Update time,
Write 'alot' though in Frigid River and I spot it and you're in for a rough time. *grins* Incidently, Read or Die really isn't that great an anime... but then this is someone who's currently addicted to some bloody rediculous ones. Props to the person who can figure where Cassidy's table dancing dress came from with some minor changes.
Housing:
Congradulations, your land is either owned by Pirvan or House de Lylles. Realistically this means absolutely nothing IC other than some taxes your PC's would be losing each and every cycle (miniscule, I won't care... and if Vylle and Pirvan prod then they can complain to me instead *grins*) Rather than a 1 room Domilcile however Frigid River tends to be a little more open in the surroundings rather than crammed all together. The houses themselves characters can start with (for trading in their 1,000 gc deed, as per normal) are three room buildings made from stone with thatched roofs and generally a stone chimey on one side.
Money:
Don't use Alleria Prime's tables. Please.
I haven't put prices for the simple reason in a place like Frigid River, and in my own folly I intended on having things in such a situation you could barter, haggle, etc in an attempt to make shop threads even mildly less tedious. If you'd rather do things quickly, you lose this benefit - take a price from Alleria Prime, and usually you'd divide this by 3x the listed price. Usually. If something in FR costs more than 1,000 gc and isn't a house or shop, it's too much IMO given what you start with - if you've got a question and arn't sure - poke me with a PM and I'll usually have an answer within 12-24 hours.
Shops:
Most are owned by Pirvan Kaldres, or my NPC Ameilia who heads the City Council at this stage. Not all, i.e. the carpenter might if you don't offend him like a certain someone. *grins* If something you'd like to try isn't in FR - poke me. I tend to be rather relaxed and if you'd like to try your hand at say running a stables or pet store, I can arrange things.
As mentioned before, there's often no prices. Follow the system I mentioned, poke me if there's problems.
I will run shops for players who buy them if they so wish. There is a slight catch to this however. If you want me to run things, it means your PC is in Lauryl for that Paragdim Shift. There is no exceptions to this rule (unless you poke me and give decent reasoning)- if you want to earn money here and still go wandering, cool by me. But you run the store yourself. This is mostly because I'm annoying, but also because while I have absolutely no problems putting my time into people's plots and keeping things running - there's only so much I have the time to do and if you arn't here, my inclination to care drops.
Go wandering? The NPC is yours and you're expected to post if I drop you a PM stating exactly that.
If you fail to follow through, and someone's left hanging in that same annoying situation a lot of people suffer from - expect fire, murder, robbery, etc. You might not like this, but look on the bright side - I'll be devoting my time and effort into messing with your shop for being neglegent and not giving me notice (RL is RL, that doesn't count. I mean people who set up shop, and then go elsewhere while expecting to make easy profits at a moderators expense that could be better spent running plots for others). If you think I'm being unfair - take it up with a Game Director. My stance won't change mind, but I'll know you care. *grins*
Population/City Theme:
Frigid River is not Silrosia with it's lovely designs, nor it is Old Prime which was a city slummers dream (or nightmare depending on which side of a hangover you were on). It's basically Gaul (France) when the Romans took over, or perhaps some area's of England, etc.
If you want an example, think Asterix and Obelix, not the little tiny villiage but the more prominent towns. Frigid River is caught between the two aspects. It's not some little place where everyone knows each others name (yuk), nor can you vanish in the city and be totally ignored. Population wise is about 5,000, give or take given there's the trade route to consider and so there'd be a fluctuation of sorts. Not anything massive, just present. Town - very small, but it's not a city.
City Positions:
Currently Open:
Lord/Lady Thane of Frigid River
Commander of the City Militia
Constable
Prefect & Prefecture
Two Seats on the City Council.
Annoy Pirvan for these as he has to select a Thane so the positions can be filled again.
Other:
Incidently, please post all new locations you intend in the Realmscraft first and poke me to approve before writing them. Any plots, ideas you'd like? Go for it, I'm all for things so long as they fit the general city theme.

I can only use these for a few hours a day, I do use another chat program while I'm at university but this is not for moderation aspects and so I'll leave it at that. If it's important. PM will have to do.
If my GM inbox is full (rare, if ever), send the message to Aderyn te tuin Lothain, or Evan'daetir as these are my PC's. Failing this, use the send email option on Alleria. I check that email daily, once. I won't respond as quickly as a normal PM, but it gets read.
Cheers, Maddyn/Matt
