Lüdhra's Room at the Trellis Inn
Timestamp: Early Afternoon, 45th Brightening of Melora, Spring of Era II in the Celestine Mandate, Era XI Post Fractum.
Lüdhra put the slim brass key into the keyhole and turned, which resulted in a satisfactory click. She pushed open the oak door, and walked in.
It was simple, but for fifteen crowns at night the elven woman didn't expect a night in a castle. It did suffice for her standards though, and was clean and well kept, despite the modest furnishings. A pair of curtains made out of a cheerful sky blue colour material were draped over the small window the room contained, letting in the rays of the spring sun, that threatened to disappear in a few hours. Shutting the door, Lüdhra walked over to the glass and peered out of the transparent surface, getting a view of the gardens of the inn, her room being at the front.
Unfastening the strings that held her cloak in place, Lüdhra let the heavy black material droop around her shoulders, before piling it up and slinging it on a very basic wooden chair that stood in the south-west corner of the room without giving it a second glance. Loosening her belt and pouch, that contained nearly all her wordly possessions, she placed the leather ojects on the small bedside table, next to the currently empty candlestick. The she sat down on the blanketed bed, her elven figure almost half-collapsing as she changed positions. She managed to take her black boots off by wiggling her feet in an awkward manner, then sat back against the hard brick wall, fingering the pendant around her neck in a thoughtful manner, red lips pursed.
After a moment's reprieve, she reached behind her neck and unclasped the thin silver chain the pendant was on, the silvery snake of the metal sliding through stark black hair in an interesting contrast. Lüdhra studied the silver dragon, as she had night after night for the last twenty patterns or so. She had forgotton exactly how long it was. Lüdhra had possessed the metal wyrm and chain almost since birth, but had never really appreciated it until everything else had... gone.
Gripping her pendant proctectively in her hand, she curled up on the bed and floated into a troubled sleep.

Timestamp: Early Morning, 46th Brightening of Melora, Spring in Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XI Post Fractum.
Gentle rays of sunlight fell on Lüdhra's sleeping features as one of Telath's triplets rose into the mostly blue morning sky. Her eyelids fluttered irritably in the sudden light, and a small groan of annoyance escaped her lips as she turned on the slim inn bed and tried to avoid the morning.
She had slept the last afternoon, of sorts, before waking up in the early evening. Lüdhra had then taken a tour of the city, just an aimless wander around Frigid River, to clear her thoughts, and perhaps wear herself out enough that she could sleep again in the twilight hours. She had no idea how long she had been outside for, but by the time she had returned to the Trellis, the moon and stars were out to play.
Rubbing an eye with a curled up hand Lüdhra gave up fighting the sunlight and forced herself upwards, sitting on the edge of the bed as she gathered her thoughts and got ready to face another day. The elven woman got up, and tugging a hand through her slightly tangle black hair, looked out of the window. Judging by the sun, it was still fairly early. Lüdhra was quite pleased at that, because she had a fair amount of things that needed to be done that Brightening.
Stifling a yawn, she turned back to the interior of the room and picked up the things she needed for her trip out into Frigid River; her cloak, her pouch. In fact, that was all she owned in any case. As an afterthought, she picked up the key to the room she had rented and popped it in her money pouch, too. Getting locked out would just be silly.
Lüdhra fastened her cloak around her body, and took one last glimpse at the room before exiting the oaken door, and heading back out into the town.

Timestamp: Nearing Noon, First Brightening of Cryxatum, Summer in Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XI Post Fractum.
Well, that was that, then. Lüdhra looked around the inn room that had been her home for the past half a cycle to make sure that she hadn't forgotton anything. On the bed stood her two newly purchased backpacks, one full of provisions and equipment, the other full of the rest of her possessions, mostly consisting of the two dresses she had bought from the tailor's shop, and their accessories.
Lüdhra herself was wearing her black travelling clothes once more, the cloak draped temporarily over the bags on the bed, since she decided that she would not need to wear it in the warmth of summer. Belted at her waist was the rapier she had purchased and learnt how to use a few brightenings before, but she hoped it would not be necessary on her trip to Imperia. She hopped onto the bed, and did the last thing required in preparation for the trip; tugged on her boots and laced them up tightly.
After her footwear was secure, Lüdhra stood up once more and slung both the bags over her shoulders, grimacing slightly at the weight, which she would have no choice but to get used to, being on the road for at least two cycles, as she had estimated. Really, she needed someone to cart luggage around for her. She sighed, thinking that one day her old life would be restored, and she could have as many servants and possessions as she liked. Hardly likely that would actually happen though, and Lüdhra knew it. Occasionally she just got fanciful.
Threading the cloak through the straps of her bags for easy access in case it got chilly, Lüdhra tucked strands of long black hair behind her ears and picked up the room key from the small bedside cabinet where she had left it. The room was now pretty much how it had been on Lüdhra's arrival and not a mark of her presence was left in it, which was somehow... disheartening. No matter how many times the elven woman went through it, she just couldn't shake off that feeling.
Without thinking about it further, she exited the room and locked it. Lüdhra made her way down the stairs of the inn and handed the key over to the reception with barely two words of farewell to the young man who manned the desk.
She walked out of the inn, out of Frigid River, out into the wilderness, wondering if she'd be back one day.
