was. Proof that a conversation could move from Elementalism to a fish dinner in a matter of minutes. And an invitation too. Probably not really what Zim had expected...

"Ok, thank you for directions," Zim said interjecting quickly, then he realized he had inturupted someone and decided to wait for what they had to say. "Well I came to demios to re-open the local forge here. I come back roughly every cycle to collect my share of the money from the manager of it, Danny Harvinger, perhaps you know him? Anyways, it's quite lovely here. But I had hoped to explore some in the sphere of Elementalism, with any luck I might be able to draw metal from the ground so that I can use it to fight with in those rare occations that it happens. Fish are a beautiful animal in all there grace, but I don't much enjoy them for food realy. As for your invatation, it's quite gracious of you but I'm afread I must turn it down, due to my travel times and such I don't know weather I would be able to hold such a date, and so it is just easier to decline it. You understand don't you?" Zim stopped talking and took a few deep breaths, the ocean air was thicker then that in Tirisfal, even if it was on the bay, it still wasnt surrounded by water. "Well, thanks again for the directions, I think I'll be on my way now," Zim said. He reached into his buldging coin purse and pulled out 50 crowns in a small sack and handed them to the bright colored man before him. It was probibly a trivial amount but it was the thought that counted. "Bet that for me would you?" Zim said tossing it to the man with a chuckle as he walked off.

As Zim turned away, he left the other man in a rather dazzled state. He had answered all the questions, and in a rather good manner. Which was not something Cerramond was used to. Add to the fact that he had just been handed 50 crowns for some directions and you have one confused colourfully dressed man.

The plumpy man quickly recovered though, and after seeing Zim pass a corner, he went back to his own business. Which in this case meant spending a certain amount of crowns at Sizzle's place. It was not every day that he was given money for directions, after all. A little celebration wouldn't hurt...
