It's been a while since we've had our own forum.

I missed the days when the Andares were all over the Empire, so I'm pretty happy to at least have this little place back.

Now I want to update the "PC Members" thread, so I need a short description of both Archalen and Malkaer.

I think we should also update the Andares History thread and the family tree.

I assume we want to allow others to join us?

What else do we need in this forum?

A personal thread for all three of us?

I'd like to officially welcome Archalen to the House again.

Yes I'll post a short description of my pc shortly.

Andares History thread and the family tree should indeed be updated.

We need a thread where non-Andares can offer their oaths of fealty, declare their hostility and eventually beg for mercy.

A personal thread might be fun though I don't know how much I'll be using it. Still, it seems the rage of today.

We should also discuss how to integrate Archalen into the house IC.

Thank you Malkaer. It seems I did indeed make the wise decision.

I will post a description of my pc shortly; need to re-work some things from my CIR.

I support the suggestions above and include just doing some general clean up of the House Forum. Seems a little disorganized as of now; but thats my thought.

I've brainstormed some ideas with Anvael on how to intergrate my character but still refining some points. I'll brainstorm some more and shoot you guys a PM.

Perhaps we can come up with some immediate goals for the house? I'm eager to bring honor here.

Yeah a clean up would be good.

Some general goals for my PC:

Short term:

- Help Anvael to bring Sherian back on its feet for the prestige and power.
- Get rich by a scheme I have worked out.

Mid term:

- Rebuild my PC's tarnished reputation and revise the settlement with the Justice Department so that my PC can hold high government jobs again.
- Gain a high noble title through House Maeve patronage.
- Get richer.
- Build up a network of clients and vassals.

Long term:

- Return to Enamoria, House Andares' historic powerbase.
- Gain more influence in the Imperial Government.
- Become the patron of all Aelyrian esh'lahier.


If Archalen is succesful in Imperia that is good for the House. However don't plan on remaining Thane of Imperia forever, it's a bit of a backwater and rather poor. So plan ahead and be on the lookout for open positions in Provincial Governments. Lieutenant Governor would be a logical next step. Oh and always try to enrich yourself in a position of power, I can't stress that enough. Don't forget to give yourself a cut if that forge idea pays off.

PC Description:

Grey intense sunken orbs form Archalen elven eyes, contrasting somewhat to the pale skin around it. Gray short cut hair of a southren style adornes his angular face. Classic elven elgance of a long neck holds the scarred face. One can be seen on the right eye running north to south on the almond shaped eye, another around the neckline towards the left shoulder. Lines form around his mouth tell-tale of smiles but most oft one would be hard pressed to imagine the usually grim face allowing one. Standing 5'8" Archalens lithe and wiry frame stands straight and proud. His voice is whisper quiet by default, and due to an incident in the past is unable to talk very long without taking breath.

And I'll go ahead and post some goals; of course not all however.

short term:
Start learning a form of combat; perhaps shortsword or spear.
Start learning Mysticism and find a teacher/mentor.
Keep Building Imperia and my reputation and name.

Mid Term:
Acquire more wealth.
Get more contacts and begin building my information network.
Obtain a Province level official position.
Spread the word of Ioannes

Long Term:
Bring Glory to Ethgan'tor.
Become an Influential Member of the Empire.

I’ll clean the forum up as soon as possible.

Now to my goals:

Short term:
- wait for Sarah du’Galle to leave
- become Governor
- make Malkaer’s appointment official
- get to know the important people in Sherian and make sure they obey
- deal with the orcs

Mid term:
- take a few classes in law and politics at that school in Taralon because you can’t learn everything from experience
- boost Sherian’s economy
- make all those that count happy so that the Governor stays Governor

Long term:
- continue Ikos studies and make sure nobody kills the heretic little Ikomancer
- get rich
- make House Andares even more powerful

Archalen, I’d offer you the position of Lieutenant Governor, except that the people in Sherian probably wouldn’t agree with so many dark elves in their province and I don’t know you yet.

Anyway ...

Malkaer, both Archalen and I seem to like the idea that Archalen receives a mysterious letter from me, telling him to come to Taralon right now because there is something he really has to know (it’s more interesting than the old “I’m not your father.” thing) ... but unfortunately we don’t know how Anvael would find out that the Thane of Imperia is his brother ...

Any ideas?

Btw, you can all make threads here. So, Malkaer, if you want a thread for non-Andares start it!

Anvael, Malkear and I spoke at length of ways to intergrate me into the family.

Once scenario we came up with includes the one misc. Item I've had from char creation. I created Archalen with a silver signet ring embossed with the letter "A". It was never developed or really expanded upon, but my general idea was to have the A stand for Archalen, given to him by his fate.

Malkaer informs me that some of the Andares get a crest ring from parents when they are born. We had thought that perhaps Archalens signet ring also include the crest of House Andares, and as he learns the politics of the empire more he comes across the family crest somehow. (perhaps a book or by description, I don't know.)

So, he looks to the family crest, and his ring and seeing that they match investigates further. Basically, long story short he finds he's actually not an Esgalvith but an Andares, and flies to Taralon to meet you two and so forth.

I rather still like the idea of receiving a cryptic message urging me to rush to Taralon at once to discover a secret, but can't really figure out how you and Malkaer would find out about Archalen. Perhaps we can combine the two? Maybe a trader from Imperia stops by and sees the family crest informing you that he once met the Thane of Imperia whose ring bore the same?

Tell me what you think of all this and we'll go from there. I really want this to be enjoyable to all involved, not some obligatory process we have to undertake.

As far as making me Lt. Governor, I would have no objects save for my work isn't quite done yet in Imperia. But hey, well see how it goes .

Malkaer for one always has a banner with the house crest in his office. I expect all other Andares to follow suit!

Hi.

I wandered by the site last night and realised that I really miss playing! I had Tiyribi unretired this morning, but I'm definitely not intending to return to the game all that seriously...but I'd still very much like to write with you all and get back into the swing of things. I've missed a lot I know...been so long! But I still recognize names here so that's exciting.

Haha but yeah...um...I guess I have to account for the years I've been gone? lol...but if you all are still interested in letting me play with you, then that'd be great!

IC, we sort of had Tiyribi going crazy... ahum... It wasn't my idea! but Malkaer was first to make a claim to her assets and 'safeguard' them until she regained her sanity. Anvael and Malk also dragged you to Mystique, and then left you there when our fortunes changed.

If you wake up, somebody would probably send a letter to Malkaer and Anvael.

One of us (or both) could then travel to Mystique, reunite with you and get you to Taralon - if that's what you want.

Malkaer had arranged a doctor to see to Tiyribi, an esh'lahier woman by the name of L'Kares. It's her job to cure Tiyr, so it's about time that happened. Before her accident Tiyribi was rising meteorically through the ranks of the centripaxian government until she was removed as Governor because of the craziness. If you want to do some laid back posting politics is probably not what you want to do though. How about an arranged marriage? I can imagine the headlines: Crazy Ex-Governor becomes Palacrisis "Orclover" Jones' Third Wife.

To get it started, who npc's that trader?
