[Elle Kaldres Lothain]

Elle chuckles softly, as Rishk leaves, then takes her time exploring the shoppe that she is now in charge of. From the front door, to the back storeroom, she digs and pokes.. then eventually takes a book back to the front, and begins to read. Not like much cleaning or fronting of shelves needs doing yet.

The store is quiet, after the customers leave, and she settles down reading the book at the front counter. The stillness occasionally causes her to look up and around from unsettlement. Some kind of noise would be preferrable. Maybe she needs to bring Nilas inside, as company. She finds she misses her pet.

As the sun sinks below the horizon, and the lamp must be lit to see, Elle closes the book then lays it to the side. She then moves to the front of the shoppe to turn the little sign to read "Closed" and goes to the register to take out all the coin there. She removes it to the safe, locks it, and replaces it in its hiding place.

A quick trip to the Headless Orc provides dinner and conversation for her, and the making of new acquaintances. Elle returns to the Firecrest General store afterwards... unsure of where else to go. She sleeps in the back storeroom, stretching out on a few rolled up carpets, and with a nice heavy blanket for cover. "Much nicer than on the last trip!" to her thinking. No bugs.. no rocks, and no fights!

The sun that set not so long ago to her mind, rises again and shines brightly in the front window.. awakening her. The dreams of travelling fade, and she sits up and rubs her eyes.. Mrrring softly.. then brushes out her hair, and washes quickly. Breakfast is tucked into her little bag that she carries with her everywhere. She munches on it as she tidies up the place where she slept. Glancing about the storeroom.. she nods to herself as everything appears satisfactory. Walking to the front of the store she makes sure everything there is just right.. brushing away a few particles of dust here and there that have gathered overnight. The stillness of the room is less... oppressive than it had been last night, and the feeling of being in the store today is a good feeling.

Heading again to the front of the store with a big smile, she again turns the sign to read "Open" and waits for her newest helper to come by with her adopted father.

[Adinirach Dalael]

Not long after Elle sits down to wait, a tall, handsome Vysstichi enters, and after him trails a small Katta girl with golden brown eyes and dark fur, her little paw in the Vysstichi's slender, ebon-skinned hand. He smiles at Elle, bright eyes sparkling happily, and sweeps a hand through his white hair as he scans the interior of the sweet-smelling shoppe. He nods approvingly and approaches the counter.

"Serale again, Elle! This, is Ravier. I believe she is eight or so...I am going shopping for things today, but perhaps when I come to get her later I can get a few of those items here?" He asks with a pleasant smile.

Meanwhile, the adorable Katta peers about curiously, childish eyes wide and intelligent, and she seems more wise than her age would merit, given the life she had led up to this point. She stops and then turns her gaze up to Elle, and smiles shyly, waggling her little fingers in a wave.

Leaning over the counter, reading her book again.. Elle looks up as the door opens, and smiles to see the man she met last night at the tavern. She glances down to see the Katta child, and smiles a little brighter. She waves back.

Serale to you both.. Hello Ravier, I'm Elle. I dont' know what your father has told you about me, but I'm going to let you work here for a little while. I need the help. She looks back up to Adinirach.

As for doing shopping here, sure thing! Just tell me what it is you're looking for and Ravier and I will have it together and waiting by the time you come back to take her home. How does that sound?

She marks her place in the book, puts it underneath the counter on a shelf, and moves moves out from behind it to stand in front of the pair.

[Adinirach Dalael]

He grins and grabs a sheet of blank parchment from the counter, then a quill. He jots down a list of the following items:

8 oil lamps and a 5 day supply of oil
Bed sheets and pillows
Two beds
One large dresser
4 cooking pots
Firestarting kit
10 days of rations
Medium sized table and two chairs
Four glasses, plates, and bowls
Eight sets of silverware

"Any of it you don't have or can't get, I am sure I could find somewhere else. Ravier, you be a good girl for the nice lady now. Her name is Elle, and she is a good friend of mine." He says with a smile, then gives the girl a hug and jogs from the shoppe so he wont be late.

