The Taralon/Khardran Mountain Mines

There is more about Sheradine Cosmopolis than the impending war.

The Taralon Mountains are a harsh and unforgiving place. The Khardran Mountains are an even harsher and more unforgiving place. From the moment of the first steps on the mountains to the last steps off the mountains, it is a continuous struggle to keep yourself alive. In fact, some never make it off the mountains alive. The mountain peaks are high and the slopes are steep. One wrong move on the mountainsides can mean the end of you. This is not including the occasional Orc bands and other dark races that wander the mountains. The lack of vegetation and game make it even harder to survive. When food is found, something may also be stalking behind you, looking at you as food.

But the Mountains are not without intrinsic worth; there are some gains to be found there. A dig here and there will reveal the riches underneath the soil. Raw ore like iron, bronze and such is often found after some digging. And sometimes, just sometimes, one may find precious gems like diamonds, sapphires and rubies, or precious ore like gold and silver. So, mines dot the Mountainsides here and there.

As was said before, these Mountains are a dangerous place. So it is not surprising that many of the miners were attacked and mines were abandoned as a result. And so in this day and time, one can find mines empty of miners and and containing riches beyond anyone's dream still lying there waiting to be taken. So which brave soul or greedy one will venture out and try to amass a fortune?
