The Anvil Reborn

[Oracle]

Upon entering the small building with the freshly painted wooden sign reading "The Anvil Reborn" hanging over the doorway, a bell attached to the door jingles. A rainbow of color dances on the floor front the refraction of light through the windowpanes on the door just recently opened before it gently closes upon its hinges.

Inside the room the walls and several glass cases are adorned and almost littered with different styles and designs of armor and weaponry. A doorway across from the one you entered eminates a faint red glow and a dry heat, but is halfway hidden by a massive dark oak counter. A stout, pudgy figure emerges from the doorway and wipes a bit of soot mingling with the sweat from his brow with a rag from behind the counter. He hops onto a stool so one can see him fully. The white-bearded dwarf straightens a bit and says aloud,

"Serale, I'm Grimnoff, proprietor and metal worker here at the new location for The Anvil, now called The Anvil Reborn. Behind my head here," The dwarf hitches a thumb to a newly printed sign, "is a list of basic prices. Lemme know if you have any questions." With that he starts to clean with oil and a rag a relatively big double bladed axe that he hefts rather well.

[Chukuduck]

Chukuduck walked into the shop, almost without realizing it. But then it came back to her. She wanted a better weapon then the dagger she at the moment carried. She walked, half stumbled to the counter. She took the dwarf's greeting silently and scanned the list behind him. A short sword would be alright. Perfect, fine. Chukuduck wondered if she could give him the dagger as part of the payment, no she would keep the dagger.

"Yes," she muttered under her breath. "A shortsword is what I have come here for dwarf." She didn't care if she was rude or not. In fact, her head had a slight buzz to it right now...

[Oracle]

Grimnoff wrinkled his nose. This human did not smell lovely at all. She seemed a little unsteady. Another bum? He sighed wistfully. At least this one seemed motivated enough to pay for his wares.

"That's eighty crowns," he told her as he went to a rack and retrieved a shortsword. It had a simple sheath and a little loop attached to it with a metal buckle. Obviously it was intended for use on a belt of some sort. The craftsmanship was good, but not fancy. It would serve as a sturdy enough weapon. The dwarf kept his hand on the weapon until she paid up, though.

Chukuduck had never been informed of being mistakin as a human, something she prided in herself, but at the moment anything could have been made of her, through expressons or words and she wouldn't notice. She pulled the eighty crowns from her pocket and put them on the counter.

Chukuduck held out her hand for the sword.