OOC: She is under your control, you can have her do whatever is needed.

Elle takes the sheet of parchment from Adinirach, and reads it over, nodding to herself. She smiles again at the child, then shows the parchment list to her.

Ravier, can you read dear? Then lets go start finding all these things for your dad.

After waving by to Daddy, Elle and Ravier head back to the back of the shoppe, and starts to dig up the smaller items.

Oil and lamps aren't a problem, Elle directs the girl to wrap them in cheap linen there just for that purpose, and pack them inside the cooking pots that Elle takes down from a tall shelf. Soon both girls are covered head to toe in cloth, and are giggling madly.. after untangling themselves, Elle asksRavier to wrap up the plates cups and bowls as well. They get packed into the drawers of the large dresser along with the bed linens, silverware, and firestarting kit. After all the smaller items are packed, Elle tucks the list ontop of the dresser and smiles down at Ravier.

Well, thats that.. now we just have to wait for him to come back and pick it all up. Since that took up most of the morning, how about we have some lunch, then we can tally up how much all this is going to cost. Okay?

Ravier loosened up as she and Elle filled the order for Adinirach, and are on the way to being friends now. Elle brought lunch, not much but enough for two. Fresh fruits, bread, and a hard cheese for herself, and some dried meat for the Katta-child, with water to drink. She shares whatever with the little girl desires to eat, and chats pleasantly during the half-hour break. Afterwards, Elle and Ravier clean up, and Elle gives her a more formal tour of the shoppe.

Here in the front of the store, we keep the bright and pretty things in the windows to attract customers. Clothing, linen goods.. a few bits of small furniture. On the floor, I keep smaller articles like household goods.. kitchen wares.. gift items. The back room holds all the big things like furniture, and spares of all the things I have up front. The shelving extends all the way up to the ceiling, and hopefully a young girl like you can help me with getting the things down, once you learn where they are all stored. Now, lets tally up what Adinirach owes for all this, hmm?

With another friendly smile, Elle grabs the original list from the top of the dresser, and her quill, and sets about figuring.

she murmers the prices as she tallies them up, occasionally glancing at the wide eyed Katta child watching her.

I certainly hope your adopted father doesn't mind paying the prices on some of these.. Its going to add up to a tidy sum I think.. especially the furniture.

Lesse.. Oil lamps at ten each, oil for five days is twenty five.. Sheets and pillows, two for each bed.. thats twenty.. two beds at two hundred each.. one dresser.. One fifty.. Cook pots, fifteen each.. One fire kit.. eh.. say five crowns. Hrmm.. table.. One hundred more... carry the one.. chairs, fifty for the pair.. table setting for four, and silver for eight.. thats.. ack. Make it fifty. WOW!

I'm going to call it an even thousand crowns for all of that.. hrmm.. I'll set that down as an inital price, and if Adinirach wants to bargain a bit, I'll let him.

She nods, with finality to Ravier, then they set off as Elle explains more about how to handle the people that come to shoppe, as she hopes someone will stop in to purchase something soon.

[Rishk]

Rishk re-entered the next day, without the usual load down from his weaponry. He still did however have his throwing knives and his sleeve daggers, even if those could not be seen. He approached Elle (just after lunchtime) while she was busy totalling up Adinirach's purchases. Apprarently, he wasn't the only one making large purchases.

"Serale and g'day miss. I never did catch your name." he said, before he noticed Ravier, but then smiled and said "Ohh, who might this be?"

[Adinirach Dalael]

After his training, he enters shortly after Rishk does, his normally clean scrubbed self tattered and dirty, and looking as if he'd recieved quite a beating. He smiles at Ravier crookedly, then gives a nod to Rishk before turning to Elle.

"Serale again, Elle. I don't suppose you might have all those items? I know it won't be cheap." He says with a wry grin.

Elle grins seeing Rishk return. She gestures towards the Katta girl as she walks from behind the counter towards him. Ravier follows, her bright eyes taking Rishk in.

