Description:
Two doors down from the Entrance to the Ministry of War sat another set of heavy well crafted oak doors, standing outside of it were two imperial guards which were easily noticeable. However it was likely there were more close by since this was an office of the Ministry of War. Like the rest each held a halberd and a sword at their side, and glinting chainmail armor. Their collars and sleeves had room to designate their ranks and legions. Like all the other guard postings throughout the Imperial Forum and specific locations around the capital these where members of the Empress' Own, the First Imperial Legion. They stood straight and hardly wavered at all, paying attention to only those who approached the door or regarded it with interest. All others they continued to look forward like unmoving statues standing guard on an ancient entranceway.
Unlike the Ministry of War's Office the main doors were not barred from anyone just entering. All those would be allowed to enter into the reception area of the Board. The guards at the door would open the large oak doorway and allow them to pass, although there eyes ever watchful as they closed it behind them. The small anteroom had two guards on either side of the circular office and at the farthest side from the entrance door was a long desk with a husky looking male in Imperial Uniform sitting behind it. Neatly placed stacks of papers here and there. Behind him on the wall a large map of the Aelyrian Empire. On the collier of the mans neck it bore the insignia of a Cencoris. He would look up from the paperwork he was currently looking at and nod to whomever was entering. "How can I help you?" his voice was emotionless as he asked the question.
To the mans right there was another set of large oak double doors which were guarded by two more members of the First Legion, although this time they stood partly in the path of the doorway as to refer that one may not enter without going through them first.
Once being granted entrance into the Directors Office the two guards would stand aside after the Cencoris gave them a brief nod to state it was acceptable for them to pass. Only one door would be opened by one of the guards, however if you were a member of the Imperial Government or that of Flag Rank within the Imperial Armed Forces they would both open each door.
Inside the office it was lined with several bookshelves, large windows sat at the back of the office looking out into a courtyard. From the right side of the doors sat a set of couches with a coffee table between them, a place for more informal relaxed venue. The small cupboard next to it against the wall was a place where a few glasses and drinks could be retrieved and had. However the left side of the room was rather different, it had a large oak table perhaps five meters long, and two meters wide with an enhanced map of the Aelyrian Empire. Small metal figures stood out of the map that highlighted the locations of the castles, and major cities of the empire, small figures of soldiers, horsemen and siege equipment also took place all across the map. Likely to notate specific things relating to the Legions, as there was also small naval figures and other such things around the map.
Sitting in front of the two large windows sat a very large oak desk that had around ten stacks of papers on it, neatly piled upwards with a small weight placed ontop of them, a candelabra sitting close to the center of the desk for extra light in the late darkening work. The oak chair that sat behind the table looked well built, and was padded for someone who would sit in it for extended period's of time. Directly above the chair on the small piece of wall that split the two windows sat a gold etched plaque. "Guarantee of the sovereignty of Aelyria, the defense of its territorial integrity and the imperial order."
Off to the side between two bookshelves was another doorway that lead off into a separate conference room used for various purposes.
