[Ranger Hall] Looking for a translator

25th brightening, Ponutis, Era XIV P.F.

Tolmai scurried on all-fours towards the Ranger Hall, not exactly running, but hurrying nonetheless. He was a bit worried about what he smelled on Natura's newest guest. That he got past the Rangers meant that they didn't think he was a threat, but it never hurt to make sure.

Also, it seems the newcomer didn't know how to speak in the Common tongue. The Mousai was fairly certain at least one of the Silver Wolves would be able to translate. At least he'll be out of harms way at Keegan's house.

Arriving at the Hall Tolmai barely spared a glance at the wolves placed high up on the doors. He paused just long enough to stand up on his hind legs before pulling a door open.

Entering the chamber beyond he called out "Serale! Can anyone assist ve?"

The smell of home-rolled cigar smoke wafted in Tolmai’s direction, followed by a gritty voice,

“What do you want?”

Sitting on a stool, enjoying a smoke and a bottle of whiskey, was a rugged human in a brown leather duster and broad-brimmed hat. He squinted through eyes that were deeply engraved with crow ’s feet, and his overall appearance and demeanor was very different than that of the average ranger. The guy seemed rather stand-offish and unapproachable as he peered at the rodent with a stern expression.

Tolmai's nose twitched, slightly irritated by the smoke from the cigar.

"This stukach seems different from the other Rangers that I have met." He thought to himself. "Granted of course that the Rangers I meet are the ones on night patrol. I just hope he can help me."

"Serale. Ve have a recently arrived individual that has the scent of Orc. I vas vondering if the Rangers vere avare of this. Ve have also realized that the individual cannot converse in the Covvon tongue, only Orc, so ve need a translator. Ferhafs you could assist?"
