PWN: Players Without Nets

I'd rather, when a player voices their hurt through PMs or OOC notes or whatever, see people just tell them straight - it's a game, it's an IC response, if you take things personally on an OOC basis then it will be impossible to react realistically because of worry of hurting you.

This is very, very good, and needs to be realized by a lot of players, myself included.

THE CASHEW approves, and will do everything in THE CASHEW's power to PWN Taralon and everyone in it. This will allow The Quidam the ability to fine-tune CIA/PWN things as they come up, such as accidental bunnies and what-not.

CIA tried to tackle the OOC offense taken due to IC circumstances, but there is absolutely no way to address that without offending people. It would mean that people who don't put it in their signature would take offense, and then there would be the whole issue of better players versus worse players, etc. This sort of thing isn't a solution for that sort of thing: what players need to do is, what Nell just said, contact the player in question.

What PWN is, I think, is simply a source of inspiration. By joining this sort of club and having other characters to look at as comrades under the same banner, I hope that new and old players alike will feel that extra nudge to try something new or kick an old idea into action. It's not for everyone, because not all characters are outspoken and supercharged, and that's cool. It's for characters who would stand up on a podium and proclaim their visions to the world -- and only need an extra nudge to be brave enough to do it.

I just figured I'd add my two cents here. ^__^*

This is a really great idea, and perfect for my PC. i don't think this means you HAVE to be evil and constantly cause havoc. It just means that you should be in character in all fo your posts, and you should do what your character would do without having to worry about some obnoxious player giving you OOC hassle about IC matters.

It's a game. We're here to have fun.

I really hate metagaming in general. (For those of you who don't know, metagaming is when you use information that you know out-of-game in-game, even though you're character doesn't know it.) There's no reason for it, and most people on Alleria should be good enough role-players that they don't do it.

As for my PC, he's a really nice guy. But he's all over the place, and this is perfect for him. All this is saying is that your PC will always act in character, regardless of what anyone else thinks.