Serale, Sir. My name is Elle.. and this is Ravier. My new helper. I'm glad to see you've returned.. To pick up the remainder of your goods? I was rather looking forward to talking with you again.

Elle sees Adinirach enter behind Rishk, and smiles to him as well.

Serale! I have most of what you requested.. If you'll just give me a moment to finish here... and you're right! It wasn't very cheap at all. I hope the price isn't too steep.

She laughs softly, with him, not at the expense.

[Adinirach Dalael]

He nods and grins slightly, then looks to Ravier, and his smile brightens even more.

"Serale again, Ravier! You were good for Miss Elle, I hope?" He asks softly, knowing the little Katta was probably very well behaved indeed.

Ravier, in the meantime, had finished studying Rishk and scampers over to Adinirach and hides behind a leg, clinging to a pants leg with her little claws. He looks back over his shoulder at her and smiles warmly, glad he had been missed. He gently pries her little claws from his pants and then picks the light little form up and sets her on his shoulders.

"Now just keep your claws out of my head and we'll be fine." He says to her through a chuckle, then looks back at Elle.

"Well...I will manage somehow. The main problem will be getting it all back to my house." He says with a little laugh, joining in with the mirth. He looks to Rishk and cocks his head slightly, narrowing his eyes in thought. A few moments later, his eyes light back up and he grins and extends a slender ebon-skinned hand to Rishk.

"Serale...I believe we met at the Aedile's office? Name's Adinirach."

[Rishk]

Rishk smiled and crouched down to Ravier's height.

"You are very pretty, how old are you?" he spoke in his own tongue, not sure if Ravier would know their language. She seemed act as if Adinirach was her father as opposed to merely a friend.

After she answered if she did, Rishk would smile and wink to her, then stand up to his full height, a blistering 5'8" (hehehe).

"I remember seeing you, but I don't believe we had a formal introduction. I am Rishk Tanrim."

When finished his introduction with Adinirach, Rishk turned back to Elle. "Yes, I am here for my purchases. I trust you took good care of them?" he said with a chuckle, "Getting them home might be a problem though. For as you can see, I am no giant."

ooc: BTW, Rishk is a katta-cheetari, 5'8" abd about 165lbs... If Ravier grew up with katta, she should understand katta-speak, but I guess that is up to you. (All katta speak the same language, just with different dialects. Same as Canadian engligh/British english... Same language, but different dialects)

Elle watches the three others happily as they talk.. she smiles at Ravier as she bounds to her 'dad'.. then as Rishk bends to talk to her. As Rishk straightens, he'd find himself eye to eye with her, as she only stands at 5'8" herself.
Of course I've taken good care of your purchases! As good as if they'd been my own property! She nods, smiling Its nearly time to close shop for the day, and Adinirach is here to take Ravier home.. So if you wish, I could help you carry things back to your place. Both of you! Giving a short laugh, slightly amused that her business is so good her customers can't carry all their purchases home.

[Adinirach Dalael]

Ravier smiles at Rishk, showing off all her little white teeth. Her golden brown eyes sparkle brightly from her dark furred face.

"I am eight years old. Thank you." She says, in their native tongue, and she has a pretty little voice though it is not often heard, then purrs softly, still smiling.

Adinirach, meanwhile, smiles proudly of his 'daughter', and looks down upon the smaller forms of the Katta, the older two a full seven inches shorter than him. He runs a slender ebon-skinned hand over his tightly plaited hair and bites his lip.

"Well, we could always help each other. We could all help carry Rishk's things to his house, then return here and move all my things? I'll come and help lock up if you'd like, Elle." He offers with a little smile.

[Rishk]

"That'd be great." Rishk said in response to the groups offer of help. "It's too bad there aren't any wagons or something like that that we could use."

Rishk looked around, trying to find something in the shop that could help in carrying the funrniture. A wagon, or even some rope would do. Anything that could make lifting stuff feel less heavy.
