Happy New Year

In my culture the New Year starts with the pre-dwan rise of Pleiades which this year occurs 24 June (tomorrow) and is partiularily significant in that it coincides with the Solstice

Its a time to remember the dead who now pass and look forward to the year ahead and the abundance it may bring for all of us. So in the Longest Winter look to the stars and hope

Kia ora Ogrim yep I was up this morning a bit late (6.45) Kopu (Venus) was very bright but Matariki was a bit too faint to see (although I think I just saw her)- I'll try again tomorrow and be a bit earlier
