[Bureau Office] The Growth of the Blue Powers (Basic Crystalium Training)

(OOC: Been planning to do this for a long time, just have had the thread list size to achieve it. I poked Caerydd about it then when I plann and she said good. But Basically making this up as I go.)

Atl had retired to a study on the top floor. This room had a large table in the center, and had large cabinate along one wall. The table was clean but showed signs of having been worked on many times. A chair was sitting in a corner and lamps hung from each of the corners of the room.

Three cabinates were located along one of the walls. Each had a closed door, but inside of them was the various instruments that the Imperial Magus might need for his research.

Atl was standing in one corner by the door of the room holding a box. Inside the boxs were three decent size pieces of Crystallium or Blue Stone. The Imperial Magus had ordered research onto the subject, but felt that he need to also perform his own research into it, and with his current position and due to its magical nature studying the Blue stone could be achieved with his schedule. Atl walked forward and placed the box on the table.

Atl placed the box down pulling the pieces of crystallium out and looked them over. To atl's untrained eye the appeared flawless and normal, but that was something Atl was going to learn. He placed each on on a cushion and then walked over to a draw and pulled out the notes from their investigators.

Properties of Crystalium.

To correctly determine the properties of the blue crystal, it has been subjected to a series of magical and mundane tests. The findings are listed below.

Subjected to non-magical blows (I hit it with my hammer): Chipped a bit, nothing unusual other than this.
Subjected to magical blows (I threw lots of rocks at it): Pulverized into blue dust. The dust retains slightly magical properties, but these quickly fade. Could be nice to make ornaments out of or to splice it into glass.
Subjected to non-magical fire (I threw it in a forge): Rock get's hot and burns things... i've got the scars to prove it.
Subjected to magical fire (I blew the crap out of it): Do. Not. Do. This. The damn thing explodes!
Tested for Singes: The crystal appears to have no singes that can be activated. However, it does seem to be arcanic in nature, and thus will hold imbuements and enchantments rather well.
Tested for reaction to Arcana: Aside from blowing up when super-heated, the crystal does little else when subjected to the elements of air or water. Super-cooling does nothing. However, I have noticed that less Vis is required when casting my spells if I have some of this rock on my person. About half, which effectivley doubles the amount of spells that can be cast.

Generic Properties: The rock seems to alter it's properties depending on what is required by the owner. The ones mentioned above are constant no matter what. Therefore, it could potentially have a variety of uses.
Atl sat dow and read over it a few times. He then set it down and thought for a moment. What exactly were his goals with Crystallium? He knew that he wanted to research it better. It was that last part that particularly made him wonder.

Atl wanted to be able to master that being able to intune it with his abilities and needs. The stone might just be what is needed to alter the balance of power that was plaguing the empire. Archmage were rare and few, but maybe this might create something more powerful with out as much levels.

Atl picked up a piece of crystallium and looked it over. He then picked up a magnifying glass and looked through it. He carefully turned it over in his hands and looked at it wondering about its structure. That seemed a good place to start. He picked up to look at the structure of the stone, brining the magnifying glass. This was a raw piece so to speak. It hadn't been polished, and was slightly rugged.

He pulled back the glass and set it down desided that learning to work the stone manully would be just as critical. He thought paused and proceded to cast a simple spell create water. At such a low level it was hard to tell if their was a decress in vis used, but it was worth the testing.
