A lot had happened to Frigid River in recent times. A massive reorganizing of the city's guts had moved the bazaar to a new location, and in the move, the bazaar that had become notorious for selling just about anything under the sun had now become much more organized as well. Each booth had been relocated to certain sectors, divded by color, and the entire mass lay just outside the city proper.
Large colored banners waved over the tops of the stalls, guiding visitors to the various sectors. At the various entrances to the sectors, large wooden signs identified the sector and its color.
This one was the Red Sector, dealing with pets and livestock.
Great billowing tents had been set up for this sector, and the smell of hay, feed, and manure greets you as you enter. Supplies and food for every type of animal were clearly visible amongst the cages containing anything from wolf cubs to household cats. Upon wooden perches sat hawks and falcons, some silver, some brown, and a true rarity--a few white hawks could be seen screeching at potential buyers as the sellers tried in vain to quiet them.
Walking further takes one to the livestock section of the place, where bags of feed and bales of hay line narrow pathways. Oxen, horses, cows, and just about every other type of farming animal could be found here, either tied up or in pens, depending on the size of animal. Goats and sheep roamed large fenced in areas, bleating and making their presence known, while their owners went about their daily tasks, mucking out stalls and feeding the animals, stopping only long enough to greet a potential buyer with a nod and a smile.
