[Location] Villa Arguendo Sub Rosa
An exclusive club for the gentlemen politicians of Prime stood nestled between two innocuous government buildings, not for from the Senator's Circle and the House of Representatives. Unlike many of the elegant structures in the Imperial Forum, it was built in the gothic, Medonian style, and decorated with dark stone. This haunt of rich men had been around for centuries, and while it looked relatively modest in size from the front, encompassed several buildings to the rear.
Grand wooden doors stood firmly shut, although any observer would see that the members entered and exited as they pleased, with no apparent door man. Only a discreet golden plaque beside the door announced the name of the building

Walking up to the door and pushing gently would reveal to the visitor that there was no lock on the door. This was true at any time, for the House of Private Discussions never shut to its members. The visitor would arrive in a wood panelled antechamber, from which there were only two exits other than the one through which the visitor had come. Both doors were shut, and bizarrely plain compared to the rest of the room, which dripped with luxury. A crystal chandilier, though anyone in clara would be able to observe that the many points of light were the result of some spell. To normal sight it was a near blinding number of candles, if one cared to stare too long. The receptionists desk was large, but empty of the usual clutter. There was no ledger of members, and the receptionist himself was no where to be seen. On the desk itself there was an assortment of expensive looking oddments; a dark crystal orb, a golden paper knife, and a miniature of Alleria Prime.
A disembodied voice suddenly speaks.
"If you are not a member, speak your purpose.
If you are a member, pick the correct door and enter."

9th brightening of Cryxatum, Spring of Era XIII
A young half elven lass in palace livery entered the Villa Arguendo Sub Rosa, slightly timid due to unfamiliar surroundings, added the mysterious lack of a clerk behind the large desk. And no sooner did she begin to ponder knocking on one of the doors in question, did a voice appear from nowhere-causing her to blink visibly in response. But once gaining her wits about her, she spoke up while indicating the scroll in her hand, bound with black velvet ribbon and stamped with the Imperial seal. ”I’ve a message sent by his Most Imperial Excellency, to be delivered to his Imperial Grace, the lord Antonious de Lylles.”

The voice spoke up again with instructions for the young woman.
"Place the missive on the desk. Your message will be received more quickly if you place it on the paper knife."

The paper knife, the voice said. Still understandably unnerved by the invisible speaker, the young woman's eyes darted to the desk, then back at the scroll in her hand. It was quite likely the most unusual errand she'd ever been sent on, considering it was the simple delivery of a message. Still, her duty was what it was, and she a professional of sorts, so she nodded and approached the desk before carefully laying the small scroll atop the paper knife.
Then stepped back again, she pondered her instructions, those having been to wait for a reply should the Duke of de Lylles be readily available to provide one. That was the question then. "I have been asked to wait for a reply should his Imperial Grace be available. Shall I then?"

"He's detained right now, and will contact your master shortly. That is all." Then nothing remained but silence.

”Very well,” the liveried young woman drawled out with some discomfort at getting her answer. A summarized dismissal if there ever was one. And from a figure she could not see nor identify. It surely made her all the more curious as to what lay beyond the doors adjacent. But not for her to question why, her task was complete. ”Thank you. I will alert His Most Imperial Excellency to a forthcoming reply.” So saying, the half elf turned on her heel and was away again towards the Imperial Palace.

The Top of the Layercake...
42nd of Kalendryas, Winter of Era XIV Post Fractrum, Era II of the Regency of Milo
The Villa Arguendo. As of now, it had an establishment yet visited by Riconus, but that was hopefully soon to change. He had heard many stories of the people who frequented the Villa, and how exclusive its membership was. No doubt, such an acceptance would not be easily acquired, but fortunately in the Imperial Forum, money and power were assets that could always be shared in exchange for friendship.
Such an endeavour would be had by Riconus on this brightening. He made sure to dress himself properly, draped in a tunic and trousers of blue silk, and an ornate grey leather vest intended more for decoration than protection. It was somewhat unfamiliar attire for the Syl’rosyan general, as most of his meetings were had while he was covered in the shining armor that emphasized his presence. At least, wearing his cape of jaguar fur, something that he wore in almost every battle, made him feel somewhat more at home.
Riconus entered the antechamber with the accompaniment of two guards, draped only in black hooded cloaks, and holding an elven gladius tightly at their hip. He was somewhat frazzled as to how easy it had been to simply pass through the doors, and not be met by some sort of attendant at the front desk. Instead, it was a voice appearing out of no where, requesting his purpose. Admittedly, Xind’ell was never quite interested in arcana, yet still, such a magic display was certainly impressive.
”Serale. My name is Kestor Imperatis Riconus Xind’ell, Commander of the 26th Legion and Director-General of the Imperial Intelligence Agency. I’m looking to simply visit this establishment, and perhaps befriend a few individuals here so that I may return again sometime.”
He withdrew a pouch of 500 crowns soon after his words, and placed them on the table. He then continued, saying,
”I trust you wouldn’t mind?”
